유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 사면안정해석의 일반화 해법 (Generalized Solution Procedure for Slope Stability Analysis Using Genetic Algorithm)

  • 이 논문에서는 사면 안정 해석시 경사 절편법을 이용하여 안전율을 구하며 유전자 알고리즘방법을 이용하여 한계파괴면을 결정하는 이론을 제안하였다. 해석방법에서는 한계 전단 파괴면과 안전율을 찾고 비선형 평형 방정식의 해를 구하기 위해 구속 최적화 문제로 간주하여 해석을 수행하였다. 유전자 알고리즘 방법의 효율성을 검증하기 위하여 예제를 논문에 포함하였다. 유전자 알고리즘 방법에 의하여 도출된 사면 안정 해석결과는 기존방법에 비하여 우수한 것으로 판명되었다.

  • Myocarditis represent an important condition encountered by general pediatricians & general practitioners. Its presentation is varied, and therefore a high index of suspicion must be maintained when the possibility of myocarditis is raised. A progression from viral myocarditis to dilated cardiomyopathy has long been hypothesized. Treatment is initially aimed at achieving hemodynamic stability and is largely supportive. There is currently little evidence to support the immunomodulatory or specific antiviral therapies. Pediatric cardiomyopathies are a heterogeneous group of disorders with diverse genetic, infectious, mitochodrial and metabolic etiologies. The timing and severity of presentation vary according to cardiomyopathy type as well as genetic and ethnic factors. The behavior of specific cardiomyopathies can be predicted by morphological and functional attributes, as well as underlying patient characteristics.

굴곡진 지형에 대한 CPG 및 GA 결합 기반 적응적인 휴머노이드 보행 기법 (A Combined CPG and GA Based Adaptive Humanoid Walking for Rolling Terrains)

  • A combined CPG (Central Pattern Generator) based foot trajectory and GA (Genetic Algorithm) based joint compensation method is presented for adaptive humanoid walking. In order to increase an adaptability of humanoid walking for rough terrains, the experiment for rolling terrains are introduced. The CPG based foot trajectory method has been successfully applied to basic slops and variable slops, but has a limitation for the rolling terrains. The experiments are conducted in an ODE based Webots simulation environment using humanoid robot Nao to verify a stability of walking for various rolling terrains. The proposed method is compared to the previous CPG foot trajectory technique and shows better performance especially for the cascade rolling terrains.

  • The biotechnology including genetic engineering is expected to be applied to various fields of wastewater treatments in order to promote biological reaction rate, to grade up the effluent quality and to advance the stability of microorganisms against temperature, pH and toxic substances. The current topics in Japan on application of biotechnology to wastewater treatment will be reviewed at the beginning of the presentation. Next, the research of Biochemical Engineering Laboratory is to be presented, especially focused on the following subjects ; (1) Application of genetic engineering to the investiation of heavy metal uptake by the resistant bacteria of Hg Cd or Zn. (2) Relationship between sulfate reducing bacteria and wastewater treatment, offensive odor and corrosion of sewer tranks.

  • The power flow calculations(PFc) are the most important and powerful tools in power systems engineering. The conventional power flow problem is solved generally with numerical methods such as Newton-Raphson(NR). The conventional numerical method generally have some convergency problem, which is sensitive to initial value, and numerical stability problem concerned with jacobian matrix inversion. This paper presents a new PFc algorithm based on the improved genetic algorithm (IGA) which can overcome the disadvantages mentioned above. The parameters of GA, with dynamical hierarchy of the coding system, are improved to make GA a practical algorithm in the problem of real system. Some case studies with test bus system also present to show the performance of proposed algorithm. The results of proposed algorithm are compared with the results of PFc obtained using a conventional NR method.

Improvement on Sensorless Vector Control Performance of PMSM with Sliding Mode Observer

  • This paper proposes improvement on sensorless vector control performance of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with sliding mode observer. An adaptive observer gain and second order cascade low-pass filter (LPF) were used to improve the estimation accuracy of the rotor position and speed. The adaptive observer gain was applied to suppress the chattering intensity and obtained by using the Lyapunov's stability criterion. The second order cascade LPF was designed for the system to escalate the filtering performance of the back-emf estimation. Furthermore, genetic algorithm was used to optimize the system PI controller's performance. Simulation results showed the effectiveness of the suggested improvement strategy. Moreover, the strategy was useful for the sensorless vector control of PMSM to operate on the low-speed area.

  • In this paper, a humanoid robot is simulated and implemented to walk up a staircase using the blending polynomial and genetic algorithm. Using recently developed kinematics for a biped robot, four schemes for walking up a staircase are newly proposed and simulated separately. For the two schemes of landing a swaying leg on the upper stair, the joint trajectories of seven motors are particularly optimized to generate an energy-minimal motion with the guarantee of walking stability. The proposed scheme of walking upstair is validated by an experiment with a small humanoid robot.

FRP 바닥판의 최적설계 (Optimal Design of FRP Bridge Decks)

  • Although FRP is relatively new material for constructional use, there are several commercial GFRP bridge decks available today. In this paper we first set variables which decide the design of a GFRP deck based on commercial products. Under the assumption of linear elastic behavior under DB24 load, all the conditions of stability and serviceability are considered. We seek the best solution which minimizes the cross section area using genetic algorithm. The optimal solution shows that the shape is close to the ASSET deck with larger angle of the web and smaller area.

전분발효 효모에서의 외래 $\alpha$-Amylase 유전자의 세포분열시 안정성 증진 (Mitotic Stability of Heterologous $\alpha$-Amylase Gene in Starch-Fermenting Yeast)

  • ${\alpha}$-Amylase와 glucoamylase를 동시에 안정하게 분비하여 전분을 일단계로 직접 에탄올로 발효시킬수 있는 효모 균주를 개발하기 위하여 glucoamylase를 분비하는 Saccharomyces diastaticus hybrid 균주에 쥐의 침샘 유래의 ${\alpha}$-amylase cDNA 유전자를 plasmid vector를 이용하여 도입하였다. 이 균주로부터 효소생산에 필요한 유전자를 잃어버림이 없이 안정하게 분비할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 $\alpha$-amylase 유전자를 효모의 염색체에 삽입시키기 위한 integrating plasmid vector인 YIpMS$\Delta$R(LEU2)를 제작하였다. 이 vector의 효모형질전환에 있어 원형(circular)상태와 제한 효소 XbaI으로 처리된 직선화된(linearized) 상태의 두가지 형태를 비교한 결과 형질전환 효율에서나 형질전환체내의 $\alpha$-amylase 유전자 보유정도가 모두 직선화된 형태의 경우가 원형상태의 경우보다 높았다. Linearized vecotr를 가진 효모 형질전환체에서의 유전자 발현 안정도는 세포분열을 거듭할수록 episomal vecotr에 의한 효모 형질전환체에서의 발현 안정도보다 우수하게 나타났다. 또한 이 linearized vector를 가진 형질전환체는 $\alpha$-amylase와 glucoamylase를 동시에 분비하여 glucoamylase만 분비하는 원균주보다 2배 이상의 전분분해력을 보였다.
