병렬 연결형 전력 컨버터의 부하 균등제어 방법 (A Load Balancing Control Method For Parallel Connected Power Converter)

  • 대용량 전력 컨버터 시스템의 경우 전력 컨버터의 출력을 공통으로 연결하여 병렬로 전력을 공급한다. 그런데 이러한 병렬 연결형 전력 컨버터 시스템에서 별도의 부하 균등 제어방법을 사용하지 않을 경우 부하가 컨버터에 균등하게 분배되지 않기 때문에 많은 부하를 감당하는 컨버터의 경우 수명이 저하와 고장 또한 전체 시스템의 효율을 감소 시킨다. 때문에 보통의 병렬 연결 시스템의 경우 패시브한 방법으로 출력에 저항을 연결하여 저항 값을 조정하는 방법과 엑티브한 방법으로 마스터와 슬레이브를 구별하여 마스터가 출력 전류를 균등하게 보장하는 방법이 있다. 그러나 패시브한 방법의 경우 전력손실이 발생하고 엑티브한 방법의 경우 마스터와 슬레이브를 구별하여 생산하고 또한 마스터 고장의 경우 운영할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전압센서의 게인을 기준 전압센서 값에 실시간으로 보정함으로써 적은 손실과 별도의 마스터 슬레이브의 구별없는 방법을 제안한다.

75kW 용융탄산염 연로전지[MCFC] 스택 운전 결과 (The Operating Results of the 75kW MCFC Stack)

  • A 75kW MCFC stack with the reactive area of 9,600cm$^2$ has been operated and validated in Boryeong thermal power plant. The 75kW MCFC stack was installed at the end of November 28, 2008 and started initial operation on December 23, 2008 after pretreated for about 20 days. At initial load operation, the stack showed the Open Circuit Voltage of 137V, which approaches the theoretical value. At the early stage of rated power operation, the stack displayed the voltage of 104V at the current of 754A and reached the maximum generating power of 78.5kW DC. This stack has been operated for 2,890 hours until April, 2009. In addition, the operation time of rated power records 1890 hours. This Operating result is scheduled to be reflected the design of l25kW stack.

  • Both an optimal design of the engine operating strategy and fuel economy prediction technique for a HEV under the vehicle driving condition are very crucial for the development of vehicle fuel economy performance. Thus, in this study, engine operating characteristics of PRIUS III were analyzed with vehicle running conditions and the correlations between vehicle tractive power and fuel consumption were introduced. As a result, fuel economy performance of PRIUS III with various test modes were predicted and verified. Errors of predicted fuel economy were between -5% and -1%.

  • In this study, we analyzed the correlation between mechanical and electrical properties of low-temperature conductive film (LT-CF) bonded silicon solar cells by a quadrant analysis (horizontal axis (peeling strength), vertical axis (power loss)). We found that a series of points with various bonding parameters such as bonding temperature, pressure and time were distributed in the different three regimes; weak regime (Q2: weak bonding strength and high power loss), moderate regime (Q4 : strong bonding strength and low power loss) and hard regime (Q3 : weak bonding strength and low power loss). Using this analogous technique, it was possible to fabricate the LT-CF bonded silicon solar cells with the various conditions displayed in Q3 of the quadrant plots, possessing the peeling strength of ~ 1N/mm and power loss of 2~3%.

  • Hydrogen is considered a key energy source to achieve carbon neutrality through the global goal of 'Net Zero'. Due to limitations in domestic green hydrogen production, Korean companies are interested in importing green hydrogen produced overseas. Because Australia and the Middle East possess high-quality renewable energy resources, they are attracting attention as suitable regions for producing green hydrogen using renewable energy. The cost of constructing and operating a green ammonia plant varies depending on the region. In this study, an economic feasibility comparison of green ammonia plant construction in Australia and the Middle East is conducted. Through this, it is expected to contribute to the economic analysis and feasibility analysis of the project to import hydrogen in the form of green ammonia into Korea.

  • A hydrogen cooling method is used in a power generator for removing the unnecessary heat due to the windage loss of a rotor and the joule heat of a stator. A MEA (Membrane Electrolyte Assembly) hydrogen generator has been developed and applied as a hydrogen supplying system for the cooling of a 350MW power generator. As a field application result, the average potential of eleven cells and the voltage efficiency were measured 2.26V/cell and 65.4% (Higher Heating Value) respectively at the hydrogen pressure of 6 Bar, the hydrogen flow rate of 9.1L/min, and the current of 150A.

그린수소 기반 섹터 커플링 통한 재생에너지 출력제한 경감효과 연구 (Study on Reduction of Curtailment of Renewable Generation based on Green Hydrogen Sector Coupling)

  • The Korean government announced the "1st Basic Plan for the Transition to Hydrogen Economy" in 2021 and declared the establishment of a hydrogen industry ecosystem by 2040. To build a low-carbon power system, resources that can efficiently accommodate renewable energy are required, and green hydrogen is considered a potential solution. This study analyzed the economic feasibility of green hydrogen-based sector coupling to reduce curtailment of renewable generation in the Jeju power system by 2025 under the scenario of with or without HVDC#3. The result showed that HVDC#3 significantly reduced the frequency of curtailment from 16.1% to 3.0%. In addition, green hydrogen-based sector coupling was an economically feasible option as result showed an IRR of 4.86% when HVDC#3 was connected and 11.45% when it was not under the condition of achieving 50% curtailment reduction. This study shows that the higher the level of renewable energy deployment, the more delayed the HVDC connection between Jeju and the main land, and the lower the SMP, the more economically feasible the green hydrogen-based sector coupling is. Furthermore, this study suggests that the policy goal of completely reducing curtailment is not economically efficient.

  • 자동검침 데이터를 이용하여 고객의 가상 부하패턴을 생성하고 회선 및 구간의 부하를 분석하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 연구된 산업분류 별 평균 부하패턴을 이용하는 방법과 고객의 부하 형태 인덱스를 이용한 방법의 문제점을 살펴보고, 이를 개선하기 위한 방법으로 고객의 속성정보를 이용하여 고객을 분류하는 방법을 제안하였다.

This paper describes a brief outline of typical recent research results obtained in the author's laboratory on electrical and optical properties of dielectric materials, done aiming at contributing to green power technology.

  • 국내 석탄화력발전소의 아역청탄과 역청탄의 혼소는 일반화되어 있으며 아역청탄의 비율이 무게 기준으로 50%가 넘는 경우도 있다. 저급탄인 아역청탄의 혼소 비율이 높아짐에 따라 연소 부산물인 비회에서 미연물질이 다량 발생하고 있으며 이는 콘크리트 혼화제로서의 비회 재활용을 가로막는 중요한 인자로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아역청탄 혼소율이 높은 국내 500MW 표준 석탄화력발전소에서 미연물질이 포함된 비회를 입수하여 이에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 이러한 미연물질은 석탄의 열분해 생성물인 검댕(soot)인 것으로 나타났으며 실제 석탄화력발전소에서 사용하고 있는 석탄과 혼탄의 성상 데이터와 CPD모델을 사용하여 혼탄별 검댕(soot)의 발생가능성을 분석하였다.
