In the proto design stage of a new car, the performance of an occupant protection system is often evaluated by CAE instead of the real test. CAE predicts and recommends the appropriate design values hence reducing the number of the real tests. However, the existing researches using CAE in predicting the performances do not consider the uncertainties of parameters, in which inconsistency between the actual test results and CAE exists. In this research, the optimization procedure of a protection system such as airbag and load limiter is suggested for the frontal collision. The DACE modeling known as Kriging interpolation is introduced to obtain the meta model of the system followed by the tabu search method to determine a global optimum. Finally, the distribution of a suggested design is determined through the Monte-Carlo Simulation.

Security of radioactive sources has been an issue since the earliest days of safety regulation of such materials. Since the events of September 11 2001, some governments and regulatory bodies have been much more focussed on these issues and have introduced extensive and enhanced security arrangements. International organisations like the IAEA and WINS have worked hard to help States in this regard. However, only a minority of States have implemented statutory security systems for radioactive source security. Why have so many States still to take action? What can be done to encourage and support these changes? This paper will offer some possible explanations for the lack of action in so many States and some potential answers to these questions.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) states that the recommended horizontal accuracy for coastal and offshore areas is 10 m, the Alert Limit (AL) is 25 m, the time to alert is 10 seconds, and the integrity risk (IR) is 10^-5 per three hours. For operations requiring high accuracy, such as tugs and pushers, icebreakers, and automated docking, the IMO dictates that a high level of positioning accuracy of less than one meter and a protection level of 0.25 meters (for automated docking) to 2.5 meters should be achieved. In this paper, we analyze a method of calculating the user-side protection level of the centimeter-level precision Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) that is being studied to provide augmentation information for the precision Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) service. In addition, we analyze standardized integrity forms based on RTCM SC-134 to propose an integrity information form and generate a centimeter-level precise PNT service plan.

The purpose of the present paper is to examine the North Korean refugee protection system and its shortcomings. Based on the findings from the analysis of legal system and status of personal protection, this paper proposes the following measures to solve the problems and improve South Korea's existing system. First of all, personal protection for North Korean refugees should be carried out in an inclusive and humanitarian manner. Secondly, the collaborative governance operating system for protecting North Korean refugees should be established. Lastly, clear guidelines for personal protection procedures should be developed to ensure personal protection officers'accountability.

Recently the global warming caused by greenhouse gas has emerged as a global environmental problem. For this reason the continued efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emission by international cooperation and each country are in progress. Climate changing has been recognized as the world economy development from fossil fuel use is the culprit. The international maritime organization marine environment protection committee of the global warming reduction emerged restrictions on air pollution have been strengthened. Therefore, the author has investigated the effects of fuel temperature on the characteristics of combustion and performance, using an four-cycle, six cylinders and direct injection diesel engine. The results of cylinder pressure, rate of pressure rise, rate of heat release and specific fuel consumption were increased by changing of fuel temperature.

Financial service in economy is same with neural net or vein net of human body. Moreover, every economic entity which has experienced global financial crisis in 2008 is realizing more importance and power of financial service, and is recognizing financial service as a part of new engine of growth for economic development. As global linkages relating financial service in the industry are deepened, we can expect that the economic interests between countries are more conflicted. Because financial service is regarded as critical factors in order to ensure future competitive advantage, more active change of financial service paradigm in Korea is required. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the paradigm of financial service in global business aspect, to prepare the global governance strategies about financial service, and to bring up some ideas for Korea's economic development after global financial crisis by intensifying the competitiveness of financial services. It is suggested that Korea should prepare the "Master Law for Financial Service" (provisional name) in advance as governance strategy for financial service. And not only establishing the financial risks prevention system and consumer's protection agency, but financial competitiveness strengthening actions will have to be included in governance strategy of financial service in Korea.

Recently, as change in global logistics environment, various issues have been presenting. These issues are including the pursuit of low cost-high added value, the realization of sustainable logistics system, the protection of environment, and the development of ubiquitous techniques. To cope with these environment changes and improve the national logistics system, the government have carried out various logistics policies and pushed ahead development of national logistics information network. But still, from a view-point of national logistics, there are several inefficient elements such as information connection and utilization, code/data standardization. In this paper, the survey result of global logistics environment change, logistics policy of a developed countries, domestic logistics policy and information system status will be presented. And from these status, suggestive points are mentioned. Finally the status of railway logistics information and future developments are presented.

Various countries established Geographical Indication (GI) system to protect the right and traditionality of their native products. The regulations vary by country but can be divided accordingly: Protection by trademark systems such as in USA, Special Protection for Geographical Indication as in EU, Protection by both schemes as in China and Korea. Within the systems, countries provide diverse schemes such as PDO and PGI in EU depending on the scope of the product. However, GI system in Korea provides one definition which only protects products that express definite tie to its territory of origin, preliminary with the origin of the ingredient. It is necessary for the government and industry to seek ways to revitalize the local economy in the global market and increase the number of GI products by aligning GI systems with foreign countries and support mutual bilateral agreement.

High performance and reliability of the storage system to handle a very large amount of data has been become very important. Many techniques have been applied on the various application systems to establish very large capacity storage that satisfy the requirement of high I/O speed and physical or logical failure protection. We applied RAID and LVM to construct a storage system for the global data center which needs a very reliable large capacity storage system. The storage system is successfully established and equipped on the latest Linux application server.
