  • In the layered medium, the Sommerfeld integral must be evaluated to calculate a space domain Green's function. The real axis integration method provides stable and accurate results over wide ranges of the observation distance and the singnal frequency. But this method has the in efficiency of approximation when the field point z is changed. Also, as the amplitude of z increases, the change of the spectral domain function is more rapidly. Therefore, the approximation is difficult when z becomes larger. In this paper, we propose a method to calculate an accurate closed-form Green's function for microstrip structure by using the closed-loop integration path.

  • Environment-friendly design becomes one of the main issues of the contemporary design. It has been developed with the advent of the organic view of the wend. It started as the environment-protective orientation and then enlarged its boundary including the designs which aims to revive the organic relationship between human and nature. Recent design approach in environment design emphasizes to be 'synchronized with the nature' and its basic attitude is the revival of the right relationship between man and nature. It also can be described as the design for Green Amenity. This paper researches on the concepts, types and the roles of the environmentally-friendly design. There are two basic concepts : one is environment-protective attitude and the other is the attitude which emphasizes the function of Green Amenity. This paper focuses on the latter approach. Through the analysis of the necessity and the function of the environmentally-friendly design, it aims to prove the fact that valuable human life need the design which connects human life aye with natural environment.

  • In order to promote the growth of the trees, it is the most important to fertilize efficiently. The organic nutrient "Green-one" which list public notification number 08-organic-3-112" was registered in Rural Development Administration. The "Green-one" is the environment friendly organic nutrient with new concept which is used in planting and maintenance of the trees. The "Green-one" makes the tree grow actively. Also it has a function of the anti germ and sustainable fertilizer effect. In conclusion, "Green-one" promoted the growth of P. thunbergii excellently. Expecially the growth of the root increased. The concentration of "Green-one" dilution was more better 100 times than 300 times in trees grow. This research can apply with the test of fertilizer efficiency in landscape trees.

  • In this paper, using elementary calculus only, we give a simple proof that Green function estimates imply the sharp two-sided pointwise estimates for Poisson kernels for subordinate Brownian motions. In particular, by combining the recent result of Kim and Mimica [5], our result provides the sharp two-sided estimates for Poisson kernels for a large class of subordinate Brownian motions including geometric stable processes.

  • In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a singular system of nonlinear fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions. We obtain existence and uniqueness results of solutions by using the properties of the Green's function, a nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type, Guo-Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem in a cone. Some examples are included to show the applicability of our results.

  • By means of Green function and fixed point theorem related with cone theoretic method we show that there exist multiple nonnegative solutions of a Dirichlet problem $$\array{-[p(t)x^{\prime}(t)]^{\prime}={\lambda}q(t)f(x(t)),\;t{\in}I=[0,\;T]\\x(0)=0=x(T)}$$, and a mixed problem $$\array{-[p(t)x^{\prime}(t)]^{\prime}={\mu}q(t)f(x(t)),\;t{\in}I=[0,\;T]\\x^{\prime}(0)=0=x(T)}$$, where ${\lambda}$ and ${\mu}$ are positive parameters.

  • In this paper, we consider a dynamic shape control problem with an example of controlling a flexible beam shape. Mathematical formulations are obtained by employing the Green's function approach. Necessary conditions for optimality are derived by considering the quadratic performance criteria. Numerical results for both of the dynamic and the static cases are obtained and compared.

  • For GPR applications, accurate analysis of the scatterered field is necessary to identify the unknown target. Dyadic Green's Function of the multilayered medium is developed and applied to analyse of underground conduting object. We used method of moment(MOM) with dyadic Green's function, and Discrete Complex Image Method(DCIM).

  • Let a p-component vector y have a p-variate normal distribution $N(b\theta, \Sigma), \Sigma$ unknown, b specified, then for testing $\theta = 0$ against general $\theta$, Khatri and Rao (1987) derive a certain t test and obtain its power function. This paper presents a direct derivation of this power function in terms of the original variates unlike Khatri and Rao (1987) who resort to the canonical transformations of the original variates and the conditional distributions.

  • Purpose: Drying characteristics of the sliced carrot and green pumpkin were investigated by using the waste heat dryer. Methods: The effects of drying temperature ($T$) and slice thickness affecting drying time were analyzed. Mathematical models for the drying curves were determined with statistical analysis of drying data. Effective diffusivity was determined for the slices of carrot and green pumpkin under various drying conditions. Results: Drying time was reduced at the drying conditions of thinner slice and higher drying temperature. Moisture ratio ($MR$) according to drying time ($t$) was well presented as an exponential function at all of drying conditions for the slices of carrot and green pumpkin with the determination coefficient ($r^2$) of >0.99. The values of effective diffusivity ($D_{ff}$) of the slices for carrot and green pumpkin were increased with increasing the drying temperature. The relationship between Ln($D_{ff}$) and $1/T$ was linear with the determination coefficient ($r^2$) of >0.97. Conclusions: Drying model was well established as an exponential function at all of drying conditions for drying samples.
