인삼부산물(人蔘副産物)이 흰쥐의 심장(心臟) 및 역환 Cholesterol 함량(含量)에 미치는 영향(影響) (A Study on the Change of Cholesterol Contents by Supplement of the Panax Ginseng by Products in the Dietary Protein Level in Rat's Heart and Testis)

  • Our country has been produced much amounts of panax ginseng roots which has a stimulating effects on the metabolism of protein, lipid and nucleic acids in the body. And the leaf trunk of panax ginseng were also produced a considerable amounts as the by - products. Therefore, this study was devised to observe the nutritional effect to rats feeding of rice diet supplemented with by - products of panax ginseng, male Albino rats of pure strain weighing 73.8 ${\pm}$ 0.7 g were used as experimental animal to investigate the changes of cholesterol in heart and testis. The animals were divided into sixteen diet group, they were the protein contents of 9%, 12%, 15% and 18% supplemented with 2% panax ginseng roots and its by - products respectively. The group without the supplements were used as the control. The diet group were again divided into 2 groups according to the feeding terms, 4 weeks and 8 weeks. It is concluded that the free from cholesterol and total cholesterol contents in the heart and testis with the supplements of panax ginseng roots and its by - products showed significant difference compared to the control group.

Photosynthetic Response of Korean Ginseng under Saline Condition

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the salinity on growth, inorganic ion content, and photosynthetic rate ($\textrm{P}^{N}$) in Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) with complex fertilizer (CF) and NaCl concentrations. The salinity was applied to plant using NaCl and CF, and controlled an EC as 0.0, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$. The salinity treated three times at 35, 42 and 49 d after transplanting. The leaf area in different electrical conductivity (EC) decreased only the higher NaCl 1.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$. The root growth increased with CF and especially, it was two times higher at 3.0 dS $\textrm{m}^{-1}$ than that of control. But the root growth sharply decreased with NaCl compared to CF. The light saturation point of Korean ginseng was around 100 $\mu\textrm{mol}\;\textrm{m}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$ photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), and $\textrm{P}^{N}$ increased as CF increased but decreased with NaCl especially at the late growth stage. The $\textrm{Na}^{+}$ content in Korean ginseng increased sharply with NaCl.

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of physical and chemical characteristics of lower grade tobacco with treatment of ozone. In ozonization of low grade tobacco, optimum moisture was 20 percentage, and decrease ratio of content of tobacco leaf was 30 percentage in nicotine , 15.9 percentage in total volatile base, 10.5 percentage in petroleum-ether-extract, 29.5 percentage in solanesol, and decrease ratio of cigarette smoke composition was 31 percentage in nicotine, 6.08 percentage in tar.

  • 본 연구는 해가림의 투광율이 인삼잎의 광합성능력 및 호흡에 미치는 영향을 구명하고 이들의 계절적 변리를 추적하기 위하여 진행하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 각 공시 투광율의 해가림하에서 생육된 인삼잎은 온도 및 연생의 차이에 관계없이 모두 10,000 lux하에서 최대광합성을 나타내었고 계절적 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 2. 10∼15% 투광율의 해가림하에서 생육된 인삼잎의 광합성량이 각 온도 및 광도에서 가장 높았으며, 2년생 인삼에서는 이의 계절적 차이가 현저하지 않았으나 4년생에서는 생육성기에 비해 후기의 최적투광율이 약간 낮아지는 경향이었다. 3. 인삼잎의 광합성능력은 생육성기에 비해 후기에 현저한 감소를 나타내었는데 그 정도는 후열 재식인삼에서 현저히 높았다. 4. 암호흡양은 생육성기에는 10∼15% 투광율하에서 생육된 인삼잎에서 많았으나 생육후기에는 20∼25%의 투광율하의 잎에서 현저히 많았고 각 투광율에 관계없이 온도가 높을 수록 암호흡양은 현저히 증가되었다. 5. 인삼잎의 엽록소함량은 해가림의 투광율이 증가될 수록 현저한 감소를 나타내었으며 이러한 경향의 계절적 차이는 인정되지 않았다.

황색종 연초(Nicotiuna tabacum L. )에서 엽탈락의 품종간 차이 II. (Varietal Difference of Leaf Breakdown in Field of Flue -Cured Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) II)

  • This study was conducted to obtain the breeding Information for varietal difference of leaf breakdown of flue-cured tobacco at Taegu Experiment Station, Korea Ginseng & Tobacco Research Institute In 1988. The experiment was designed in randomized block with 3 replications. And data were analyzed as spilt plot design composed with varieties for main and growth stages for sub-plots. Among the 8 varieties (NC 95, SL 72, Sleight G-28, TC 518, NC82, NC 2326, NC 567 and TC 499), first half derived from NC 95, and 4 latter varieties were used for check Plants and not derived from NC 95. Plant seedlings were transplanted in 15 April. The number of breakdown leaf were investigated twice at peak growth stage, 5 June and at early harvest stage, 30 June. NC 95 and varieties derived from NC 95 had showed significantly different on the number of breakdown leaf compared to the latter 4 ones after heavy rainfall, but there were not significantly different at the two growth stages. It was suggested that NC95 and varieties derived from NC 95 had substance to induce leaf breakdown by conditional genes after water absorption to plant tissue. Among the varieties derived from NC 95 cultivar SC 72, Speight G-28 and TC 518 had appeared significantly different on the number of breakdown leaf, respectively. These results could appreciated analogically that character of leaf breakdown were governed by heteromeric genes In NC 95.

논토양에서 비닐하우스를 이용한 재배방법이 인삼의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Cultivation Using Plastic-Film House on Yield and Quality of Ginseng in Paddy Field)

  • The average and maximum temperature were $29.5^{\circ}C$ and $33.2^{\circ}C$ at 2:00 p.m. respectively, in the plastic-film house covered with shade net, and both of temperature were lower $0.6^{\circ}C$ and $1.3^{\circ}C$ than those of conventional shade. Light transmittance was 14% in the plastic-film house, while 9.9% in conventional shade during growing season from May to October. Withering time of aboveground part was on October 3rd in conventional shade with 60% of withering leaf, while it was on November 10th with 3.7% of withering leaf in the plastic-film house, about 40 days longer survival. The main disease incidence were 15% of anthracnose, 17% of leaf spot, 5% of phytophthora blight and 3% of gray mold in the conventional shade, while 0 ~ 0.1% disease incidence and 95% of emergence rate in the plastic-film house. The growth in the aboveground and underground part of ginseng was totally better, particularly characteristics affecting yield such as root length, main root length and diameter in the plastic-film house. The fresh weight was increased by 128% compared to the conventional shade and harvested roots per $3.3m^2$ were 36 roots in the conventional shade and 58 roots in the plastic-film house and futhermore yield per $3.3m^2$ was increased by 216% compared to the conventional shade. As covering materials, the rice straw in the plastic-film house was excellent. The ginsenoside contents affecting the quality of ginseng were higher in the plastic-film house indicating 0.333% of Rg1, 0.672% of Rb1, 0.730% of Rc and rate of red rusty root was less than 4.0 ~ 6.1%. Above the results, the quality of ginseng grown in the plastic-film house covered with shade net was improved than that of the conventional shade.

산양삼 재배지의 입지, 토양 및 재배특성 분석 (An Analysis on Site, Soil and Cultivation Characteristics of Korean Mountain Cultivated Ginseng (Panax ginseng) Field)

  • 산양삼 재배를 위한 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 9개도 18 재배지를 대상으로 입지환경, 토양환경, 생육과정, 재배방법과 시기를 조사 분석하였다. 산양삼 재배 입지환경은 활엽수림, IV영급 기준 ha당 잔존본수 500~1,000본, 해발 500 m 미만, 경사 $25^{\circ}$ 이하, 재배사면은 북, 북동, 동, 북서방향에서 주로 재배되는 것으로 나타났다. 토양은 유기물함량 3.43~24.07%, pH 3.8~5.7, 토성은 사토~사양 토로 재배지 간에 많은 차이를 나타내었다. 생육과정은 발순, 개엽, 개화, 결실, 홍숙, 낙과, 낙엽까지 조사되어 평균 98일의 생육기간이 소요되었다. 재배방법은 파종과 이식 형태로 증식되고 있었으며, 파종은 개갑처리(발아촉진처리)와 직파형태로 파종하고 있으며 각각 70%, 30%로 처리되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 고려인삼 8개 신품종의 특성을 요약하면 아래와 같다. 1) 다경발생율이 연풍은 45%로 가장 높았고, 금품은 7%로 가장 낮았으나, 지상부생육은 금품이 가장 양호 하였고, 연풍이 가장 낮았다. 2) 종자결실율은 금품이 85.4%로 가장 높았으며, 천풍이 69.1%로 가장낮았다. 종자수확량은 연풍이 108.3개로 가장많았고, 천풍이 77.5개로 가장 적었다. 3) 엽소발생율은 천풍이 타품종보다 각년생에서 높았으나 연풍은 다소 낮았다. 4) 뿌리 부위별 무게분포비율에서 동체의 비율이 천풍 등 5품종은 49%-55.9%로 자경재래종 63,1%보다 낮았으나, 지근의 비율은 5개 신품종이 19,3%-23.3%로 자경재래종 13.2% 보다 높았고, 세근은 차이가 없었다. 5) 수량은 연풍>금풍>고풍>천풍=선풍>자경재래증 순으로 연풍이 가장 높았고,동장은 천풍이 8.0cm로 가장 길었으나 연풍이 6.4cm로 가장 짧았다. 적변삼 발생율은 신품종이 0.2-9,5%로 자경재래종 16.3%보다 현저히 낮았다. 6) 천삼의 생출율은 천풍>금풍>고풍>선풍>연풍>청선>자경재래종의 순서로 천풍이 높았으며, 천지삼의 생출율도 같은 경향이었다. 7) 품종별 동체의 단위무게 당 total ginsenosides 함량은 금풍 8.53mg, 연풍8.13mg, 고풍7.47mg로 높았으나, 천풍과 선풍은 각각 5.73mg과 4.87mg로 다소낮았다.

Shading Effect of Different Colored Polyethylene net on Seeding Growth of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer

  • This study was carried out to investigate spectral irradiance characteristics of blue, yellow, and blue-black colored polyethylene (PE) shading net and the effect on growth characteristics and yield in ginseng seedling. The spectral irradiance $({\mu}mol/m^2/s/nm)$ showed the peak at 498 nm in both of blue and blue-black PE shading net, and 606 nm under yellow PE one. The intensity of blue light in blue shading was more strong than that of blue-black shading, control. Blue shading was increased by 17% and 23% in accumulated quantum for daytime, $0.5^{\circ}C and $0.2^{\circ}C$ in maximum temperature on June 2 than that of yellow and blue-black shading, respectively, but heat injury ratio of the former was lower than that of the latter. Chlorophyll content and stem length in blue shading were decreased more significantly than those of yellow and blue-black shading. The specific leaf weight was higher under blue and yellow shading than that of blue-black shading. Ginseng seedling harvested in blue shading was increased by $13{\sim}17%$ in the number of root, and $17{\sim}20%$ in root weight per $m^ 2 compared to yellow and blue-black shading owing to the increase of survived plant, and the decrease of specific leaf weight, heat injury ratio, and stem length.

고온(高溫)과 재배광도(栽培光度)가 인삼(人蔘) 잎의 지방산(脂肪酸) 조성(組成)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of High Temperature and Growth Light Intensity on Fatty Acid Composition of Panax ginseng leaf)

  • 광도(光度)가 다른 포장조건에서 자란 6년근 인삼잎과 온도별 20시간 처리된 관행재배 6년근 절제엽중(切除葉中)의 지방산을 gas chromatography로 분석하였다. 재배광도(온도)가 높을수록 지방산 함량이 감소하였다. Linoleic, linolenic, palmitic과 palmitoleic acid가 다량(多量)지방산으로 80%였다. 지방산 조성의 유사도는 광도 20%까지는 차이가 크지 않았으나 30%에서 차이를 보여 20%가 재배 한계 광도인 것 같다. 재배광도가 높을수록 불포화 지방산비율이나 불포화대(不飽和帶)의 비율이 적어져서 고온에 대한 적응 기작으로 보였다. 30% 수광율과 수확기잎이 지방산특성이 유사하였으며 고온적응과 노화(老化)의 관계가 불분명(不分明)하였다. 단시간(短時間)의 고온처리 ($25^{\circ}$$35^{\circ}C$)는 지방산함량, 불포화산비율 및 불포화도의 비율을 증대시켰고 지방산 조성이 유사하여 장기 온도효과와는 반대의 결과였다.
