Management System for Parking Free Space based on Open CV (Open CV를 기반으로 한 주차 여유 공간 관리 시스템)

  • This paper introduces the parking guide service developed to address the inconvenience of parking in areas where demand for parking spaces is high, such as busy streets and tourist attractions. Due to difficulties in measuring and developing the actual parking lot while driving the car, we created a temporary parking lot and created Arduino RC Car to replace the actual car. Video processing based on Open CV allows users to identify the entire parking lot, parking space, and completed parking space, and track moving cars, and this information has been developed to enable users to see through the application. The application allows the user to book the desired parking space and introduce a way-finding algorithm to guide them through the optimal path to the selected parking compartment.

  • Endodontic microsurgery is defined as the treatment performed on the root apices of an infected tooth, which was unresolved with conventional root canal therapy. Recently, the advanced technology in 3-dimensional model reconstruction based on computed tomography such as cone beam computed tomography has opened a new avenue in application of personalized, accurate diagnosis and has been increasingly used in the field of dentistry. Nevertheless, direct intra-oral localization of root apex based on the 3-dimensional information is extremely difficult and significant amount of bone removal is inevitable when freehand surgical procedure was employed. Moreover, gingival flap and alveolar bone fenestration are usually required, which leads to prolonged time of surgery, thereby increasing the chance of trauma as well as the risk of infection. The purpose of this case report is to present endodontic microsurgery using the guide template that can accurately target the position of apex for the treatment of an anterior tooth with calcified canal which was untreatable with conventional root canal therapy and unable to track the position of the apex due to the absence of fistula.

  • This paper proposes a new position detection method for train speed control using the PDOA(Phase Difference of Arrival). This method aims to apply to AGT(Automated Guide way Transit) systems, operated with driverless. So it is absolutely required to range, calculate and decide a train position precisely. This system consists of VRS (Vehicle Radio Set) and WRS(Wayside Radio Set). The VRS transmits a wireless signal to the WRS, the controller calculate a straight line with the PDOA. Next step calculate an exact position using track DB. This paper includes the concept, configuration, analysis and results of this method.

  • This paper proposes a new position detection method for train speed control using the Phase Difference of Arriving. This method aims to apply to Automated Guide-way Transit systems, to be operated without driver. So it is absolutely required to range, calculate and decide a train position precisely. This system consists of Vehicle Radio Set(VRS) and Wayside Radio Set(WRS). The VRS transmits a wireless signal to the WRS and the controller calculate a straight line and curve line with Phase Difference of Arriving(PDOA) and an exact position using track date-base is calculated at next step.

  • Recently, to solve the urban transportation problem, the introduction of Light Rail Transit system has been proceeded positively. therefore, development of the Korean standard LRT system in which safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness are emphasized. The Korea Railroad Research institute study on Rubber Tired AGT system of Light Rail Transit to obtain the essential technology and engineering know-how, which leads lower LRT construction cost. In the development procedure, SE(system Engineering) is needed for combination of subsystem and optimum operation effect. This study is focused on the interface of LRT subsystem(Development of the rubber tired LRT, Power supply system, signalling and train control system, Elevated track structure for the rubber tired LRT), a important part of SE, to develop of the driverless LRT system and establish the test and evaluation.

  • In this paper, a high speed rotating arc sensor for automatic fillet welding is introduced. In order to track the welding seam, The high speed rotating arc sensor is used. The welding tip of a high speed rotating arc sensor rotates about 3000 rpm using DC motor. The rotating torch is driven by gear between welding torch body and wire guide. The welding current is measured by using the current sensor and rot at ing position sensor. To realize the welding seam tracking algorithm with accuracy, a software filter algorithm using the moving average method is applied to the measured welding current in the microprocessor. The welding mobile robot with two wheels and two sliders is developed for fillet welding. The welding mobile robot can control its traveling direction and turn itself around the corner. The effectiveness is proven through the experimental results conducted with varied fillet tracking patterns.

  • Rubber wheeled AGT(Automated Guide-way Transit) system is a prominence transportation system for urban area, because of its low construction cost and management, low noise and vibration and fine exterior view. AGT system uses concrete tracks. Concrete can be easily damaged by the impact, change of temperature and external loads. The fault of concrete track is harmful not only to riding quality but also to bridge. Therefore, in this study, the effects of railway prominence to the bridge are surveyed by experimental method. The experiment was executed for PSC bridge at AGT test line in Kyungsan. And the test results for 5mm, 10mm prominence and without prominence are compared and investigated, according to the vehicle speed.

  • The aim of this paper is to provide a guide to those methods of train detection which are available, or are likely to become available, to the designer of train control or other relevant systems. In broad terms, train detection may be defined as the process of generating information which describes the location and movement of trains. Train detection information is difficult to define in isolation. Consider, for example, the train detection information required in a modern train control system. This may vary considerably : in a future high performance train control system, it might be necessary to know the precise position, direction of movement, speed, and possibly even the acceleration or braking, of all trains in the control area : in a less demanding application, it might be sufficient to know only the location of trains in terms of the occupation of sections of track.

  • To improve the productivity in the harbor, successful development of an UCT(Unmanned Container Transporter) is needed. Well-designed steering and velocity control systems are the key factor for the development of the UCT. In this paper, a research concerning the achievement of the steering control is introduced. To get an information on the guide line that the UCT should track, the vision system is applied. By using neural network, proper steering angle is gotten fast with less influence of the image disturbance. A simulation based on the UCT kinematics is performed with the measured steering angle, and it shows satisfactory results.
