  • Kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) and graph searches show that proton conduction limiting barriers and trajectories in $BaZr_{0.875}Y_{0.125}O_3$ are affected by the presence of other protons. At 1000 K, KMC limiting conduction barriers increase from 0.39 eV to 0.45 eV as the proton number is increased. The proton-proton radial distribution begins to rise at $2{\AA}$ and peaks at $4{\AA}$, which is half the distance expected, based on the proton concentration. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations find proton/proton distances of 2.60 and $2.16{\AA}$ in the lowest energy two-proton configurations. A simple average of the limiting barriers for 7-10 step periodic long range paths found via graph theory at 1100 K shows an increase in activation barrier from 0.32 eV to 0.37 eV when a proton is added. Both KMC and graph theory show that protons can affect each other's pathways and raise the overall conduction barriers.

  • This paper propose the design method of the constructing the digital logic systems over galois fields using by the galois field decision diagram(GFDD) that is based on the graph theory. The proposed design method is as following. First of all, we discuss the mathematical properties of the galois fields and the basic properties of the graph theory. After we discuss the operational domain and the functional domain, we obtain the transformation matrixes, $\psi$GF(P)(1) and $\xi$GF(P)(1), in the case of one variable, that easily manipulate the relationship between two domains. And we extend above transformation matrixes to n-variable case, we obtain $\psi$GF(P)(1) and $\xi$GF(P)(1). We discuss the Reed-Muller expansion in order to obtain the digital switching functions of the P-valued single variable. And for the purpose of the extend above Reed-Muller expansion to more two variables, we describe the Kronecker product arithmetic operation.

Abstract In this paper, we investigate recursive circulant G(2^m , 2^k ) from the graph theory point of view and present topological properties of G(2^m , 2^k ) concerned with vertex-disjoint cycles and graph invariants. Recursive circulant is an interconnection structure for multicomputer networks proposed in 1 . A necessary and sufficient condition for recursive circulant {{{{G(2^m , 2^k ) to have a cycle of lengthl` is derived. Under the condition, we show that G(2^m , 2^k ) has the maximum possible number of vertex-disjoint cycles of length l`. We analyze graph invariants on vertex and edge coloring, maximum clique, independent set and vertex cover.

  • In a cellular mobile communication control system, assignment channel for a call in a cell so as to achieve high spectral efficience is an important problem within limited frequence bandwidth. The spectral efficiency is related to the coloring problem of graph theory in a cellular mobile communication control system. In this paper, we propose channel offset scheme using a graph theory of cellular mobile communication control system and formulate chromatic bandwidth of channel offset system which is related graph coloring problem. From formulated channel assignment problem, we investgate an optimal channel offset scheme of more efficent frequence spectrum and cell design according to channel constitution and give and upper and lower bound for overall srectral bandwidth.

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the universal multiple processing element unit(UMPEU) by De Bruijn Graph. The second method is as following. First, we propose transformation operators in order to construct the De Bruijn UMPEU using properties of graph. Second, we construct the transformation table of De Bruijn graph using above transformation operators. Finally we construct the De Bruijn graph using transformation table. The proposed UMPEU be able to construct the De Bruijn graph for any prime number and integer value of finite fields. Also the UMPEU is applied to fault-tolerant computing system, pipeline class. parallel processing network, switching function and its circuits.

  • In this Paper, we investigate conditions for proper interval graphs to have k-disjoint path covers of three types each: one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many. It was proved that for $k{\geq}2$, a proper interval graph is one-to-one k-disjoint path coverable if and only if the graph is k-connected, and is one-to-many k-disjoint path coverable if and only if the graph is k+1-connected. For $k{\geq}3$, a Proper interval graph is (paired) many-to-many k-disjoint path coverable if and only if the graph is 2k-1-connected.

  • Graphs have provided a powerful methodology to solve a lot of real-world problems, and therefore there have been many proposals on the graph representations and algorithms. But, because most of them considered only memory-based graphs, there are still difficulties to apply them to large-scale problems. To cope with the difficulties, this paper proposes a graph representation and graph algorithms based on the well-developed relational database theory. Graphs are represented in the form of relations which can be visualized as relational tables. Each vertex and edge of a graph is represented as a tuple in the tables. Graph algorithms are also defined in terms of relational algebraic operations such as projection, selection, and join. They can be implemented with the database language such as SQL. We also developed a library of basic graph operations for the management of graphs and the development of graph applications. This database approach provides an efficient methodology to deal with very large- scale graphs, and the graph library supports the development of graph applications. Furthermore, it has many advantages such as the concurrent graph sharing among users by virtue of the capability of database.

  • Web crawlers are fundamental programs which iteratively download web pages by following links of web pages starting from a small set of initial URLs. Previously several web crawling orderings have been proposed to crawl popular web pages in preference to other pages, but some graph search techniques whose characteristics and efficient implementations had been studied in graph theory community have not been applied yet for web crawling orderings. In this paper we consider various graph search techniques including lexicographic breadth-first search, lexicographic depth-first search and maximum cardinality search as well as well-known breadth-first search and depth-first search, and then choose effective web crawling orderings which have linear time complexity and crawl popular pages early. Especially, for maximum cardinality search and lexicographic breadth-first search whose implementations are non-trivial, we propose linear-time web crawling orderings by applying the partition refinement method. Experimental results show that maximum cardinality search has desirable properties in both time complexity and the quality of crawled pages.

  • The Ethereum shard system for solving the scalability problem of the blockchain has a load balancing issue, which is modeled as a graph partitioning problem. In this paper, we propose an adaptive online weighted graph partitioning algorithm that can negotiate between two utility of the shard system using the game theory's bargaining solution. The bargaining solution is an axiomatic solution that can fairly determine the points of conflict of utility. The proposed algorithm was improved to apply the existing online graph partitioning algorithm to the weighted graph, and load balancing was performed efficiently through the design considering the situation of the sharding system using the extension of Nash bargaining solution, which is extended to apply solution to non-convex feasible set of bargaining problem. As a result of the experiment, it showed up to 37% better performance than typical load balancing algorithm of shard system.
