Objective : This study was conducted with an aim to use it as basic data for developing assistive devices, such as insoles that can suppress the progress of degenerative diseases and strategies, to improve early degenerative diseases by assessing walking characteristics of farm workers who were classified as KL-grade in the perspective of motor mechanics. Method : 38 male and female adults who complained of knee joint pain for more than six months were selected, and they were classified according to KL-grade. KL-grade was assessed by an orthopaedic specialist and an occupational environment health specialist. Filming equipment (FX-1, CASIO, Japan) and a ground reaction force system (AMTI OR6, AMTI, USA) were used to identify ground reaction force characteristics, and WOMAC was used for a pain rating scale. Results : There was a difference between the right and left side (axis-X) according to KL-grade, and when the grade was higher, the internal ground reaction force was also higher. Changes in COP were not affected by KL-grade of the knee joint, but it tended to increase as the grade increased. There were differences in the time required for limb support while walking according to the grades, and when the grade was higher, walking was more inefficient with long braking force and short propulsion forces. Also, pain rating scale, the right and left side, and COP changes while in support phase were related. Conclusion : There was a partial, statically significant difference in KL-grade and ground reaction force occurring during the support phase, and there were differences in ground reaction forces according to the grades of degenerative arthritis in the knee joint, indicating that this study is worthy as basic data for future studies.
Due to the rapid development of cities, densities and heights of urban structures are increased, and much larger and more underground spaces are being developed accordingly. Increasing development of underground spaces has induced more ground sinks and underground cavities. Therefore, safety of people is threatened by potential ground collapses and possible accidents, which may result from underground cavity. To actively respond against potential danger of ground sink, evaluation of existing cavity grade and development of recovery procedure are important. There exists the ground sinking management grade system of expressway developed as local standards in Japan. Recently, ground sinking management grade system of Seoul was developed with consideration of road and asphalt conditions. In this study, 209 underground cavities of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ area were explored and their cavity shapes and grades were evaluated based on both ground sinking management grade systems of Japan and Seoul. Comparison is made between cavity grades evaluated based on both grading systems from Japan and Seoul. As a result of comparative analysis, the conservatively-estimated cavity grades requiring emergency restoration based on the Japanese management grade system of expressway result from neglection of layer thickness of surface pavement, considering only width and cover depth of a cavity.
Several studies have been conducted to analyze the risk of ground subsidence occurring in urban areas. Recently, the correlation between the density of underground utilities (i.e., the quantity of buried utilities in the analysis area) and the recorded ground subsidence has been explored to analyze such risk through. Choi et al. (2021) proposed an algorithm to optimize the correlation between the ground subsidence and normalized linear density of underground pipelines. In this study, the optimization algorithm was modified for analysis based on the risk grade. The analysis results using the modified optimization algorithm were compared with the correlation analysis results between the density of underground utilities and recorded ground subsidence presented by Choi et al. (2021). Compared with Choi et al. (2021), three analysis results showed equal or higher accuracy in the correlation analysis with recorded ground subsidence according to risk grade. In particular, for R100, it was divided into five grades and compared with the ratio of the recorded ground subsidence that occurred in grades 4 or higher. As a result, Choi et al. (2021) showed that 86% of recorded ground subsidence occurred in grades 4 or higher, whereas this study showed 93%. It was confirmed that the accuracy of the modified optimization algorithm was improved. The modified optimization algorithm can be applied to develop a ground subsidence risk map for each grade in an urban area, which can be used as basic data for decision-making for underground utility maintenance.
Ground Subsidence has been continuously occurring in densely populated downtown. The main cause of ground subsidence is the damaged underground facility like sewer. Currently, ground subsidence is being dealt with by discovering cavities in ground using GPR. However, this consumes large amount of manpower and cost, so it is necessary to predict hazardous area for efficient operation of GPR. In this study, ◯◯city is divided into 500 m×500 m grids. Then, data set was constructed using the characteristics of the underground facility and ground subsidence in grids. Data set used to machine learning model for ground subsidence risk grade prediction. The purposed model would be used to present a ground subsidence risk map of target area.
To construct a tunnel to the bottom of the existing tunnels by the behavior of the tunnel to examine the scope and effect, Schubert (1995) Influence Line and Trend Line to the proposed concept was introduced. Crossing angle of the existing tunnels and new tunnels 15, 30, 60, and 90 were set, the lower ground after 3-grade fixed above the ground was graded a 3-grade and 5-grade. Interpreted as a result of these conditions, the tunnel diameter 10m (D) If the crossing angle of around 90 degrees, 60 degrees, 30 degrees or less, each 3.0D, 3.5D, 4.0D, respectively, in the range of the effect could be estimated.

An unmanned ground vehicle can perform its mission automatically without human control in unknown environment. To move up to a destination in various surrounding situation, navigational information is indispensible. In order to be adopted for an unmanned vehicle, the navigation box is small, light weight and low power consumption. This paper suggests navigation system using a low grade MEMS IMU for supplying position, velocity, and attitude of an unmanned ground vehicle. This system consists of low cost and light weight MEMS sensors and a GPS receiver to meet unmanned vehicle requirements. The sensors are basically integrated by loosely coupled method using Kalman filter and internal algorithms are divided into initial alignment, sensor error compensation, and complex navigation algorithm. The performance of the designed navigation system has been analyzed by real time field test and compared to commercial tactical grade GPS/INS system.

In this study, an experimental study was carried out with variables of the shape of the ground soil-binder in order to find out whether the shear wave velocity and the ground grade were improved by the ground improvement. In this study, the shear wave velocity was measured using the crosshole method with variables of the shape of the ground soil-binder. In addition, the prediction formula of the shear wave velocity for suitability of N-Values for the domestic soil conditions are proposed using the result value of this study and the existing results of shear wave velocity. As a result, the shear wave velocity of the ground has increased. In addition, the prediction formula proposed in this study reasonably issued the existing experimental results regardless of the stratum conditions.

Several studies have been conducted to analyze, predict, and prevent the risk of ground subsidence occurring in urban areas. Nevertheless, there is insufficient research effort on risk analysis that utilizes the correlation between the density of underground structures (i.e., the spatial quantity of buried objects installed in the ground around the interested area) and the occurrence of ground subsidence. In this paper, a study was conducted to analyze the line density of underground structures using GIS-based spatial information data, and to link this with the recorded ground subsidences. An optimization algorithm was developed to maximize the correlation between the line density of 29 recorded ground subsidences and 6 types of underground structures that occurred between 2010 and 2015 for the analysis area. The concept of normalized line density was also proposed for the analysis. The normalized line density of the analysis area was divided into five grades (Grade 1: lowest, Grade 5: highest). When the optimization algorithm was applied, the case where the normalized line density was Grade 4 or higher at the location of the recorded ground subsidences was about > 80%. It is thought that the density analysis result of underground facilities can be applied to the ground subsidence risk analysis by using the proposed optimization algorithm.
Recent technological advance in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology offers new opportunities for assessing crop situation using UAV imagery. The objective of this study was to assess if reflectance and NDVI derived from consumer-grade cameras mounted on UAVs are useful for crop condition monitoring. This study was conducted using a fixed-wing UAV(Ebee) with Cannon S110 camera from March 2015 to March 2016 in the experiment field of National Institute of Agricultural Sciences. Results were compared with ground-based recordings obtained from consumer-grade cameras and ground multi-spectral sensors. The relationship between raw digital numbers (DNs) of UAV images and measured calibration tarp reflectance was quadratic. Surface (lawn grass, stairs, and soybean cultivation area) reflectance obtained from UAV images was not similar to reflectance measured by ground-based sensors. But NDVI based on UAV imagery was similar to NDVI calculated by ground-based sensors.
A study on the dry beneficiation of sericite occurring in the Daehyun Mine of the Republic of Korea region as performed by applying selective grinding and air classification techniques. Quartz and sericite occurred in the raw ore as major components. The results of liberation using a ball mill and an impact mill showed that the contents of $R_2O$ were increased while $SiO_2$ was decreased in proportion to decreasing particle size. According to the XRD, XRF analysis and the EDS of SEM analysis, the ball mill gave a better grade product in $R_2O$ content than the impact mill when the particle size was the same. When the raw ore was ground by the impact mill with arotor speed 57.6 m/sec and then followed by 15,000rpm classification using an air classifier, the chemical composition of the over flowed product was 49.65wt% $SiO_2$, 32.15wt% $Al_2O_3$, 0.13wt% $Fe_2O_3$, 10.37wt% $K_2O$, and 0.14wt% $Na_2O$. This result indicates that the $R_2O$ contents were increased by 49.5% compared to that of the raw ore. From these results described above, it is suggested that hard mineral such as Quartz little ground by selective grinding using impact mill whereas soft mineral such as sericite easily ground to small size. As a result of that hard minerals can be easily removed from the finely ground sericite by air classification and the $R_2O$ grade of thus obtained concentrate was improved to higher than 10wt% which can be used for ceramics raw materials.
