그래프 및 기하 정보를 이용한 설진 영역 추출 (Extraction of Tongue Region using Graph and Geometric Information)

  • In Oriental medicine, the status of a tongue is the important indicator to diagnose one's health like physiological and clinicopathological changes of inner parts of the body. The method of tongue diagnosis is not only convenient but also non-invasive and widely used in Oriental medicine. However, tongue diagnosis is affected by examination circumstances a lot like a light source, patient's posture and doctor's condition. To develop an automatic tongue diagnosis system for an objective and standardized diagnosis, segmenting a tongue is inevitable but difficult since the colors of a tongue, lips and skin in a mouth are similar. The proposed method includes preprocessing, graph-based over-segmentation, detecting positions with a local minimum over shading, detecting edge with color difference and estimating edge geometry from the probable structure of a tongue, where preprocessing performs down-sampling to reduce computation time, histogram equalization and edge enhancement. A tongue was segmented from a face image with a tongue from a digital tongue diagnosis system by the proposed method. According to three oriental medical doctors' evaluation, it produced the segmented region to include effective information and exclude a non-tongue region. It can be used to make an objective and standardized diagnosis.

그래프 트랜스포머 기반 농가 사과 품질 이미지의 그래프 표현 학습 연구 (A Study about Learning Graph Representation on Farmhouse Apple Quality Images with Graph Transformer)

  • 최근 농가의 사과 품질 선별 작업에서 인적자원의 한계를 극복하기 위해 합성곱 신경망(CNN) 기반 시스템이 개발되고 있다. 그러나 합성곱 신경망은 동일한 크기의 이미지만을 입력받기 때문에 샘플링 등의 전처리 과정이 요구될 수 있으며, 과도 샘플링의 경우 화질 저하, 블러링 등 원본 이미지의 정보손실 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 위 문제를 최소화하기 위하여, 원본 이미지의 패치 기반 그래프를 생성하고 그래프 트랜스포머 모델의 랜덤워크 기반 위치 인코딩 방법을 제안한다. 위 방법은 랜덤워크 알고리즘 기반 위치정보가 없는 패치들의 위치 임베딩 정보를 지속적으로 학습하고, 기존 그래프 트랜스포머의 자가 주의집중 기법을 통해 유익한 노드정보들을 집계함으로써 최적의 그래프 구조를 찾는다. 따라서 무작위 노드 순서의 새로운 그래프 구조와 이미지의 객체 위치에 따른 임의의 그래프 구조에서도 강건한 성질을 가지며, 좋은 성능을 보여준다. 5가지 사과 품질 데이터셋으로 실험하였을 때, 다른 GNN 모델보다 최소 1.3%에서 최대 4.7%의 학습 정확도가 높았으며, ResNet18 모델의 23.52M보다 약 15% 적은 3.59M의 파라미터 수를 보유하여 연산량 절감에 따른 빠른 추론 속도를 보이며 그 효과를 증명한다.

  • The transient characteristics of separately excited d-c motor driven by thyristor d-c chopper is studied in this paper. The armature controlled system is applied. As a result of theoretrical analysis the following conculsions were drawn: (1) For the transient analysis, it is recognized that the state transition analysis is a more general method and powerful tool than the state equation method or signal flow graph method, although it includes iterative matrix calculations. And the system is dealt with a finite width sampled-data system in the state transition analysis. (2) The transient characteristics of the motor angular velocity and its torque to the sampling duration variation are compared with those due to the amplitude variation of d-c chopper voltage as follows. The attenuation rate of the transient characteristics is equal in both cases, but the initial value of the transient characteristics in former case is greater than in latter case. (3) The roots of characteristics equation of the system lie inside the unit circle of the Z-plane. Therefor the system is stable. Further it is found that as the sampling duration is decreased the relative stability is lessened.

대용량 컴뮤트 타임 임베딩을 위한 연산 속도 개선 방식 제안 (Proposing the Methods for Accelerating Computational Time of Large-Scale Commute Time Embedding)

  • 컴뮤트 타임 임베딩을 구현하려면 그래프 라플라시안 행렬의 고유값과 고유벡터를 구하여야 하는데, $o(n^3)$의 계산량이 요구되어 대용량 데이터에는 적용하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 이를 줄이기 위하여 표본화 과정을 통하여 크기가 줄어든 그래프 라플라시안 행렬에서 구한 다음, 원래의 고유값과 고유벡터를 근사화시키는 Nystr${\ddot{o}}$m 기법을 주로 채택한다. 이 과정에서 많은 오차가 발생하는데, 이를 개선하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 그래프 라플라시안 대신에 가중치 행렬을 표본화하고 이로부터 구한 고유값과 고유벡터를 그래프 라플라시안의 고유값과 고유벡터로 변환하는 기법을 이용하여 대용량 데이터로 구성된 스펙트럴 그래프를 근사적으로 컴뮤트 타임 임베딩하는 기법을 제안한다. 하지만, 이 방식도 스펙트럼 분해를 계산하여야 하므로 데이터의 크기가 증가하면 적용하기 어려운 문제가 발생한다. 이의 대안으로, 스펙트럼 분해를 계산하지 않고도 데이터 집합의 크기에 영향을 받지 않으면서 컴뮤트 타임을 근사적으로 계산하는 방식을 구현하고 이들의 특성을 실험적으로 분석한다.

DL-RRT* algorithm for least dose path Re-planning in dynamic radioactive environments

  • One of the most challenging safety precautions for workers in dynamic, radioactive environments is avoiding radiation sources and sustaining low exposure. This paper presents a sampling-based algorithm, DL-RRT*, for minimum dose walk-path re-planning in radioactive environments, expedient for occupational workers in nuclear facilities to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure. The method combines the principle of random tree star ($RRT^*$) and $D^*$ Lite, and uses the expansion strength of grid search strategy from $D^*$ Lite to quickly find a high-quality initial path to accelerate convergence rate in $RRT^*$. The algorithm inherits probabilistic completeness and asymptotic optimality from $RRT^*$ to refine the existing paths continually by sampling the search-graph obtained from the grid search process. It can not only be applied to continuous cost spaces, but also make full use of the last planning information to avoid global re-planning, so as to improve the efficiency of path planning in frequently changing environments. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method was verified by simulating radiation field under varying obstacles and radioactive environments, and the results were compared with $RRT^*$ algorithm output.

Cyclo-static 스케줄러를 이용한 재귀형 LMS Filter의 VLSI 구조 (VLSI Architecture of a Recursive LMS Filter Based on a Cyclo-static Scheduler)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응 필터링 분야에서 널리 쓰이고 있는 재귀형 LMS 필터의 고속연산을 위해 Cyclo-static 스케줄러를 이용하여 VLSI구현에 적합한 구조를 제안한다. 이과정은 크게 스케줄 생성 단계와 회로도 생성 단계로 구성되는데, 스케줄 생성단계는 입력으로서 Fully Specified Flow Graph(FSFG)로 표현된 재귀 DSP 알고리듬을 취하여 입력의 샘플링속도, 프로세서의 수, 그리고 주어진 입력에 대한 출력의 지연에 있어 최적인 Cyclo-static 스케줄러를 생성하여 각 프로세서간의 연결선이 최소가 되도록 스케줄을 변환한다. 회로도 생성 단계에서는 이 변환된 스케줄러로부터 미리 정의된 두 가지 형태의 프로세서 구조를 이용하여 그것을 구성하고 있는 레지스터 및 멀티플렉서의 할당을 행하고 제어신호를 포함한 완전한 회로도를 생성한다, 이렇게 생성된 회로도는 기존의 실리콘 컴파일러를 이용하여 VLSI 레이아웃으로 용이하게 변환 될 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a systolic array structure is derived from the realization of 2-D IIR digital filters directed from the SFG(signal flow graph). After realized the 1-D formed partial systolic array, we implemented the complete systolic array to be cascaded 1-D form. The cascading of partial systolic arrays reduce the storage element which sued to delay input signal. 1-D systolic array is derived from that DG is designed through local communication approach and then it mapping to SFG. The derived structure is very simple and has high throughput because during new imput sample is supplied, new output is obtained every sampling period. And broadcast input signal is eliminated. Since the systolic array has property of regularity, modularity, local interconnection and highly synchronized multiprocessing, thus is very suitable for VLSI implementation.

Fluorimetric Determination of Phosphate in Sea Water by Flow Injection Analysis

  • A sensitive method for the determination of trace amounts of phosphate by fluorescence-quenching detection / FIA is proposed. The fluorescence of Rhodamine B(RB) was quenched with the formation of the ion associate of molybdophosphate with RB;${\lambda}_{ex}$ and ${\lambda}_{em}$ were 560nm and 580nm, respectively. A calibration graph was linear over the ranges from $10^{-8}$ to $3{\times}10^{-6}M$ of phosphate (~0.3~93ppb of phosphorus). The relative standard deviation was 1.2% with $8{\times}10^{-7}M$ phosphate solution and sampling rate was 15 samples / h. The proposed method was applied to the determination of phosphate in sea and river water samples.

  • This paper developed improved fast Walsh transform based on dyadic-ordered fast Walsh transform, then regenerated signal flow graph of improved fast Walsh transform, and used it for digital filtering, and then measured fundamental frequency and harmonics for current and voltage signals of power system. Using the improved fast Walsh transform, we present a new algorithm which reduces the computational amount, and it can consequently calculate the real and imaginary components for current and voltage signals of power system in sampling intervals. The calculation amount is reduced to 2(N-1) at N samples to measure full harmonics using developed algorithm. When, in single harmonic measuring, it needs only 2(log2N-1) additions and subtractions.

학습과제 인지 과정에 대한 과학학습 동기체계에 따른 초등학생의 시선이동 분석 (Investigation of Eye-Tracking on Learning Task Perceiving Process of Elementary Students with Different Motivation System on Science Learning)

  • This study is to investigate how do elementary students' eye movements appear in cognitive process that they perceive science learning materials depending on motivation system of science learning. For this study we had a random sampling of 301, 6th grade students. And we had selected 32 students through the three tests for the final; motivation system test of science learning, a learning styles test, an Edinburgh inventory for handedness test. We were analysis the cognitive process during learning tasks for the selected student using eye-tracking equipment. The results of the research are as follows: First, when students see a science learning material, we found out that SL-BAS group that has tendency searched various areas than SL-BIS group in learning task. Second, results confirmed through the data of integrational count that students looked alternately texts, images and graphs in the learning material, SL-BIS group were more than SL-BAS group on integrated count, but they had a simple and insignificant eye movement. Especially SL-BAS students showed that integrated eye movement between texts, images and graphs in the learning material, and they explored important areas of the graph compared with SL-BIS group that there was no eye movement in graph. These results may be utilized as a useful resource for designing students' learning.
