A novel route restoring method upon geo-tagged photos

  • Sharing geo-tagged photos has been a hot social activity in the daily life because these photos not only contain geo information but also indicate people's hobbies, intention and mobility patterns. However, the present raw geo-tagged photo routes cannot provide information as enough as complete GPS trajectories due to the defects hidden in them. This paper mainly aims at analyzing the large amounts of geo-tagged photos and proposing a novel travel route restoring method. In our approach we first propose an Interest Measure Ratio to rank the hot spots based on density-based spatial clustering arithmetic. Then we apply the Hidden Semi-Markov model and Mean Value method to demonstrate migration discipline in the hot spots and restore the significant region sequence into complete GPS trajectory. At the end of the paper, a novel experiment method is designed to demonstrate that the approach is feasible in restoring route, and there is a good performance.

  • 인터넷이 등장하고 대중화되면서 웹 1.0의 개념에서 웹 2.0을 지나 웹 3.0을 바라보고 있다. 이러한 웹의 발전 과정에서 시맨틱 웹이 등장하게 되었고 시맨틱 웹이 GIS와 접목되어 시맨틱 GIS가 등장하게 되었다. 기존 GIS 시스템에서는 사용자들이 국한된 정보만을 제공받아 왔지만 웹이 발전하고 수많은 컨텐츠가 생성되면서 웹의 데이터를 GIS와 연결시켜서 사용자에게 풍부한 정보를 제공 할 수 있는 시스템이 연구, 개발되고 있다. 하지만 기존 연구들은 Learning 및 Population 기법 부재로 인하여 시맨틱 웹에서 지향하는 풍부한 서비스 제공에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 Learning 및 Population 기법을 통해 웹으로부터 비공간 정보를 추출하여 서비스 할 수 있는 시맨틱 GIS 시스템 모델을 설계한다. 이 구현 모델의 기대효과로 사용자는 구현 될 시스템을 사용하여 특정 공간에 대한 비공간 정보들을 웹으로부터 수집하여 사용자에게 풍부한 정보를 제공할 수 있다.

Geo-statistical Analysis of Growth Variability in Rice Paddy Field (벼 재배 포장 생육변이의 공간통계학적 해석)

  • To obtain basic information for precision agriculture, spatial variability of rice growth condition was evaluated in 100m ${\times}$100m paddy field. The rice growth condition of four hundred locations in the field were investigated to analyze the spatial variability of their properties ; SPAD, plant length and tiller number. Geostatistical analysis was carried out to examine within-field spatial variability using semivariograms and kriged maps as well as descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics showed that the coefficient of variation for SPAD, plant length, and tiller number exceeded 5.70 %, suggesting a relatively high variability. Geostatistical analysis indicated a high spatial dependence for all the properties except for the second tiller number. The range of spatial dependence was about 20 m for SPAD, plant length, and tiller number. Based on the results of spatial dependence, kriged maps were prepared for the properties to analyse their spatial distribution in the field. The results reflected the history of field management. In conclusion, the need for site-specific field management and possibility of precision agriculture were demonstrated even in an almost flat paddy field.

  • 현재 웹은 단순히 정보를 수집하여 제공하던 웹 1.0을 지나 정보의 사용자가 곧 생산자가 되어 개방된 웹 환경을 기반으로 사용자 스스로 콘텐츠를 제작, 재창조, 공유하는 인터넷 서비스 모델인 웹 2.0으로 발전하였다. 이러한 웹의 발전 과정에서 시맨틱 웹이 등장하게 되었고 시맨틱 웹이 지리 정보와 접목되어 시맨틱 지리 정보 시스템이 등장하게 되었다. 기존 지리 정보 시스템에서는 사용자들이 국한된 정보만을 제공받아 왔지만 웹이 발전하고 수많은 콘텐츠가 생성되면서 웹의 데이터를 지리 정보 시스템과 연결시켜서 사용자에게 풍부한 정보를 제공 할 수 있는 시스템이 연구, 개발되고 있다. 하지만 기존 연구들은 사용자가 시스템에 접속하여 비공간 정보를 입력해야 하는 특정 시스템에 종속적이라는 단점을 가지고 있어 시맨틱 웹에서 지향하는 풍부한 서비스 제공에 어려움을 격고 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 웹 자원을 정의된 지리정보 온톨로지(Geo-Ontology)의 인스턴스로 추가하여 지리 정보 시스템의 비공간 정보를 확장함으로써 특정 시스템에 종속적이지 않고 사용자에게 보다 풍부한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 모델을 제안하고 프로토타입을 구현한다.

Selection of Optimum Fulcrum Type for Measurement and Geo-statistical Analyze of Elevation within Rice Paddy Field (수도작 포장의 고저차 측정을 위한 최적 받침대 선정)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the specificities of four fulcrum types for geo-statistical analysis of elevation within rice paddy field. In Korea, the spaces between inter-rows and between hills for rice transplanting are 30cm and 11cm to 14cm, respectively. So, the size and shape of fulcrum for field elevation measurement should be considered according to the inter-row and the hill spaces. Four kinds of fulcrum were chosen such as round-shape with 2.5cm diameter, circular-shape with 10cm diameter, 10cm (one third of inter-row space) by 24cm (double of hill space) rectangular-shape, and 20cm (two-thirds of inter-row space) by 24cm rectangular-shape. The resulting descriptive statistics couldn't determine the best fulcrum type to measure the rice paddy field elevation. But the results of geo-statistical analysis could determine the best fulcrum type. In the case of 10cm by 24cm rectangular-shape fulcrum, Nugget and range, meaning measurement error and/or noise, and limit of spatial connection, respectively, were minimum; Q value meaning weight of spatial structure and $r^2$ value were minimum, and residual sum of squares was minimum. It means that 10cm by 24 cm rectangular-shape fulcrum could best describe the rice paddy field elevation.

A study for Build the Concept Image about Natural Logarithm under GeoGebra Environment (GeoGebra 환경에서 정적분을 이용한 자연로그의 개념이미지 형성 학습 개선방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the way to build the concept image about natural logarithm and the method is using definite integral in calculus under GeoGebra environment. When the students approach to natural logarithm, need to use dynamic program about the definite integral in calculus. Visible reasoning process through using dynamic program(GeoGebra) is the most important part that make the concept image to students. Also, for understand mathematical concept to students, using GeoGebra environment in dynamic program is not only useful but helpful method of teaching and studying. In this article, about graph of natural logarithm using the definite integral, to explore process of understand and to find special feature under GeoGebra environment. And it was obtained from a survey of undergraduate students of mathmatics. Also, relate to this process, examine an aspect of students, how understand about connection between natural logarithm and the definite integral, definition of natural logarithm and mathematical link of e. As a result, we found that undergraduate students of mathmatics can understand clearly more about the graph of natural logarithm using the definite integral when using GeoGebra environment. Futhermore, in process of handling the dynamic program that provide opportunity that to observe and analysis about process for problem solving and real concept of mathematics.

Cross Platform Data Analysis in Microarray Experiment (서로 다른 플랫폼의 마이크로어레이 연구 통합 분석)

  • With the rapid accumulation of microarray data, it is a significant challenge to integrate available data sets addressing the same biological questions that can provide more samples and better experimental results. Sometimes, different microarray platforms make it difficult to effectively integrate data from several studies and there is no consensus on which method is the best to produce a single and unified data set. Methods using median rank score, quantile discretization and standardization (which directly combine rescaled gene expression values) and meta-analysis (which combine the results of individual studies at the interpretative level) are reviewed. Real data examples downloaded from GEO are used to compare the performance of these methods and to evaluate if the combined data set detects more reliable information from the separated data sets or not.

  • 네이버, 다음, 구글 등의 웹 상에서 제공하는 지도 서비스와 KML, GML, GeoRSS와 같은 기술들을 이용하여 하나의 위치 정보로 통합한 지리정보를 사용자에게 제공해 줄 수 있는 연구들은 현재까지 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 연구들은 위치 정보만 통하여 줄 뿐 의미 정보까지 통합하여 사용자들에게 다양한 정보들을 제공해주지 못한다. 이 논문에서는 KML, GML, GeoRSS 등으로 표현된 풍부한 지리정보들을 통합하여 웹 기반 지도 서비스에 제공해주는 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 지리정보들의 스키마 통합을 위해 어댑터 기반 의미 처리 방법과 정적/동적 의미 관리 기반 접근 방법을 혼합한 하이브리드 스키마 매칭(Hybrid Schema Matching, HSM) 방법을 제안하고, 제안 시스템의 평가를 위해 스키마 매칭을 위한 4가지 접근 방법과 비교 평가를 수행한다. 평가의 결과로 제안 시스템은 의미 해석에 대한 신뢰성이 보장되고 시스템 구축 비용과 데이터 통합 비용이 상대적으로 낮다는 특징을 지닌다.

Application of Geo-Statistic and Data-Mining for Determining Sampling Number and Interval for Monitoring Microbial Diversity in Tidal Mudflat (갯벌 미생물 다양성 모니터링 시료 채취 개수 및 간격 선정을 위한 지구통계학적 기법과 데이터 마이닝 적용 연구)

  • Tidal mudflat is a reservoir for diverse microbial resources. Microbial diversity in tidal mudflat sediment can be easily influenced by various human activities. It is necessary to take representative samples to monitor microbial diversity in tidal mudflat sediments. In this study, we analyzed the microbial diversity and chemical characteristics of vegetation and non-vegetation tidal mudflat regions in the Kangwha tidal mudflat using geo-statistics and data-mining. According to the geo-statistical analysis, most correlation range values for the vegetation region were smaller than those for the non-vegetation region, which suggested that the shorter number and interval of sampling are required for the vegetation tidal mudflat environment due to its higher degree of chemical and biological complexity and heterogeneity. The data-mining analysis suggested that the organic content and nitrate were the major environmental factors influencing microbial diversity in the vegetation region while pH and sulfate were the major influencing factors in the non-vegetation region. Using the geo-statistical and data-mining integration approach, we proposed a guideline for determining the sampling interval and number to monitor microbial diversity in tidal mudflat.

A Study on the Improvement of Sampling Rate of Performance Test in Public Survey (공공측량 성과심사에서 심사비율 개선을 위한 연구)

  • The performance test in a public survey is conducted by a sample survey and the sampling rate of the performance test is a very important factor in the test process. Since the current sampling rate was decided empirically at an earlier time, it has been criticized for two points: the first is that it has a lack of a theoretical background on the decision for the sampling rate and the second is that the sampling rate should be improved in accordance with current test situations. In this paper, we review the present state of performance tests in public surveys in Korea and study the relationship between the rate of the performance test and fitness probability, number of tests, and the success rate in order to create a theoretical background to improve the test rate. In addition, we discuss relationship between the test rate and cost in the performance test.
