It is important to measure the height of trees as an essential element for assessing the forest health in urban areas. Therefore, an automated method that can measure the height of individual tree as a three-dimensional forest information is needed in an extensive and dense forest. Since airborne LiDAR dataset is easy to analyze the tree height(z-coordinate) of forests, studies on individual tree height measurement could be performed as an assessment forest health. Especially in urban forests, that adversely affected by habitat fragmentation and isolation. So this study was analyzed to measure the height of individual trees for assessing the urban forests health, Furthermore to identify environmental factors that affect forest growth. The survey was conducted in the Mt. Bongseo located in Seobuk-gu. Cheonan-si(Middle Chungcheong Province). We segment the individual trees on coniferous by automatic method using the airborne LiDAR dataset of the two periods (year of 2016 and 2017) and to find out individual tree growth. Segmentation of individual trees was performed by using the watershed algorithm and the local maximum, and the tree growth was determined by the difference of the tree height according to the two periods. After we clarify the relationship between the environmental factors affecting the tree growth. The tree growth of Mt. Bongseo was about 20cm for a year, and it was analyzed to be lower than 23.9cm/year of the growth of the dominant species, Pinus rigida. This may have an adverse effect on the growth of isolated urban forests. It also determined different trees growth according to age, diameter and density class in the stock map, effective soil depth and drainage grade in the soil map. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the distance to the road and the solar radiation as an environmental factor affecting the tree growth. Since there is less correlation, it is necessary to determine other influencing factors affecting tree growth in urban forests besides anthropogenic influences. This study is the first data for the analysis of segmentation and the growth of the individual tree, and it can be used as a scientific data of the urban forest health assessment and management.
The somatotropic axis plays a key role in proliferation and differentiation of avian organs during both pre- and posthatching periods. This review discusses the complexity of regulation of the endocrine system for chicken development and growth by growth hormone (GH), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), and IGF binding protein (IGFBP). In addition, the thyrotropic axis, including thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and thyroid hormones ($T_4$ and $T_3$), is also involved in the GH-secreting pattern. In mammals, IGFI and -II are always sequestered in a 150 kDa non-covalent ternary complex. This complex consists of one molecule each of IGF-I or IGF-II, IGFBP-3 or IGFBP-5 and an acid labile subunit (ALS). Chick ALS is identified in different strains for the first time, and further investigation of the expression of ALS on developmental stage and ALS effect on IGF bioavailability may be addressed in the future.
Purpose - The objective of this study is to investigate the dynamic relationships among Advertising Cost (AD), Newly Registered Users(NRU), and Buying Users(BU) of Social Network Game(SNG). SNG is getting pervasive mainly due to the rapid growth of mobile game and Social Network Service(SNS). It would be helpful for marketing researchers interested in SNG and related practitioners to understand the changes in AD, NRU, and BU with time as well as the effects on one another in mutual and dynamic way. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - Necessary data were collected from Social Network Game(SNG) company. AD, NRU, and BU are endogenous variables, but new event such as launching (event) and holidays(holiday) are exogenous dummy variables. Vector Auto regression (VAR) model is generally used to examine and capture the dynamic relationships among endogenous variables. VAR model can easily capture dynamic and endogenous relationships among time-series variables. Vector Auto regression with Exogenous variables(VARX) is a model in which exogenous variables are added to VAR. To investigate this study, VARX is applied. Result - By estimating the VARX model, the author finds that the past periods' NRU affect negatively and significantly the present AD, and past periods' BU have a positive and significant impact on the increase of AD. In addition, the author shows that the past periods' AD and BU have a positive and significant effect on the increase of NRU, and the past periods' AD affect positively and significantly BU. While the impact of AD on NRU happens after 3 or 4 days (carryover effect), that of AD on BU comes about within just 1 or 2 days (immediate effect). The effect of BU on NRU can be considered as word of mouth (WOM effect). Therefore, SNG companies can obtain not only the growth of revenue but also the increase of NRU by increasing BU. Through those results, the author can also find that there are significant interactions between endogenous variables. Conclusion - This study intends to investigate endogenous and dynamic relationships between AD, NRU, and BU. They also give managerial implications to practitioners for SNS and SNG firms. Through this study, it is found that there exist significant interactions and dynamic relationships between those three endogenous variables. The results of this study can have meaningful implications for practitioners and researchers of SNG. This research is unique in that it deals with "actual" field data and intend to find "actual" relationships among variables unlike other related existing studies which intend to investigate psychological factors affecting the intention of game usage and the intention of purchasing game items. This study is also meaningful by showing that the increase of BU can be a good strategy for "killing birds with one stone" (i.e., revenue growth and NRU increase). Although there are some limitations related with future research topics, this research contributes to the current research on SNG marketing in the above mentioned ways.
This study was conducted to investigate effects of waterlogging on the growth, physiological responses, and yield of Kimchi cabbage. The growth of Kimchi cabbage with applied optimized air temperature (set to $20^{\circ}C$) was greater than those with high air temperature (set to $30^{\circ}C$) and the growth significantly decreased by severe waterlogging treatment. The net photosynthetic rate of outer leaves on one hour after waterlogging treatment was higher at 72 hours waterlogging treatment in $20^{\circ}C$ and lower at 24 hours of waterlogging treatment in $30^{\circ}C$. The root activity was decreased by the elevation of waterlogging periods in $20^{\circ}C$ treatment and lower by the short of waterlogging periods in $30^{\circ}C$ treatment. The ratio of formality with non-waterlogging treatment was approximately 64% under $20^{\circ}C$ air temperature and that of range was from 16 to 30% under $30^{\circ}C$. The yield under $20^{\circ}C$ showed higher than that under high air temperature. The non-waterlogging treatment in $20^{\circ}C$ had 4,463 kg/10a, which was the greatest among all treatments, while yields of non-waterlogging treatment at $30^{\circ}C$ were significantly low as 1,082 kg/10a. Results suggested that additional drainage work should be needed to overcome waterlogged conditions of open field during heavy rainfall and should be drainage as soon as possible if there are waterlogging.

Three experiments were conducted with broilers to study the effects of early feed restriction. In all studies, treatments were represented by three replicated floor pens, each containing 20 birds. In Experiment 1, broilers were fed at 0.75 kcal ME/g BW/sup0.67 for 3 d, 1.5kcal m/E BW/sup0.67 for 5 d or 2.25 kcal ME/g BW/sup0.67 for 7 d, all imposed beginning at 7 d of age. Birds were smaller following feed restriction(P<0.05), although growth compensation occurred, and at 49 d all restricted birds were same(P>0.05) to full-fed control buds in body weight. Growth compensation was associated with improved feed conversion(P<0.05), although carcass composition was unchanged. In a second study, all birds were fed at 0.75 kcal ME/g BW/sup0.67 for 3 or 5 d, starting at either 4, 7, or 10 d of age. When feed restriction was applied for shorter periods of time, growth compensation occurred(P>0.05). With more severe feed restriction, birds were smaller(P<0.05) at 49 d compared to control. Feed conversion was improved following prior feed restriction(P<0.05, 4 to 49). In a third trial, broilers were fed a starter diet diluted with 50% rice hulls. Birds failed to consume enough of this diluted feed, and so were initially smaller, However 49 d weight was not affected (P>0.05). When periods of 24 h feed withdrawal were imposed in conjunction with the diluted diets, birds were under weight at 49 d. It is concluded that physical feed restriction at 0.75 to 1.5 kcal ME/g BW$\^$0.67 imposed for 3 to 5 d in the early life currently presents the best option as a means of controlling broiler growth so as to improve feed efficiency.
This experiment was carried out to evaluate the flooding injury and yield compensating ability by uppernode tillers formed during the recovery periods. Rice plants grown in experimental field transplanted on 1st, June were completely flooded for 3 days by the artificial flooding device in each different growth stage such as middle tillering stage (20 days after transplanting), young panicle formation stage, meiotic stage and heading stage. And the farmer's rice fields which had various transplanting dates were completely flooded for 3 days by typhoon 'Thelma' from 16th to 18th, July, 1987. Percent of dead leaves and yield reduction of rice in experimental field flooded at the different growth stages were resulted that the earlier growth stages were the lower damage because of the low temperature in the earlier growth stage, but it showed opposite tendency in farmer's rice field flooded in high temperature season by typhoon 'Thelma'. Rice yield compensating ability attained to 66% of check plot yield was greatly depend on uppernode panicles induced after damage of original young panicles. Uppernode panicle produced 236 kg per 10a in polished rice by securing 690$^{\circ}C$ of accumulated mean temperature and 210 hours of sunshine during the ripening periods when headed up to 15th of September.

This study examined the potential effects of urban growth on streamflow in the Gyungan River watershed, Korea, using urban containment scenarios. First, two scenarios (conservation and development) were established, and SLEUTH model was adapted to predict urban growth into the year 2060 with 20 years interval under two scenarios in the study area. Urban growth was larger under scenario 2, focusing on development, than under scenario 1, focusing on conservation. Most urban growth was predicted to involve the conversion of farmland, forest, and grasslands to urban areas. Streamflow in future periods under these scenarios was simulated by the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model. Each scenario showed distinct seasonal variations in streamflow. Although urban growth had a small effect on streamflow, urban growth may heighten the problems of increased seasonal variability in streamflow caused by other factor, such as climate change. This results obtained in this study provide further insight into the availability of future water resource and can aid in urban containment planning to mitigate the negative effects of urban growth in the study area.

The economic evaluation of the feasibility of expanding fully irrgated agriculture in the Ogseo project must consider preproject yields of rice under rainfed and partially irrigated paddy cultivation in order to assess incremental incomes from irrigation. Statistical data on yields available from official sources and field surveys conducted in the project area do not specify whether given unit yields refer to actually cropped or potentially cropped lands. This latter factor obviously affects any evaluation of marginal benefits to be derived from irrigation as the extent of rainfed areas actually cropped varies from year to year according to rain fall at the critical growth periods for low land rice. Although less dependent on direct rainfall, yields from partially irrigated lands are also highly affected by seasonal rainfalls. In this paper on attempt has been made to determine average yield under rainfed and partially irrigated conditions by relating yields to a available water. For rainfed paddy cultivation, the analysis discriminates between effects of rain deficiencies during transplanting and subsquent growth periods. For partially irrigated paddy cultivation, seasonal rainfalls have been considered, implying sufficient storage capacity for supplementary irrigation. The average yield of rainfed paddy has been calculated as 2.11 t/ha and that of partially irrigated paddy as 2.8 t/ha. Assuming even division between these two water supply patterns of areas not fully irrigated, a composite yield of 2.46 t/ha is oftained. This figure will be adopted as the basis for the on-going studies and project evaluation.

This study was conducted to evaluate the trace elemental nutritive values of soil and forages collected from southwestern part of the province of Punjab, Pakistan. Soil and forage samples were collected fortnightly for two seasons. The concentrations of some trace minerals varied greatly among seasons and sampling periods. Seasonal effects were found in all soil micro-minerals except zinc, while forage iron, zinc, and selenium were affected by seasonal changes. Sampling periods effects were observed in all soil minerals and in forage copper, iron, zinc, and manganese only. All soil mineral levels except cobalt and selenium were sufficiently high to meet the requirements of plants for normal growth during both seasons. In contrast, soil Co and Se levels were severely deficient during both seasons and considered inadequate for plant growth. Soil Fe, Zn, Co, and Se levels were higher, and Cu and Mn lower during winter than those during summer. Forage Zn levels during summer were at marginal deficient levels, and in contrast, all other forage micro-minerals were within the required range for ruminants during both seasons. Although forage mico-minerals were within the range required by the ruminants, they were not sufficiently high to prevent the predisposition to various diseases caused by nutrient deficiency. Consequently, grazing animals at this location need continued mineral supplementation of these elements with a mixtures of high bio-availability rather than of high micro-mineral contents to support optimum ruminant productivity.
