대용량 터빈발전기에서 접지과전압 계전기의 동작 특성 (Dynamic Property of Ground Overvoltage Relay in Large Turbine Generator)

  • This paper deals with the dynamic property of ground overvoltage relay in large turbine generator. Relay operation is based on detecting the fundamental voltages originating from the generator. Calculations of fault voltage and current are reviewed for the neutral ground resistance. The frequency, ampitude and waveform of individual harmonics were measured using power quality analyzer and memory hi-corder at the secondary side of ground potential transformer. The ac and dc high-potential tests were applied to evaluate the condition of generator, main and auxiliary transformer, isolated phase bus, potential transformer, surge capacitor and arrester.

  • This paper describes touch and step voltage in the reinforced concrete and steel poles. Ground surface potential rises were measured as a function of the separation between pole and ground rod. Touch and step voltage are calculated on the basis of the distribution of ground surface potential rises. As a result, touch and step voltages strongly depend on the position of installation of ground rod.

전위강하법에 의한 접지저항측정에 미치는 전류보조전극의 영향 (Effects of the Current Probe on Ground Resistance Measurements Using Fall-of-Potential Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 찬우$\mid$강하법에 의한 접지저항 및 대지첸위 분표의 측캠시 전휴보조전극의 영향에 대하여 기술하였으며, 측정시 오치를 최소화하는 기법을 제안하였다. 전위강해법은 전위와 천류의 측정에 이론적인 비1깅을 두고 있으며, 측정오차는 주로 측정시 설치하는 보조전극의 위치와 자체저항에 기인한다. 피측정 접지전극의 접지저항은 전위강하법에서 전위보조전극을 피측정 접지전극과 전류보조전극이 이루는 일직선상에 위치시킬 때 61.8[%]법칙을 적용하여 측정한다. 하지만 건물이나 포장도로, 구조물 등이 산재해 있는 도심의 경우에는 현장에서 피측정 접지전극과 전류보조전극 사이에 적결한 이격거리 확보가 불가능하거냐 전류보조전극의 접지저행값이 피측정 챔 지전극에 비하여 큰 값을 가지는 경우가 있다. 파측정 접지천극과 전류보조전극을 충분히 이격시키지 않거나 전류류보조전극의 접지저항값이 피측청 접지전극의 접지저항보다 비정상척으로 큰 경우 접지저항의 측정은 오차를 수반하게 되며, 측정된 접지저항값은 오차즐 보정해 주어야 한다. 본 연구애서 측정대상 전극은 길이 2.4[m]의 봉형 접지전극으호 하였으며, 전류보조전극의 영향을 고려할 때 피측정 접지전극과 전류보조전극의 적정한 이격거리는 피측정 접치전극 길이의 5배 이상으로 하여야 전위보조전극을 사설하기가 용이하며 측정정확도의 확보에 유리하다. 또한 전류보존전극의 접지저항값이 피측정 접지전극의 접지저항값 약 36.5배 이하에서는 거의 오차를 발생시키지 않는다.

Effective Impulse Impedances of Deeply Driven Grounding Electrodes

  • This paper presents the characteristics of transient and effective impulse impedances for deeply driven grounding electrodes used in soil with high resistivity or in downtown areas. The laboratory test associated with the time domain performance of grounding piles subjected to a lightning stroke current has been carried out using an actual-sized model grounding system. The ground impedances of the deeply driven ground rods and grounding pile under impulse currents showed inductive characteristics, and the effective impulse ground impedance owing to the inductive component is higher than the power frequency ground impedance. Both power frequency ground impedance and effective impulse ground impedance decrease upon increasing the length of the model grounding electrodes. Furthermore, the effective impulse ground impedances of the deeply driven grounding electrodes are significantly amplified in impulse currents with a rapid rise time. The reduction of the power frequency ground impedance is decisive to improve the impulse impedance characteristics of grounding systems.

  • This paper presents the surface potential rise distribution near grounding electrodes produced by ground fault currents. The small-scale model with the foundation pedestal in hemispherical tank was used to simulate the ground fault condition of the electrical installations for street lamps. When entering the fault current through the test ground electrode, surface potential rise, potential gradient, touch and step voltages for different grounding electrode shapes were measured, and the results obtained were discussed.

  • DC fraction system can damage human and other facilities due to the rising of rail potential. Therefore the earth fault detection relay protects system using rail potential induced in train operation and ground fault. However the conventional protection system cannot operate due to the fault resistance and might operate unwanted voltage rising due to the other substation ground fault. So this paper models DC traction system using PSCAD/EMTDC and simulates the rail potential rising. We can estimate the rail potential rising in DC traction system through the various simulation.

  • This paper presents a comparison of experimental value by hemispherical grounding simulation system and calculated value by CDEGS program for ground potential rise of structure. When a test current flowed through structure grounding electrodes, ground potential rise was measured and analyzed for types of structure using the hemispherical grounding simulation system in real time, and was computed by means of CDEGS program. The model structures were designed and fabricated with two types on a scale of one-one hundred sixty. When the experimental data were compared with the theoretical values, the similar profile was shown. Therefore, the confidence of measurement was obtained. The distributions of ground surface potential are dependent on the resistivity and absorption percentage in concrete attached to structure.

IEEE Std. 80 for the substation construction safety equipment on the ground securing the ground electrode and the mesh around the boundary potential distribution in terms of risk analysis by the touch voltage and the reference was to clean up the definition and the basic steps of the voltage of the voltage limits the risk of peripheral grounding electrode Suppression by the simulator through a new secure from dangerous voltage design techniques were presented.

  • Ground movements are inevitably caused by tunnel construction in soft ground. In the design and construction of tunnels in urban areas, the potential effects of buried pipelines by ground movements are one of the important design cosiderations. Generally, the most common modes of failure of buried pipelines due to ground movements are tensile fracture of main pipelines, rotation angle and pull-out displacement at joints. In the parametric study, a wide range of conditions were considered, including tunnel diameter(D), tunnel depth(Z$\sub$0/), volume loss(V$\sub$ι/) and inflection point(i). Based on this results, design charts, which are applicable to assess potential damage of buried pipelines associated ground movements due to tunnelling, are developed.

  • The construction of bored tunnels in soft ground inevitably causes ground movements. In the urban environment these may be of particular significance, because of their influence on buildings, other tunnels and services. The prediction of ground movements and the assessment of the potential effects on the structures is therefore an essential aspect of planning, design and construction of a tunnelling project in the urban environment. In this study, to minimize the effect of tunnelling-Induced ground movements on the adjacent structures, a system for tile settlement risk management was developed. The GIS based risk assessment system for adjacent structures developed in this study consists of several modules such as building information module, settlement evaluation module, potential risk assessment module for adjacent structures, and analysis module for monitoring data. This system focuses on controlling and managing construction processes that may lead to settlement In the surrounding buildings and can contribute to producing the optimum technical and economic design.
