  • This research report cuts across management sciences (market strategy entry mode development) and innovative technology (Electric Vehicle (EV)) alongside measures to submerge global warming. The development of a successful entry mode for the electric Vehicle into the African continent is the main objective of the study. The study focuses on an analysis of how electric car manufacturers can enter the African market in other to achieve global sustainability and social responsibility. The methodology is based on identifying the factors that affect the choice of an entry mode into international markets by multinational companies desiring to leverage their revenue through a foreign market. It also offered a quantitative approach that can support the economic and sustainability entry mode model for EVs and a qualitative approach of Porter's five forces analysis as an entry mode coaching tool for EVs. These proxies are used in quite a wide range of multivariate statistical methods (trend analysis, ratio, and probability, comparative t-test technique, auto-regression, and ordinary least square technique). The result acknowledges joint venture and setting of the plant (physical presents) as the optimal entry mode in African EV market. It requires the EV manufacturers a tire-free emission innovation technology in order to optimize the global sustainability initiative.

  • This paper aims to examine the implications of the global market for Korean textile and fashion firms with regard to recent changes in the international business environment to improve the corporative management to the level that the global economy demands. The trade and business environment is moving toward the paradigm of glocalism. As the geographical scope of the market and business environment continues to expand with the aid of technological development, demands for global standards as a means to offer universal validity in business settings have been raised. The glocalized society values diversity as a notion beyond global standardization. The world trade orders are subject to free trade; however, protectionism has substantially promoted trade barriers in the name of the environment and safety issues, ethical managements, and intellectual property rights. For sustainable development in the global market, Korean firms should strive to implement global standards related to these issues and corporate social responsibility in their business settings.

  • Objective : To build a basis of a research strategy for development of Korean ginseng as a global competitive medical product in the world market by Korean Oriental medicine group. Methods : Survey of all literature or analysis reports about market patterns related to ginseng or ginseng products in Korea and in other countries. Results : Korean ginseng and it products have rapidly decreased in share of the world market since the 1980s, with Korean ginseng occupying just 3% of the Hong Kong ginseng market in 2005. While Korean ginseng has been satisfied with consumption within the large Korean market itself, it now has only 1% of world market share. Conclusion : A systematic strategy is needed to strengthen global competitiveness of Korean ginseng based upon development of novel customer-tailored ginseng products. In addition, experience and science-based research in the Oriental medicine field should be involved in the process.

And the internal factors as product pricing and technology development may lie the flavor house's competitiveness and cost considerations. In developing countries, rising preference for packaged food and beverages and increasing personal expenditures will drive demand for flavor market. Increasing consumer demand for natural products, driven in part by health concerns and a desire for transparency in labeling will impact the demand. • It should be unthinkable to not provide water at survival of any living things. Water is too a basic element for development for a country. Currently, the global market of mineral water is growing rapidly. This study, I conceptualized mineral water as bottled water. In particularly, bottled water has seen huge global growth for the last few years. The annual growth rate of the market in the period 2005-2009 was 5.9%. Following a surge in obesity and subsequent health and wellness trends, many consumers are switching from sugary soft drinks to healthier alternatives. Therefore, the global bottled water market is one area which has big potential for growth, but price competition is getting intensified among multi-national and domestic firms. Korean providers too are faced with strong competition in growing domestic market. The bottled water market has presence of multinational provider like Nestle, Danone and Coca-Cola, which collectively account for 35.1% of the world market share in 2009. On the basis of a market orientation approach, this article looks at changing environments in the world mineral water industry and attempts to describe foreign market entry strategy of the Korean mineral water industry. The market orientation provides strong norms for learning from customers and competitors, is instrumental in creating a superior value for buyers, innovating successfully, and generating excellent firm performance. So firms should consider a strategic planning in basis on market orientation before they enter foreign markets. Some discussions were made about managerial implications for Korean bottled water providers.

  • Facing a mature domestic market and the challenges of the global consumer market, retailers in Taiwan are in pursuit of international development strategies for increasing its market opportunities as one of its key growth strategies. In the global market, the Chinese market becomes Taiwan retailers' main international development milestone due to its similarity of language, culture and historical background with China. Therefore, this research uses case study method based on Eclectic paradigm (Dunning 1981) to explore the various advantages of a Taiwanese children's clothing retailer Les Enphants, which include ownership advantage, internalization advantage, and location advantage. These advantages in turn demonstrate rationales behind Les Enphants' internationalization necessity (Why to Go), selecting China as an expansion target (Where to Go), and management and operation strategies implemented in China (How to Go). Our study highlights a successful entry and expansion model of the Taiwanese children clothing retailer, and may have solid contribution to the practical application of internationalization strategy theory.

  • This study aims to analyze the determinants of macroeconomic and institutional stability on the development of the global sukuk market by controlling the effects of population. This study uses panel data namely GDP per-capita, exchange rate, and inflation as the proxies for macroeconomic stability sourced from the World Development Index, and six dimensions of Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) as institutional proxies sourced from WGI-World Bank. To make robust the relationship between macroeconomics and institutional on the global sukuk market, the population (POP) variable was included as a control variable. The development of sukuk uses a proxy for sukuk issuance in the International Islamic Financial Market, for the annual period from 2002-2017. The data was analyzed using the General Method of Moment, and the results show that by controlling the population effects that proved to be significant, GDP per-capita and the rule of law have a significant impact on the development of sukuk, especially when incorporating population effects as control variables, whereby further ascertaining the effect of each macroeconomic-stability variable and institutional stability on sukuk development, especially inflation, found not to affect sukuk development. These results also confirm the previous findings, whereby inflation remains controllable at a certain level for economic development.

  • Environment of marine transportation market is changing rapidly. Due to globalization of world economy, marine transportation of cargos, especially trade using container boxes, is increasing dramatically. Fierce competition in the global market of container transportation forces the shipping industry to seek the economy of scale to reduce transportation cost, and drives the merge and alliance of liner shipping companies. Mega-sized container ships, having capacity over 10,000 TEU, were introduced, and appeared recently, in order to reduce the unit transportation cost. Korean shipping and shipbuilding companies are competitive, and have considerable market share in the global market. Even though both industries are inter-connected through ships and have many common interests in order to enlarge the global market share, inter-relation between two industries is surprisingly insignificant. In this paper current issues in the process of environmental change of marine cargo transportation are reviewed, and inter-relation of shipping and shipbuilding industries is discussed. Suggestions for inter-related development of Korean shipping and shipbuilding industries are given, and means for mutually beneficial collaboration are suggested.
