신호등 교차로에서의 지체예측에 관한 연구 (A Model for the Estimation of Delay Signalized Intersections)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to construct a model to estimate the delay that vehicles arriving randomly will be experienced at an isolated singalized intersection. To do this the following objectives are set in this study: (i) An what distance a random arrival pattern occurs after a platoon of vehicles are dis-charged from the stop line; (ii) A model which estimates the average delay per through-vehicle with respect to the de-gree of saturation; and (iii) The relation between the stepped delay and average approach delay per vehicle. The following are the findings of this study: (i) A random arrival pattern on the first second and third lanes occur 300,400 and 300m downstream from stop line rdspectively. A random arrival pattern on lane group occurs 500m downstream from the stop line ; (ii) A model for the estimation of approach delay has been developed in such a way that up to x=0.7 the delay increases linearly and beyond 0.7 the delay increases rapidly in a form of second order polynomial due to high degree of saturation : and (iii) Approach delay equals approximately 1.21 times of stopped delay.

입력 시간지연 시스템의 한켈 연산자와 지연특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the delay-characteristics and hankel operators of input delay systems)

  • This paper studies the delay-characteristics using the singular values and vectors of Hankel operators for input delay systems. First, the computational method of Hankel singular values and their corresponding singular vectors are introduced, and then it is analytically provea that all the Hankel singular vlues have a monotone increasing properties as the length of delay time increases. Furthermore, through a simple numerical example, it is shown that the Hankel singular values are dependent only on the ratio of the time constant of a lumped parameter system to the length of delay , and in case that the time constant is relatively larger than the delay time, the lumped parameter characteristic has a great influence on the input delay systems.

The Delay in Confirming COVID-19 Cases Linked to a Religious Group in Korea

  • Objectives: As of March 3, 2020, the Shincheonji religious group accounted for the majority of Korean cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Nonetheless, the most likely cause of the broad spread of COVID-19 among members of the Shincheonji religious group remains largely unknown. Methods: We obtained data of laboratory-confirmed cases related to the Shincheonji religious group from press releases by Korean public health authorities and news reports. We measured the period from the date of illness onset to the date of COVID-19 confirmation. Results: We analysed data from 59 cases (median age, 30 years). The estimated median period between the date of symptom onset and the date of COVID-19 confirmation was 4 days (95% confidence interval, 1-12). Conclusions: There was a delay in COVID-19 confirmation from the date of illness onset among the cases linked to the Shincheonji religious group. This delay likely contributed to the occurrence of many cases of COVID-19 in the group.

Location Template Matching(LTM) 방법에 사용되는 유사성 척도들의 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on the Measures of Similarity for the Location Template Matching(LTM) Method)

  • The location template matching(LTM) method is a technique of identifying an impact location on a structure, and requires a certain measure of similarity between two time signals. In general, the correlation coefficient is widely used as the measure of similarity, while the group delay based method is recently proposed to improve the accuracy of the impact localization. Another possible measure is the frequency response assurance criterion(FRAC), though this has not been applied yet. In this paper, these three different measures of similarity are examined comparatively by using experimental data in order to understand the properties of these measures of similarity. The comparative study shows that the correlation coefficient and the FRAC give almost the same information while the group delay based method gives the shape oriented information that is best suitable for the location template matching method.

0.18-㎛ CMOS 공정을 이용한 6~18 GHz 8-비트 실시간 지연 회로 설계 (Design of a 6~18 GHz 8-Bit True Time Delay Using 0.18-㎛ CMOS)

  • 본 논문에서는 6~18 GHz 대역 8-비트 true time delay(TTD) 회로의 설계 및 측정결과에 대하여 기술하였다. 단위 지연 회로는 상대적으로 시간 지연 변화율이 일정한 m-유도 필터(m-derived filter)를 이용하였다. 설계한 8-비트 TTD는 2개의 single-pole double-throw(SPDT)와 7개의 double-pole double-throw(DPDT) 스위치로 구현하였으며, 인덕터를 이용하여 반사 특성을 개선하였다. 설계된 8-비트 TTD는 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 이용하여 제작하였다. 측정된 TTD 회로의 시간 가변 범위는 250 ps이고, 시간 지연 해상도는 약 1 ps이다. 6~18 GHz의 동작 주파수에서 RMS 시간 지연 오차는 11 ps 미만이며, 입출력 반사 손실은 10 dB 이상이다. 공급 전압은 1.8 V이며, 소비 전력은 0.0 mW이다. 칩 면적은 $2.36{\times}1.04mm^2$이다.

동기복조 W-CDMA 시스템의 다중 사용자 검출을 위한 반복 그룹단위 등지연 간섭제거(IGEIC) 알고리즘 성능해석 (Performance analysis of iterative groupwise equal-delay interference cancellation(IGEIC) for multiuser detection of coherent W-CDMA system)

  • 본 논문은 단위 셀 비동기 W-CBMA 시스템 역방향 링크의 다중경로 페이딩 채널에서 동기복조 방식의 다중 사용자 검출을 위한 반복 그룹단위 등지연 간섭제거 (IGEIC : iterative group-wise equal-delay interference cancellation) 알고리즘을 제안하고 성능을 해석하였다. IGEIC 알고리즘은 사용자를 그룹단위로 나누고, 그룹내에서 사용자 수만큼 반복해서 간섭을 제거한 다음, 다시 재확산시켜 다른 사용자 신호성분을 제거한다. IGEIC 알고리즘은 반복 그룹단위 등지연 직렬 간섭제거(IGESIC)와 반복 그룹단위 등지연 병렬 간섭제거(IGEPIC) 알고리즘으로 나누어 제안하였다. 확산부호의 완벽한 상관조건에서 그룹내 사용자 수만큼 간섭제거 후의 IGESIC와 IGEPIC 알고리즘 성능은 동일하며, 그룹내 사용자 수만큼의 간섭제거 직전의 성능은 IGEPIC 알고리즘이 IGESIC 알고리즘보다 우수하다. 또한 두 가지 제안 알고리즘 성능은 직렬 간섭제거 알고리즘 성능보다 3dB 이상 우수한 결과를 얻었다.

평면 구조의 마이너스 군지연 회로 설계 (A Planar Implementation of a Negative Group Delay Circuit)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안된 일반적인 집중 소자 마이너스 군지연 회로가 설계시 사용 가능한 소자 값이 제한되어 있다는 점에 착안하여 마이너스 군지연 회로(Negative Group Delay Circuit: NGDC)를 평면 구조로 설계할 수 있는 방법에 관하여 제안한다. 몇 가지 형태의 집중 소자 회로를 해석하여 마이너스 군지연 특성을 얻을 수 있는 조건을 분석하고, 이를 수식화하여 설계에 이용할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 전송 선로 공진기의 개념을 도입하여 집중 소자를 분산 소자로 변환할 수 있도록 하였다. 설계 예시로써, 군지연 시간이 -8 ns인 집중 소자 및 평면 구조의 1단 NGDC를 설계하여 비교하였다. 상용 주파수 대역 내에서 엄격한 평탄도 요구 조건을 만족시키는 마이너스 군지연 응답을 얻기 위하여, WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) 하향 대역에서 총군지연 시간이 -5.6 ns, 삽입 손실이 -0.2 dB, 대역폭이 30 MHz(2.125~2.155 GHz)이며, 해당 대역 내에서 삽입 손실 평탄도가 0.1 dB, 군지연 평탄도가 0.5 ns 이내인 평면 구조 2단 NGDC를 제작하였다. 제안하는 NGDC의 유용성을 검토하기 위하여 간단한 신호 상쇄 루프에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며, 뛰어난 신호 상쇄 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

족관절 골절 수술에서의 유착방지제(Guardix®)의 효과 연구 (Clinical Application and Effects of Sodium Hyaluronate-Carboxymethylcellulose (Guardix®) in Surgery of Ankle Fractures)

  • Purpose: Reducing tenderness or pain on the ankle joint and improving the range of motion are thought to be possible using hyaluronate-based anti-adhesive agents. On the other hand, there are more aspects to be studied regarding the incidence of complications, such as resting pain, tenderness, and stiffness, after surgery. Therefore, the aim of this study was to prove the effectiveness of the agents after ankle fracture surgery. Materials and Methods: Patients, who underwent open reduction and internal fixation surgery due to ankle joint fractures from June 2015 to May 2016, were studied prospectively. Thirty patients of them received a $Guardix^{(R)}$ injection during their surgeries and were included in the injection group. The other 30 patients were included in the control group. Postoperatively, tenderness on the scar, a delay in wound healing, and the active range of motion were evaluated at 2, 6, and 12 weeks after surgery. Results: A significant difference in tenderness on the scar was observed 2 weeks after surgery. On the other hand, there was no significant difference at 6 and 12 weeks after the surgery. The agent-using group showed a 6.7% delay in wound healing and a 93.3% nondelaying. In the non-using group, the delay was 63.3%, while non-delay was 36.7% (p<0.001). The group that underwent $Guardix^{(R)}$ usage showed an effective result in the visual analogue scale, which was statistically significant (p<0.001). The result at 6 and 12 weeks after surgery showed a significant difference. Conclusion: Improvement was observed in the patients who underwent a $Guardix^{(R)}$ injection, regarding the range of motion, visual analog scale, and healing of the wound postoperatively.
