캠-슬라이더 메커니즘 테이프 피더의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Analysis for a Tape Feeder with Cam-slider Mechanism)

  • A tape feeder is an important feeding device to supply micro-chips such as 1005 and 0603 components to PCB in SMT process. Traditionally, tape feeding methods using sprocket wheel mechanism has been used for the pickup system of chip-mounters. However, there is growing needs for new feeding mechanism with high accuracy and confidence as electric components are getting much smaller. Thus, recently, a tape feeder using cam-slider mechanism is developed to meet such requirements. The major advantages of developed system are; significantly reduced indexing and backlash errors, slim and compact design, and improved repetitive capacity compared to existing system. In this paper, the performance evaluation criteria for the developed tape feeder are suggested. Stability against induced vibration, positioning accuracy, cycle time, durability and supply error rate are estimated using developed self testers. As a result, the excellence of developed tape feeding mechanism is validated using the effective rating methods.

  • No-flow ischemia occurs during cardiac arrest, hemorrhagic shock, liver resection and transplantation. Recovery of blood flow and normal physiological pH, however, irreversibly injures the liver and other tissues. Although the liver has the powerful machinery for mitochondrial quality control, a process called mitophagy, mitochondrial dysfunction and subsequent cell death occur after reperfusion. Growing evidence indicates that reperfusion impairs mitophagy, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, defective oxidative phosphorylation, accumulation of toxic metabolites, energy loss and ultimately cell death. The importance of acetylation/deacetylation cycle in the mitochondria and mitophagy has recently gained attention. Emerging data suggest that sirtuins, enzymes deacetylating a variety of target proteins in cellular metabolism, survival and longevity, may also act as an autophagy modulator. This review highlights recent advances of our understanding of a mechanistic correlation between sirtuin 1, mitophagy and ischemic liver injury.

열가용화를 이용한 음식물탈리여액의 고형물 감량화 및 메탄 생산에 관한 연구 (Solid Reduction and Methane Production of Food Waste Leachate using Thermal Solubilization)

  • Since the ocean dumping of organic wastes is prohibited under the London Convention, the need for land treatment of food waste leachate (FWL) has significantly been growing in recent years. This study was conducted to use thermal solubilization to turn FWL into a form that can easily be degraded during the anaerobic digestion process, thereby reducing the percentage of solids and increasing the production of methane. To derive the optimal operating conditions of thermal solubilization, a laboratory-scale reactor was built and operated. The optimal reaction temperature and time turned out to be $190^{\circ}C$ and 90 min, respectively. The BMP test showed a methane production of 465 mL $CH_4/g$ $COD_{Cr}$ and a biodegradation rate of 90.1%. The production of methane rose by about 15%, compared with no the application of thermal solubilization. To reduce the solid content of FWL and improve the methane production, therefore, it may be helpful to apply thermal solubilization to pre-treatment facilities for anaerobic digestion.

마그네트론 스퍼터를 이용한 Ar 가스 유량 조절에 따른 GZO의 특성 변화 (Effect of Ar Flow Ratio on the Characteristics of Ga-Doped ZnO Grown by RF Magnetron Sputtering)

  • The structural, optical, and electrical properties of Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) thin films on glass substrates grown by radio-frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering were investigated. The flow ratio of Ar was varied as a deposition parameter for growing high-quality GZO thin films. The structural properties and surface morphologies of GZO were characterized by the X-ray diffraction. To analyze the optical properties of GZO, the optical absorbance was measured in the wavelength range of 300-1100 nm by using UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The optical transmittance, absorption coefficient, and optical bandgap energy of GZO thin films were calculated from the measured data. The crystallinity of GZO thin films is improved and the bandgap energy increases from 3.08 to 3.23eV with the increasing Ar flow ratio from 10 to 100 sccm. The average transmittance of the films is over 88% in the visible range. The lowest resistivity of the GZO is $6.215{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ and the hall mobility increases with the increasing Ar flow ratio. We can optimize the characteristics of GZO as a transparent electrode for thin film solar cells by controlling Ar flow ratio during deposition process.

Synthesis of Core-Shell Silica Nanoparticles with Hierarchically Bimodal Pore Structures

  • Reflecting the growing importance of nanomaterials in science and technology, controlling the porosity combined with well-defined structural properties has been an ever-demanding pursuit in the related fields of frontier researches. A number of reports have focused on the synthesis of various nanoporous materials so far and, recently, the nanomaterials with multimodal porosity are getting an emerging importance due to their improved material properties compared with the mono porous materials. However, most of those materials are obtained in bulk phases while the spherical nanoparticles are one of the most practical platforms in a great number of applications. Here, we report on the synthesis of the core-shell silica nanoparticles with double mesoporous shells (DMSs). The DMS nsnoparticles are spherical and monodispersive and have two different mesoporous shells, i.e., the bimodal porosity. It is the first example of the core-shell silica nanoparticles with the different mesopores coexisting in the individual nanoparticles. Furthermore, the carbon and silica hollow capsules were also fabricated via a serial replication process.

The Interaction between Methanol Dehydrogenase and MxaJ Protein of a Marine Methylotrophic Bacterium Methylophaga aminisulfidivorans $MP^T$

  • Methylophaga aminisulfidivorans $MP^T$, a restricted facultative marine methylotrophic bacterium, was able to utilize methanol as a sole carbon and energy source, and possessed a methanol dehydrogenase (MDH) that is a key enzyme in the process of methanol oxidation. During purification of MDH, three types of MDH (MDH I, II, and III) were obtained in the cell free extracts from $MP^T$ cells grown on methanol. When analyzed by SDS-PAGE and ESI-FT ICR MS, MDH I was confirmed to consist of two subunits and with molecular masses of ~66 and ~10 kDa, respectively, in a form of ${\alpha}_2{\beta}_2$. While MDH II and MDH III contained an additional ~30 kDa protein, designated ${\gamma}$, in a form of ${\alpha}_2{\beta}_2{\gamma}$ and ${\alpha}_2{\beta}_2{\gamma}_2$, respectively. MDH III showed 1.5.2.0 times higher activity than MDH II, while MDH I remained the lowest activity. Based on these observations and experimental data, it seems that the original MDH conformation is ${\alpha}_2{\beta}_2{\gamma}2$ within $MP^T$ growing on methanol, and subunit ${\gamma}$ keeps MDH in an active form, and/or makes MDH easily bind to the substrate, methanol.

  • In this study mesh-type PECVD system was suggested to minimize the hydrogen concentration. The main structural difference between the triode system and a conventional system is that, a third electrode, a mesh, is inserted between the powered and the ground electrode. We investigated several conditions to compare with conventional PECVD. The main effect of mesh was to minimize the substrate damage by ion bombardment and to enhance the surface reaction to induce hydrogen desorption. It was also found that hydrogen concentration decreased but deposition rate increased as increasing applied bias. Applied DC-bia s enhanced sputtering process. Intense ion bombardment causes the weakly bonded hydrogen or hydrogen-containing species to leave the growing film and increased adatom mobility. Furthermore, addition of hydrogen gas enhance the surface diffusion of adatom.

Mobile Internet News Consumption: An Analysis of News Preferences and News Values

  • Internet news consumption is rapidly growing in Korea, and majority of that is being done through Naver, Korea's primary search engine. Naver is also the go-to search engine for smartphone use. This study analyzed 824 most popular news accessed via mobile gears; the news items were selected from Naver's 'Daily Top 10 Stories,' dating from March 2016 to December 2016. The results indicate that entertainment news were the most viewed, while political and social issue news were the most liked and commented by mobile users. With regard to news value, 'prominence' and 'impact' were the two most important factors that influenced a user's news selection process in a mobile environment. The degree of a news' 'prominence' was the most important factor that determined the number of views, while 'impact' was critical to determining "the most commented-upon" and "the most liked" news. The results also indicate that mobile news consumers prefer more dramatic storylines and events that incite public anger or grief, threaten the safety of citizens, or evoke emotional sympathy rather than 'hard news' about such subjects as politics and economics.

Seamless Mobility Management in IP-based Wireless/Mobile Networks with Fast Handover

  • The challenges of rapidly growing numbers of mobile nodes in IPv6-based networks are being faced by mobile computing researchers worldwide. Recently, IETF has standardized Mobile IPv6 and Fast Handover for Mobile IPv6(FMIPv6) for supporting IPv6 mobility. Even though existing literatures have asserted that FMIPv6 generally improves MIPv6 in terms of handover speed, they did not carefully consider the details of the whole handover procedures. Therefore, in conventional protocols, the handover process reveals numerous problems manifested by a time-consuming network layer based movement detection and latency in configuring a new care of address with confirmation. In this article, we study the impact of the address configuration and confirmation procedure on the IP handover latency. To mitigate such effects, we propose a new scheme which can reduce the latency taken by the movement detection, address configuration and confirmation from the whole handover latency. Furthermore, a mathematical analysis is provided to show the benefits of our scheme. In the analysis, various parameters are used to compare our scheme with the current procedures, while our approach is focused on the reduction of handover latency. Finally, we demonstrate total handover scenarios for the proposed techniques and discussed the major factors which contribute to the handover latency.
