  • The importance of professor's outline in a feedback instruction was examined through various documents and the way in which the evaluation was fulfilled in Korean educational environment and its reflection upon the evaluation result were investigated by means of research. Based upon the survey results in connection with the progress and basis of teachers' on the spot feedback mathematics instruction in schools, it was found that most of teachers who engaged in feedback mathematics instruction were going over the most frequently missed problems. I proposed that we should bring up the point at issue and grasp its tendency of a class and entire group's results by means of a relative comparative analysis method, and thereupon establish a fixed category and choose substantial feedback scholarship according to that category. From this basis, the sub-sequent research topics include the substantial feedback effects of the selected problems that should be given priority, a group analysed and classified by means of comparison of tendency as well as feedback outline depended on students' characteristic, and the determining factors of tendency(a condition of professors, a level of students, geographical difference(s), and gender difference(s), etc...).

  • The coastal waters and the adjacent coastal lands strongly influenced by each other and includes islands, transitional and intertidal ares, salt marshes wetlands and beaches. We focus on the coastal zone because of its unique geographical characteristics, Its ecological and economic importance, and the increasing pressures on its integrity. Our coastal zone have been controlled individually about 50 of a different kind of laws, as a result, to reach an individual purpose of the laws, people have developed the coastal zone without considering environmental condition, which brought about ecological destruction, pollution and devastation of the coastal areas. Finally, In 1999, the Coastal Management Act and the Wetlands Conservation Act were established and hereafter the environmental concern has been increased. They will be an important role to preserve our environment of coastal zone. Here I will examine the Laws concerned with environmental management of coastal zone and indicate immanent problems of it. So, I expect that problems will be improved one by one through this paper.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the conditions of small fishing village & fishing port and to suggest the development direction of them. For this, we tried to field survey and research of development demands for 100 sample places. The results of this study were as follows; First, Small fishing villages & fishing ports have different characteristics and their primary industry was a fisheries. And they have a poor condition for basic facilities and industrial facilities, more smaller fishing port. Second, The living satisfaction of residents was decreased gradually because of a decrease in amount of catching fish, a population aging and etc. Residents and public officers was to demand an expansion of basic facilities, an investment of national expenditure and a simplification of administrative procedure. Third, We could establish the development directions by geographical location and funcion of them. And They must development consider their characteristics.

  • The objective of this study is to develop highway advisory radio service for road safety oriented system design of the point by regional groups or geographical distributions. To develop these highway advisory radio service, traffic information provided service areas, responds for incident and accident, and road condition in service sections based on traffic information of highway advisory radio service. This study contributes to service of traffic information for safety driving, which is transport congestion areas and recognition of traffic congestion status in advanced traffic information service. As result of this study, systematic design of the advanced highway and traffic safety guides to management systems by highway advisory radio service.

  • This study deals with bottom debris and benthos which have obtained by using a beam trawler in Chinhae bay, Korea. The temperature and salinity didn't impact on the fish species and weights in the bay. But bottom debris is dominated on the precipitation into the bay. And it also was nearly very soiled owing to geographical condition of semi-enclosed bay. Moreover, all debris was not related on the quantitative variability of benthos. On the other hand, it was revealed to be reverse-correlative with fish species and positive-correlative with fish weights.

  • This study was carried out to investigate occurrence and distribution of cellular slime molds by vegetation in Mt. Seorak. Eleven species were isolated from surface soil samples as follows: P. violaceum, P. candidum, P. purpureum, D. brefeldianum, D. minutum, D. delicatm, D. crassicaule, D. macrocephalum, D. firmibasis, D. polycephalum and D. implicatum. The dorminant species was D. brefeldinum. D. delicatum, D. implicatum, D. polycephalum and P. candidum of them were isolated rarely in Korea. It can be thought that these results were caused by characteristics of forest zone and geographical condition which Mt. Seorak is located at east side of central areas of Korea.

  • As a result of industrial advancement and land development, a number of highway slopes have been gradually formed and numerous problems related to their stability have been frequently caused. Generally, major factors for rock slope stability are lithology, slope inclination, slope height, degree of weathering, precipitation, condition of groundwater and so onl. Many complex factors are mostly involved in the collapse of rock slopes. In this study, a database for 94 collapsed Jungang highway slopes were set up using GIS program through literature search, site investigation, geological map and Korea tectonic province map. The analyses for the collapsed factor including sort of rock(by origin), tectonic province, highway direction, slope gradient and direction, degree of weathering, slope height were carried.

  • The present study analyzed data from 417 grandchildren in the fifth grade of the elementary school with regard to patterns of contact and the content and the level of grandmothers role performance. Major findings were as follows; 1) The most frequent of association occuring between grandmothers and grandchildren was telephoning, next visiting and writing. The mothers, attitude and geographical proximity were consistently related to the level of the contact between grandmothers and grandchildren. 2) The family type, the attitude of the mothers and the health condition of grandmothers were related to the level of the grandmothers role performance. The role of the grandmothers consists with six dimensions of discipliner, surrogate parenting, interference, historical and sex role adviser, confidant and material provider.

  • The proposed offshore wind farm projects, i.e., Mooudo offshore, Yeonggwang-Gochang offshore, Saemangeum offshore, Imjado offshore and Gadeokdo-Dadeapo offshore, were compared and analyzed using the Korea National Wind Mapand Wind Farm Suitability Assessment System developed by the Korea Institute of Energy Research. The suitability of the proposed areas was comprehensively assessed using geographic, economic constraints, wave condition and wind resource factors, but the focus of this paper was on the geographic constraints and wave conditions. Imjado had several geographical constraints, despite having a good wind power density, while Saemangeum had a relatively low wave height, shallow water depth, close substation and slow tidal current. It is anticipating that the present comparison and analysis could be used as reference guidelines when selecting and preparing the design of large-scale offshore wind farm in the near future.

  • This paper aims to design and analyze the stationary fixture type automatic rotary drilling machine and estimate the safety of the machine through simulations. Working conditions of typical rock excavating machines are mostly affected by geographical conditions on the sea, such as by the ebb and flow of the tide or high waves. Due to the size of machines, it is difficult to move and install machines. So it is necessary to develop a machine that not only can be moved and installed more easily also be operated more quickly and automatically. To validate the safety of the designed structure of the machine, static analysis has been carried out. The results of stress and deformation analysises show that the designed machine is stable and safe in hard working condition.
