마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의하여 다양한 기판 위에 증착된 CrN 박막의 핵생성과 성장거동 (Nucleation and growth mechanism of nitride films deposited on glass by unbalanced magnetron sputtering)

  • CrN 박막이 펄스마그네트론증착법에 의하여 glass, Si(110), AISI 1040 steel 위에 증착되어졌다. 각 기판 위에 증착된 CrN 박막의 구조는 표면의 접촉특성 보다는 표면의 구조에 영향을 받는 것으로 판단되어 진다. 또한 grain의 크기는 기판에 관계없이 증착 시간이 증가함에 따라 증가한다. AISI 1040 steel 위에 증착된 CrN 박막의 grain 성장과 구조는 glass와 Si에 비하여 바이어스에 강하게 영향을 받는다. 이러한 결과는 glass 와 Si 보다도 금속이 높은 전기전도성을 가지고 있기 때문인 것으로 생각되어 진다.

고대 유리구슬의 재질분석 연구-고성 내산리 출토 유리구슬을 중심으로 (The scientific analysis of glass beads excavated from Naesanri in Gosung)

  • We performed the scientific analysis through composition analysis, micro-structure investigation, melting point and hardness test to the glass beads excavated at Naesanri in Gosung. Through this investigation, we could examine closely the characterization of raw materials and manufacture technique As a result of micro-structure investigation of glass beads, it appeared that the bubbles in glass beads have remained. Coloring agents of yellow glass bead was remained to the shape of inclusion. And on observing the transparent solid particle, we can know that these do not melt the raw materials because of low melting temperature of a crucible. The result of composition analysis of all glass beads using ICP, these were classified as $Na_2O_2$-$SiO_2$ type of glass. Also, these added to $AI_2O_3$ to improve the durability. The value of Vickers hardness of glass beads appeared the HV 490-530. The HV 1,440 of the transparent solid particle was much more than that of inner glass bead. This means that raw materials do not melt because of a low melting temperature of a crucible. The result of melting temperature analysis of glass beads using DSC/TGA, it was measured about $1,250^{\circ}C$.

  • 1.9GHz On-Glass 안테나의 이론 및 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서 설계된 On-Glass안테나의 구조는 페이징 코일에 의해 분리된 5/8 $\lambda$ 상부 요소와 1/4$\lambda$ 하부 요소로 구성된다. On-Glass 안테나는 안테나와 직렬로 적절하게 배치된 페이징 코일을 이용하여 공진시킬 수 있다. 이와 같은 공진 구조는 안테나 효율에 있어 향상을 가져오고, 차량과 같이 한정된 공간에서 이용되는 경우 설치하는데 매우 유용하다. 해석 방법은 펄스 함수를 갖는 콜로케이션법에 근거한다. 수치 해석법에 의해 얻어진 결과를 제시하고 측정 결과와 비교하였다. 이러한 결과로 부터 On-Glass 안테나의 VSWR, 이득, 복사패턴, 대역폭 등이 해석되었다.

  • The resolution of the accelerometer, fabricated with MEMS technology is mainly affected by mechanical and electrical noise. To reduce mechanical noise, we have to increase mass of the structure part and quality factor related with the degree of vacuum packaging. On the other hand, to increase mass of the structure part, the thickness of the structure must be increased and ICP-RIE is used to fabricate the high aspect ratio structure. At this time, footing effect make the sensitivity of the accelerometer decreasing. This paper presents a hybrid SOG(Silicon On Glass) Process to fabricate a lateral silicon accelerometer with differential capacitance sensing scheme which has been designed and simulated. Using hybrid SOG Process, we could make it a real to increase the structural thickness and to prevent the footing effect by deposition of metal layer at the bottom of the structure. Moreover, we bonded glass wafer to structure wafer anodically, so we could realize the vacuum packaging at wafer level. Through this way, we could have an idea of controlling of quality factor.

ZnO 박막과 유전체 박막으로 구성된 이중구조의 물성 및 표면 탄성파 특성 (A Study on SAW Properties of Bilayer Thin Film Structure Composed of ZnO and Dielectric Thin Films)

  • Glass/SiNx/ZnO 적층 박막구조의 SAW 특성 변화를 분석하였다. ZnO 박막은 rf magnetron sputter를 이용하여, 산소를 반응성 가스로 Ar과 함께 진공챔버내에 주입시켜 증착하였고, 주로 산소량에 따른 박막의 특성변화를 관찰하였다. 산소분압은 ZnO 박막의 증착속도 및 결정성에 많은 영향을 주고 있었으며, rocking curve의 결과에 의하면 (002) 배향성을 가진 ZnO 박막의 c-축 수직도가 Ar과 산소의 유량비가 67/33에서 가장 좋은 2.17도를 보여주고 있다. 이 값은 ZnO 박막을 압전요소로 사용하기에 충분한 조건이다. SiNx의 두께를 7000Å, ZnO 박막의 두께를 5μm로 한 glass/SiNx/Al/ZnO의 박막 적층 구조의 SAW 특성을 보면 ZnO/glass 구조와 비교시 SAW 속도가 최대 2.2%까지 증가했음을 알 수 있었다.

Characterization of the Oxide Layer Formed on the Cu-Zr Based Metallic Glass during Continuous Heating

  • In the present study, the oxidation behavior of $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ and $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glasses has been investigated using transmission electron microscopy with a particular attention on the oxidation behavior in the supercooled liquid state. Identification of the oxidation product after continuous heating treatment shows that in $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ metallic glass, $ZrO_2$ with the monoclinic structure forms on the supercooled liquid as well as on the crystallized matrix. On the contrary, in $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glass, $ZrO_2$ with the tetragonal structure forms on the supercooled liquid, but that with the monoclinic structure forms on the crystallized matrix. The result indicates that the $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ metallic glass exhibits far better oxidation resistance in the supercooled liquid state than the $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glass.

Contactless Suspension and Propulsion of Glass Panels by Electrostatic Forces

  • In the manufacture of liquid crystal display devices, there is a strong demand for contactless glass plate handling devices that can manipulate a glass plate without contaminating or damaging it. To fulfill this requirement, an electrostatic transportation device for glass plates is proposed. This device can directly drive a glass plate and simultaneously provide contactless suspension by electrostatic forces. To accomplish these two functions, a feedback control strategy and the operational principle of an electrostatic induction motor are utilized. The stator possesses electrodes which exert electrostatic forces on the glass plate and are divided into a part responsible for suspension and one for transportation. To accomplish dynamic stability and a relatively fast suspension initiation time, the structure of the electrode for suspension possesses many boundaries over which potential differences are formed. In this paper, an electrode pattern suitable for the suspension of glass plates is described, followed by the structure of the transportation device and its operational principle. Experimental results show that the glass plate has been transported with a speed of approximately 25.6 mm/s while being suspended stably at a gap length of 0.3 mm.

Glass Remote Phosphor 구조를 갖는 백색 LED 패키지의 형광체 함량과 열처리 온도 최적화 (Optimization of Phosphor Contents and Heat-treatment Temperature in White LED Package with Glass Remote Phosphor Structure)

  • In this research, a 6W white LED package with a Glass Remote Phosphor was developed to improve the life of an LED package. The Glass Remote Phosphor was fabricated by the Phosphor in Glass (PiG) method, wherein phosphor YAG:Ce was mixed with glass frit and then heat treated. A paste with 75wt.% of a phosphor substance and 25wt.% glass frit was coated on a glass substrate two times using the screen-printing technique and heat-treated at $800^{\circ}C$ ; this structure gave a luminous efficacy of 136.1lm/W, color rendering index of 74Ra, and color temperature of 5,342K, thus satisfying the requirements as a light source for lighting. Moreover, an IES LM-80 accelerated life test was conducted on the same LED package for 6,000h in order to estimate the L70 lifetime based on IES TM-21. The results showed guaranteed lifetimes of 213,000h at $55^{\circ}C$, 245,000h at $85^{\circ}C$, and 209,000h at $95^{\circ}C$.

Properties of the metallic glass thin films fabricated by multicomponent single alloying target and its applications in various industrial fields

  • Metallic glass alloys having dense packing structure have short range ordered structure with long range homogeneity. Therefore, they can provide complete corrosion protection and unique electrical properties. Recently, metallic glass thin films have received much attention to extend its application fields combining with PVC coating technologies. The metallic glass thin films can change the surface properties of the conventional bulk materials which need anticorrosion properties. However, multi-component alloying targets are required to fabricate the metallic glass thin films because metallic glass alloys contain more than three elements. Recently, many researchers have been reported the properties of the metallic glass thin films synthesized with multi-cathode systems or amorphous target. But, it is difficult to fabricate the large sized sputtering targets for mass production equipment with high toughness and thermal stability. In this study, newly developed sputtering target with glass forming ability and the properties of the metallic glass thin films will be introduced with respect to the various application fields such as bipolar plate in PEM fuel cell and decorative coatings for electric device and construction fields.
