Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze and to compare the difference and the change between dynamic balance exercise group and dynamic balance exercise with core program exercise group. Also, based on this data, to prescribe effective exercises for hemiplegic patients and the pubis in order to achieve more effective dynamic balance exercise rehabilitation and better dynamic balance exercise in the field of therapeutical exercise. Methods : Twenty subjects(Core program exercise plus Dynamic balance exercise group, CP: 10, Dynamic balance exercise group, NCP: 10) were chosen among hemiplegic patients. Measurements of dynamic balance were evaluated at initial presentation(pretest) and after 4, 8, 12 weeks'. Paired t-test and Repeated measured ANOVA was utilized to detect the mean difference between the groups. Results : Firstly, after 4 weeks' and 8 weeks' and 12 weeks' CP exercise and NCP exercise, there were all significant difference to increase dynamic balance (p<0.05). secondly, after 4 weeks' and 8 weeks' and 12 weeks' CP and NCP exercise, there was significant difference to increase dynamic balance more CP group than NCP group. Lastly, among 4 weeks' and 8 weeks' and 12 weeks' CP exercise, there was progressively significant difference to increase dynamic balance(p<0.05). Conclusions : This study showed that dynamic balance exercise with core program exercise is an effective treatment strategy for hemiplegic patients than dynamic balance exercise rehabilitation.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to find the effect of foot bath on blood pressure(BP) following treadmill exercise. Methode : Subject of study were forty healthy males without any cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and neurologic diseases. Following twenty minutes walking at a speed of 5m/s on the treadmill, ten twenty subjects in experimental group received foot bath, on the dominant lower limb while sitting in chair. Foot bath was applied to the level of the lateral and medial malleoli keeping the temperature of the paraffin bath at $40{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$. Twenty subjects in control group took a rest sitting in chair in a comfortable position. BP was measured in right brachial artery. BP was measured five times(before exercise, immediately after exercise, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and fifteen minutes after exercise). Results : The study showed that for diastolic blood pressure, there was no significant difference between the experimental and the control group. However, systolic blood pressure(SBP) increased significantly after exercise compared with SBP before exercise (p<.05). In addition, SBP in five minutes after exercise decreased significantly compared with SBP in immediately after exercise (p<.05). On the other hand, the control group had significant difference between SBP measured before exercise and SBP measured at the other measure time (p<.05). In five minutes after exercise, SBP in experimental group had significant difference with SBP in control group (p<.05). Similarly, in ten and fifteen minutes after exercise, SBP in experimental group had significantly difference with SBP in control group (p<.05). Conclusion : Consequently it was confirmed that when foot bath was applied, the increased BP induced by the exercise returned to normal range rapidly.

Purpose: This study was to investigate the effects of lumbar stabilization exercise and lower extremity strengthening program on pain, lower extremity muscle in patients with chronic low back pain. Method: The subject were randomly divided two groups. 15 people who were conducted lower extremity exercises and lumbar stabilization exercises called the combined exercise group and other(15 people) who were only conducted lower extremity exercise group. The assessment tools were the pain level and the led muscle power. Exercise was conducted for eight weeks. Result: Pain of the combined exercise group showed significant differences in the change in pain level(p<.05). The leg muscle power showed significant differences within group which hip flexor, extensor muscles and abductor muscles. there were significant differences within combined exercise group (p<.05). But the knee joint in each group showed a significant difference within group (p<.05). Conclusion: This study suggest that the lumbar stabilization exercises and lower extremity exercises showed more efficient results in the pain levels and leg muscles power than only the lower extremity exercise for patients with lumbar instability.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of dietary calcium supplementation and exercise on bone mineral density and bone mineral content of growing female rats. The exercise and control group were fed a diet containing 0.5% calcium and Ca supplementation group were fed a diet containing 1.0% calcium diet. The exercise group ran on a rodent treadmill (speed of 15m/min for 30 min) three days per week during the 3-week study period. Bone mineral density (BMD) and bone mineral content (BMC) of spine and femur were determined by using dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (FIXI-mus, GE Lunar Radiation Cooperation, Madison, WI, USA). The exercise group had significantly greater (6.25%) spine BMD compared to the nonexercise group and the exercise group had but not significantly greater spine BMC (7.1%) compared to nonexercisers. Femur BMD and BMC divided by the rats final body weight appears to have a higher BMD (7.5%) and BMC (4.5%) in the exercise group, which indicates that exercise had a positive influence on femur bone mineral density and bone mineral content. The supplementation of calcium did not significantly affect spine and femoral BMC and BMD for the 3 weeks experimental period. It can be concluded that when calcium intake meets the recommended, exercise is beneficial for acquisition of spine bone mineral density in young growing female rats. Purpose : This study was aimed at investgating the effect of McKenzie exercise on temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD) and body balance. Methods : Thirty subjects with TMJD were selected. They were randomly assigned to one of two groups (15 in each group) : namely the conservative treatment group and McKenzie exercise group. The conservative treatment group were treated physical therapy for 6 weeks (3 times a week). The McKenzie exercise group performed McKenzie exercise for 6 weeks (3 times a week). We measured mouth opening, pain, muscle activation and body balance before and after exercise by using the maximum mouth opening MMO), visual analog scale (VAS), electromyography and Biodex Balance System, respectively. Results : We found statistically significant differences in pain and mouth opening in the conservative treatment group and McKenzie exercise group before and after (p<.05). Conclusion : We confirmed the effect of McKenzie exercise on TMJD. Thus we thought these results could be used as basic data and reference for TMJD. But we need more study effect of McKenzie exercise on TMJD and body balance.
PURPOSE: This study was to investigate the effects of resistance exercise on serum inflammatory markers and CatSper 1-4 expression in testis of OLETF rats. METHODS: Male OLETF rats were divided into two groups; control group (n=12), resistance exercise group (n=12). The exercise group performed a total of 8 weeks of moderate intensity resistance exercise on a 1.35 m vertical ladder with weights secured to their tails. RESULTS: The results of this study was following; The exercise group showed a significant decreased in the inflammatory ($IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6, $TNF-{\alpha}$) levels as compared to the control group. But CRP was no significant difference between control and exercise groups. Also, CatSper 1 and 2 were significantly increased in the exercise group compared to the control group, whereas CatSper 3, 4 were no significant difference between both groups. CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that resistance exercise training can contribute to reduce pro-inflammatory responses in whole body and it affects male reproductive function by improve sperm quality and CatSper protein expression.
