계획된 행위이론을 적용한 실습중 사고예방 교육 프로그램 개발 - 치기공학과 학생을 중심으로 - (Development of an Accident Prevention Education Program on an application of the Theory of Planned Behavior during Exercise (Focusing on Students Majoring in Dental Technicians))

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to provide information about safe actions during the practice of dental technology, promote belief in safe actions among the students of dental technology, and reinforce their knowledge about how to act safety. Methods: Open questions were asked to 120 sophomores majoring dental technology to understand the target group's belief about safe actions. Following the instructions by Ajzen & Fishbein, the collected data were grouped according to similar beliefs. Those beliefs of the highest frequency were given a priority and got to represent the belief level of the target group. Even with belief changes, however, they would not be able to practice safe actions if they had no knowledge about how to do safe actions. For desirable behavioral changes among the students, the students were then asked to discuss the current state of safety accidents and issues focusing on the materials and processes used in the practice and give presentations regarding the subjects to identify risk factors. Then the identified risk factors were used to devise the program contents so that the students could practice safe actions through accurate behavioral approaches and belief changes by educating them about how to act safely by the practice processes and the involved materials and devices. Results: Not only do the students of Dept. of Dental Technicians have difficulties with the complex practice processes while practicing to make dental prosthesis, but they are exposed to the risk of accidents as they're poor at dealing with the materials and devices. Although there is a definite need for accident prevention education programs before practice, the reality is that the school doesn't the schoosuch education. Based on the judgment that an education program designed to reinforce belief for behavioral changes would generate effgrams results, an education program was developed by applying the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB). Along with their beliefs, the current state of accidents n. Basepractice, demand for safety education, and practice level of safe actions were used to device the contents of accident prevention education and to develop an accident prevention education program for dental technology. Conclusion: The study presents an accident prevention education program developed to reinforce dental technology students' beliefs and knowledge and to help them do safe actions during practice.

부산시 일개구 지역주민의 위암선별검사 수검 및 반복수검 실태 및 관련요인조사 (Stomach Cancer Screening and Repeat Screening Behaviors among Adults in an Urban Area)

  • The importance of repeat screening for stomach cancer is well known to decrease deaths from stomach cancer. This study was aimed at assessing practice behaviors and to identify related factors in the aspects of demographic factors, health status and cancer risk recognition, attitude to cancer screening, health behaviors, and inhibiting or facilitating factors to stomach cancer screening in an urban area. Data was collected through self-administered questionnaires from 403 people aged 40 to 69 years from April 23th to May 15th, 2002. Practice behaviors were classified as : "ever" or "never", and "repeat" or "not repeat" grouped based on a recent 5 year screening history. The results were as follows: 1. Among the 403 subjects: "the ever group" was 23.8% and "the repeat group" was 4.0%, The rates of screening were 20.5% for men, 27.8% for those women, and 27.3% for aged 40-49, 24.5% for those aged 50-59, 19.0% for those aged 60-69. The rates of repeat screening were 4.0% for men, 4.1% for women, and 2.9% for those aged 40-49, 6.3% for aged 50-59, 2.5% for those aged 60-69. 2. The main factors associated with adherence to gastric cancer screening were education(post high school vs below : OR=2.44), previous cancer screening(yes vs no : OR=2.61), belief in personal health(no vs yes : OR=2.72), health status(unhealthy vs healthy : OR=3.40), possibility of cancer compared to others(low vs not low : OR=2.56), and regular exercise(yes vs no : OR=2.94). The main factor associated with adherence to gastric cancer repeat screening was other cancer screening(yes vs no : OR=6.33). Consequently, there is a need to change the recognition of the importance and necessity of stomach cancer screening in healthy conditions through health education, and to perform multiple screening tests each visit.

발레핏(Balletfit)프로그램이 체형 변화에 미치는 효과 연구 (Effects of Balletfit on the Body Shape)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 Balletfit의 원리와 그 프로그램 구조를 이해하고 신체모양의 변화와 자세 교정에 대한 Balletfit의 효과를 확립하는데 있다. 본 연구는 가장 일반적으로 사용되는 질적 연구 방법을 바탕으로 3개월에서 6개월 동안 Balletfit 개인 레슨을 주 2 회를 수강 한 10 명을 선정하였다. 이 참가자들은 깊이 있는 통찰력을 얻기 위해 그룹 레슨 대신 개인 레슨 참가자로 선발하였다. 본 연구는 소수의 참가자들에게만 국한되어 결과를 표준화하기는 어렵다. 또한 이 연구는 자세 측정 장치가 아닌 참가자의 의견을 토대로 하기 때문에 결과의 정확도 또한 제한적임을 밝혀둔다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 참여 동기는 인터넷 조사 또는 지인의 추천으로 운동을 시작한 경우가 대부분이었다. 둘째, 자신의 신체를 인식하고 자세를 교정하려고 노력하고 있었다. 셋째, 이상적인 자세로 회복되었다. 대부분의 참가자들은 이상적인 자세가 무엇인지를 알게 되었고 참가자의 신체가 이상적으로 변화되어 참가자는 내/외부 신체를 인식하여 건강을 회복했다. 마지막으로, 그들은 아름다운 바디 라인을 선호하는 경향이 있었다. 경험 후에 모든 참가자들은 바디 라인에 관심을 갖게 되었고 올바른 자세로 아름다운 바디 라인을 만드는 것을 선호했다. Balletfit의 가장 중요한 효과는 바디 라인이다. 따라서 Balletfit의 경험은 내외부의 신체 인식을 발전시키고 신체 형태의 변화에 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 본고는 바라본다. Balletfit은 아름답고 건강한 신체를 원하는 현대인에게 만족스러운 운동이 될 것이다.

저주파 전침자극이 허벅지 둘레에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Effect of Electro-acupuncture on Regional Fat by Measuring Thigh Circumference)

  • Objectives: Although electro-acupuncture is being utilized to reduce weight in Korea, its usefulness in obesity management has not been fully evaluated yet. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of Electro-acupuncture on thigh circumference. Methods: 12 healthy volunteers participated in this study. We measured the circumference of both thighs, and treated the thicker one with transcutaneous electro-acupuncture at 8 acupoints, 10 times in total. The electrical parameters were : 1st step frequency set was at 15Hz and the treatment proceeded for 50 minutes, 2nd step at 50Hz for 10 minutes and at 3rd step the acupunctures were removed and electrodes were attached on the lower limb at 166Hz for 15 minutes. In order to evaluate the effect of the treatment, total body weight, percentage of body fat and thigh circumference were measured 4 times. Before the treatment, after 5th and 10th treatment and 1 month after completion of the whole treating procedure. Statistical significance(P<0.05) was determined using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. We did not control diet, exercise and lifestyle of the volunteers. Results: No significant change was shown in body weight after 10 times of treatment. Yet the thigh circumference of effect group significantly decreased after 5th treatment and 10th treatment. The circumference of control group that was not treated by electro-acupuncture significantly decreased too. At first, difference between the two thighs in circumference was obvious, but no difference was left after 10 times of treatments on the thicker thigh. Percentage of body fat was significantly decreased. 1 month after having completed the treatment, there was no significant difference of body weight, thigh circumferences and percentage of body fat. Conclusion: These results suggest that electro-acupuncture effectively regulates regional fat, body fat percentage and body shape.

노인 체력 측정 결과와 보행 특성의 관계 (The Relationships among Gait Parameters and Senior Fitness Variables in Korean Elderly People)

  • 본 연구는 65세에서 85세 사이의 남녀 노인 200명을 대상으로 노인 체력 측정과 보행 검사를 실시하여 노인의 체력 변인과 보행 특성 간의 관계를 조사하고자 하였다. 연구 대상자는 65세에서 85세 사이의 노인 200명으로 노인 체력 검사(Senior Fitness Test) 항목 6개와 추가 체력검사 3개(수직점프, 외발서기, 악력) 및 보행 측정을 수행하였다. 보행은 신발에 장착된 가속도계 기반 보행 측정 장비를 사용하였다. 이원분산분석, 주요인분석, 상관관계 분석을 실시하여 연령에 따른 영향과 변인들 간의 관계성을 파악하였다. 실험 결과 나이에 따라 보행 능력(보장, 6분 걷기), 제지방량, 체력(아령 들기)의 유의한 감소가 있었다(p<.05). 33개의 체력 및 보행 변인을 대상으로 주성분 분석을 실시한 결과 5개의 주성분(보행 특성, 신체 특성, 보행 가변성, 체지방 요인, 체력 요인)이 나타났으며 전체 가변성의 64.7% 설명력을 나타냈다. 보행 시 편한 보속은 보폭, 외발지지 시간과는 정적 상관, 양발지지 시간, 보행 가변성 변인들과는 부적 상관을 나타냈다(p<.05). 노인들의 삶의 질을 유지하려면 보행 능력이 매우 중요하며 이것은 근력운동을 통해 유지 또는 개선되어야 한다.

자화침 시스템을 이용한 경락전위 유발효과 및 근피로 회복 평가 (Evaluation of Muscle Fatigue Recovery Effect and Meridian Potential Change using Magnetic Acupuncture System)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this research was to develop the magnetic acupuncture system which used solenoid coil for magnetizing acupuncture needle. The system could generate the meridian electric potential (MEP) similar to the potential by manual acupuncture. Thus, we tried to confirm the therapeutic effect that is caused by the MEP generation. Methods : To confirm the MEP, we stimulated the magnetic acupuncture with at 2Hz, $92.7{\pm}2mT$, PEMFs (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Fields) at ST37 and measured the evoked potential between ST36 and ST41. Also, we conducted a fatigue recovery test using isokinetic exercise in order to identify the therapeutic effect on musculoskeletal disorders. We chose LR9 as a stimulation point. To observe the state of fatigue, we measured the EMG and analyzed median frequency and peak torque for 20minutes. Results : We observed that MEP which incurred from magnetic acupuncture was higher than he reported MEP induced by manual acupuncture. Moreover, its modes were divided into two types by the direction of magnetic flux. When generating magnetic flux in the direction of acupoint, the positive peak voltage of the MEP was generated. In contrast, negative peak voltage of the MEP was generated whenever meganetic flux generated in the outward direction. As a result of fatigue recovery, the median frequency (MF) of the magnetic acupuncture group were recovered faster than that of the non-stimulation group. However, the peak torques of both groups were not restored until after 20 minutes. Conclusions : We confirmed that the magnetic acupuncture system can lead to the MEP similar to manual acupuncture. Moreover, the MEP had a therapeutic effect on the musculoskeletal disorders.

금사목질진흙버섯 자실체 추출물의 in vivo 항암활성 및 급성, 아 급성 독성 시험 (In vivo Antitumor Activity and Acute, Subacute Toxicity of Keumsa (Phellinus linteus) Extracts)

  • 본 연구는 인공재배 상황버섯 자실체 추출물인 금사목질진흙버섯 자실체 추출물의 mouse sarcoma cells인 S-180 세포에 대한 정맥 투여 시 항암 효과와 급성독성 및 4주 아 급성 독성에 대한 보고이다. 금사목질진흙버섯 자실체 추출물의 항암효과는 250 mg/kg에서 대조군 대비 42.7%의 크기로 가장 높은 효과를 나타내었으며, 농도 의존적인 경향을 나타내었다. 급성 독성에서는 $LD_{50}$치가 632.84 mg/kg (♂)과 814.48 mg/kg (♀)로 나타났으며, 이자와 장기의 무게비가 증가하는 현상이 나타나, 영향이 있는 것으로 추측되었다. 4주 아 급성 독성 시험에서 $LD_{50}$치는 355.41 mg/kg (♂)과 383.53 mg/kg (♀)로 나타났으며, 특히 250 mg/kg 투여군에서는 간의 무게 비가 2배 정도 증가하는 현상과 황색 반점이 나타났다. 특히 125 mg/kg 이상 투여군에서는 점프 능력과 민첩성 등의 운동 능력이 현저히 증가되는 현상이 관찰되었으며, 이에 대한 정확한 메카니즘은 확인할 수 없었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 금사목질진흙버섯 자실체 추출물에 대한 표준물질 정제 과정을 통한 작용기전과 운동능력 향상에 대한 실험 등이 추가된다면 유효 농도에서 독성이 낮으면서도 암을 제어할 수 있는 새로운 천연물 신약의 후보 물질로 이용될 가능성이 있는 것으로 판단된다.

Nutritional Knowledge, Attitudes, and Food Practices among Competitive Athletes, Recreational Athletes and Non-Participants

  • The objective of tole study was to compare nutritional knowledge, attitudes and food practices of competitive athletes, recreational athletes and non-participants. All students enrolled at the University of Nebraska in an Introductory Nutrition course in which sports nutrition was stressed, were asked to participate in the study. The course was typical of many introductory nutrition courses ; about two thirds of the students were from the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and most of the students were encouraged to take this course by their advisers. The students were divided into three groups : 20 competitive athletes (mostly runners, swimmers, basketball players and football players for the University), 14 recreational athletes (who were involved in a planned exercise program at least 2 hours per week), and 19 non-participants. At the beginning of the semester, students completed a food frequency questionnaire, and a 24-hour food record based on the Food Guide Pyramid. A nutrition knowledge and attitude questionnaire was formulated specifically for this study, covering normal nutrition and sports nutrition. The results showed that consumption of foods from all Food Guide Pyramid food groups except the fats/oils/sweets group was not significantly different among the three student groups. Regarding the fats/oils/sweets group, competitive athletes consumed significantly more numbers of servings than recreational athletes, while the recreational athletes consumed significantly more than non-participants (p<0.01). The total mean scores from the nutrition attitude and knowledge questionnaire were not significantly different among the three student groups. However, combined athletes (competitive athletes and recreational athletes) obtained significantly higher scores on some of the nutrition attitude questions (p<0.05). The results of the study indicate that athletes, significantly lower scores on some of the nutrition knowledge questions (p<0.05). The results of the study indicate that athletes, whether competitive or recreational, had a very positive attitude regarding the effects of nutrition on their sports performance and health: however, these athletes did not appear to apply scientific principles of sports nutrition to their diet. In conclusion, advising athletes to simply increase or decrease their intakes of certain foods is too simplistic an approach for maintenance of good health and for better sporting performance. Athletes and non-athletes need continuous nutrition education to help with improving their competitive edge and food choices.

속도변화 보행 훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 심폐기능에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Speed-Change Gait Training on Cardiopulmonary Function of Stroke Patients)

  • 본 연구는 보행 훈련시 심박수의 변화에 따라 보행속도를 조절하여 뇌졸중 환자의 심폐기능의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상자는 만성 뇌졸중 환자 20명을 무작위로 실험군과 대조군으로 분류하여 연구를 진행하였다. 실험군은 심박수 측정기를 착용한 상태로 트레드밀에서 심박수의 변화에 따라 보행속도를 증가 또는 감소시키면서 보행훈련을 실시하였고, 대조군은 대상자의 주관적인 속도에 의해 보행훈련을 실시하였다. 보행훈련 사이에 10분 간격으로 1분씩 휴식시간을 부여했으며 주 3회씩 총 6주간 중재를 실시하였다. 대상자들의 중재이후의 변화를 살펴보기 위하여 폐활량(VC), 호기예비용적(ERV), 흡기예비용적(IRV) 노력성 폐활량(FVC), 1초간 노력성 호기량(FEV1), 최대 호기 속도(PEF)를 측정하여 심폐기능의 변화를 확인하였다. 연구결과 폐활량, 흡기예비용적, 호기예비용적에서 집단과 시기사이에서 상호작용을 나타내었으며 주효과인 집단 및 시기 간 유의한 차이도 나타났다(p<.05), 1초간 노력성 호기량, 노력성 폐활량, 최대 호기속도에서는 그룹과 시기사이에서 상호작용이 나타나지 않았다. 주 효과에서는 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나(p>.05) 시기 간에는 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.05). 연구결과 보행과정에서 심박수의 변화에 따라 속도를 변화시켜 훈련을 시행할 경우 심폐기능의 유의한 향상을 보인 것으로 보아 보행 훈련시 속도변화를 통해 훈련을 할 경우 심폐기능의 유의한 변화를 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

파킨슨병 환자에게 Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-BIG(LSVT-BIG) 프로그램의 적용이 운동기능과 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (Application of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-BIG(LSVT-BIG) Intervention to Improve Motor Functions and Quality of Life in People With Parkinson Disease)

  • 목적: 파킨슨병 환자를 위해 개발된 표준화된 운동프로그램과 작업기반의 활동으로 구성된 Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) BIG 치료 프로그램을 지역사회에 거주하는 파킨슨병 환자에게 제공한 후 파킨슨병 환자의 운동기능과 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 단일군 전후실험설계(one-group pretest and post test design)를 사용하였다. 치료 전 후에는 통합형 파킨슨병 평가척도(Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale-III: UPDRS-III), Time up and go(TUG), 파킨슨 질병 검사지(Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire-39: PDQ-39)을 사용하여 운동기능 및 삶의 질의 변화를 측정하였다. LSVT-BIG치료는 프로토콜에 의거하여 매일 1회 주4일 60분간 실시하여 대상자별로 총 16회기를 실시하였다. 결과분석은 그래프를 통한 시각적 분석과 치료 전 후 측정값의 변화를 비교하였다. 결과: 치료 전 후로 UPDRS, TUG에서 모든 대상자들의 수행능력이 향상되었다. 또한, PDQ-39의 감소로 치료 후 모든 대상자들의 삶의 질 또한 긍정적으로 향상되었다. 결론: 지역사회 내에서 거주하는 파킨슨병 환자에게 LSVT-BIG 치료의 적용은 파킨슨환자의 운동기능 증진 및 삶의 질 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다.
