The LTCCs (low-temperature co-fired ceramics) are very important for electronic industry to build smaller RF modules and to fulfill the necessity for miniaturization of devices in wireless communication industry. The dielectric materials with sintering temperature $T_{sint}$<$900^{\circ}C$ are required. In this study, we investigated with glass-ceramic composition, which was crystallized with two crystals. The microstructure, crystal phases, thermal and mechanical properties, and dielectric properties of the composites were investigated using FE-SEM, XRD, TG-DTA, 4-point bending strength test and LCR measurement. The starting temperature for densification of a sintered body was at $779{\sim}844^{\circ}C$ and the glass frits were formatted to the crystal phases, $CaAl_2Si_2O_8$(anorthite) and $CaMgSi_O_6$(diopside), at sintering temperature. The sintered bodies exhibited applicable dielectric properties, namely 6-9 for ${\varepsilon}_r$. The results suggest that the glass-ceramic composite would be potentially possible to application of low dielectric L TCC materials.
The effect of titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) on the properties of color conversion glasses was examined for glasses based on $BaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$. One glass sample, containing 25 mol% of each component, was used as a reference; the other three glass samples contained 1, 3, and 5 mol% $TiO_2$, respectively. The four color conversion glass samples were prepared by sintering a mixture of glass frits and a $YAG:Ce^+$ phosphor. The characteristics of the color conversion glass samples, such as luminous efficacy, luminance, CIE (Commission International de I'Eclairage) chromaticity, CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), and CRI (Color Rendering Index) were analyzed according to the PL spectrum. The refractive index of the glass samples was found to increase with the titanium dioxide content. In conclusion, luminous efficacy of color conversion glasses increased as the content of $TiO_2$ was raised in the glass matrix.
Glasses in the $Bi_{2}O_3-SiO_2-ZnO$ glasses system were examined as a potential replacement for lead-oxide glass frits with low firing temperature ($500\sim600^{\circ}C$) for the dielectric layer of a plasma display panel (PDP). The glasses were evaluated for glass transition temperature($T_{g}$) and thermal expansion coefficient(${\alpha}$). After forming transparent thick films by a screen-printing method, it was evaluated for the optical properties. The transmittance of thick films fired at $500-600^{\circ}C$ showed above $80\%$, which was not dependent on the firing temperature. As a result, many pores were observed at samples fired at low temperature, while the number of pores from samples prepared at high temperature decreased and the pores size increased.

The eco-friendly technologies have been extended as matter of international concern due to various diseases and syndromes according to an environmental pollution. In this study, we have manufactured a ceramic cluster with thick film type for anion generation equipment which is maximized anion but minimized ozone contents generated. To develop the formulation of ceramic cluster, we conducted the $Mg_2SiO_4$ powders doped with 10 vol% glass frits as Na-Zn-B-O system and sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours in air for starting materials and investigated the matching properties between the Ag-Pd electrode and the starting materials. The sintered sample for the composition of cluster has 6.7 of dielectric constant and 32 kV/mm of withstand voltage. The yield of anions was measured according to an electrode pattering, discharge gap between electrode, and thickness of electrode protective layer in the cluster of thick film type. We have manufactured the ceramic clusters with optimized thick film structure that have an anion over a hundred particles and the ozone of 0.6 ppb generated.

Micro patterning of conductor line/space on LTCC green sheet in the LTCC module is an important process for miniaturization in 3D integrated circuits. This work presented the effect of inorganic binders on the microstructure, adhesion, electrical resistivity, shrinkage and line/space resolution, which is a part of study in photoimageable conductor paste. The photoimageable conductor paste contains silver powder, polymer binder, monomer, photo-initiator, UV absorber, and solvent. The inorganic binders were furnished with varied weight percentage of anorthite, diopside and MLS-62 glass frits from 0% to 7%. The Line/space sizes thus obtained was under 25 micron.
A transparent dielectric of the $PbO-B_2O_3-SiO_2-A1_2O_3$ system which was a low melting glass has been used for PDP (Plasma Display Panel), but it has a problem which is a reaction to be occurred between a transparent dielectric layer and electrodes (Ag, ITO) after firing. This research was conducted for ion migration of $Ag^+\$ and $Sn^ {2+}$ during firing three different frits of low melting glass. The result showed that yellowing phenomena occurred through a chemical reaction between $Ag^+\$and $Sn^ {2+}$ at 550~58$0^{\circ}C$ for 20~60 min. In addition, it was confirmed that the migration of $Sn^{2+}$ from ITO electrode made a strong effect on the yellowing phenomena.

Low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology offers significant benefits over the other established packaging technologies for high density, high microwave frequency, and fast signal application. Most conventional electroceraramics do not meet the basic requirements in respect of sinterability for LTCC technology. Attention is, therefore, focused on the role of glasses because of the capability they supply with lower sintering temperatures. In this study, commercial ceramic (MBRT-90) in the system BaO-N $d_2$$O_3$-Ti $O_2$ (BNT: 40 ~ 80 wt%) and L $a_2$$O_3$- $B_2$$O_3$-Ti $O_2$ glass (LBT;60 ~ 20 wt%) were prepared. These glass/ceramic composites were evaluated for sintering behavior, phase evaluation, densities, interface reaction, crystallinity, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties. It was found that the addition LBT glass frits significantly lowered the sintering temperature to below 90$0^{\circ}C$ and as temperature increased (750~90$0^{\circ}C$) densification developed dynamically which was meant to be as over 95% of relative density. It is supposed that in the microstructure, the grain size was increased accompanying with the formation of different phases such as LaB $O_3$ and Ti $O_2$ under the condition of increasing sintering temperature. The sintered bodies represented applicable dielectric properties, namely 20 ~ 40 for $\varepsilon_{{\gamma}}$, ~ 10000 GHz for Q* $f_{0}$ and 10~80 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ for $\tau$$_{f}$. The results suggest that the composite is one of feasible candidates for the microwave use in LTCC technology.y.e use in LTCC technology.y.

The investigation is directed to lead free (Pb-free) frits that can be used for organic light emitting diode, plasma display screen devices and other sealing materials. $P_2O_5$-SnO system glasses have been prepared for Pb-free low temperature glass frit. Structure and properties of the glasses with the composition SnO-$xB_2O_3-(60-x)P_2O_5$ (x=0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 mol%) were characterized by infrared spectra (IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Density, Molar volume, Thermo mechanical analysis(TMA) and weight loss after immersion test. Glass transition temperature($T_g$), dilatometric softening temperature($T_d$) and chemical durability increased, and coefficient of thermal expansion($\alpha$) decrease with the substitution of $B_2O_3$ for $P_2O_5$ in the range of 0~25 mol%.
Recently, remote phosphors have been reported for application to white LEDs to provide enhanced phosphor efficiency compared with conventional phosphor-based white LEDs. In this study, a remote phosphor was produced by coating via screen printing on a glass substrate with different numbers of phosphor coating. The paste consists of phosphor, lowest softening glass frits, and organic binders. The remote phosphor could be well controlled by varying the phosphor content rated paste. After mounting the remote phosphor on top of a blue LED chip, CCT, CRI, and luminance efficiency were measured and values of 5300 K, 62, and 117 lm/W were respectively obtained in the 80 wt% phosphor with 3 coating layers sintered at $800^{\circ}C$.
