가정용 흡수식 냉난방기 개발을 위한 재생기 성능실험 (Performance Experiment of Generator for Household Absorption Chiller and Heater)

  • Recently, the markets of the air conditioner are enlarging. The market size will reach 2.0 billion won in 2000. Electric heat pumps have been utilized as main residential air conditioners. especially in Korea. They cause a surge up electric power demand during summer. Moreover, the use of HCFCs and HFCs causes serious problem to the global environment such as global warming and ozone layer destruction. Absorption chiller and heater could solve such problems. It was built and tested for analyzing the performance of the generator for absorption chiller and heater. Experiment was done with a high temperature generator, a low temperature generator, heat exchangers, a condenser and a solution tank. It was tested that the double effect series flow cycle with two kinds of solution cycle. Solution cycle B showed better than solution cycle A. Two kinds of heat exchanger were used, where one's heat transfer area is bigger than the other. Bigger one increased a little performance of absorption chiller and heater. But it was not economical. From this study, we got that the coefficient of performance(COP) is 0.82 and the capacity is 7.24 kW for an absorption chiller and heater.

자동차 냉각수 폐열회수 열전발전 시스템의 성능에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermoelectric Generator Performance for Waste Coolant Recovery Systems in Vehicles)

  • This study indicated the possibility of energy regeneration from waste coolant heat, by using thermoelectric generation integrated with heat pipe. The internal combustion engine rejects more than 60% wasteful energy to the atmosphere by heat. The thermoelectric generator has recently been studied, to convert the energy from engine waste heat into electricity. For coolant waste heat recovery, a thermoelectric generator was investigated, to find out the possibility of vehicular application. Performance characteristics were conducted with various test conditions of coolant temperature, coolant mass flow rate, air temperature, and air velocity, with the thermoelectric generator installed either horizontally or vertically. Experimental results show that the electric power and conversion efficiency increases according to the temperature difference between the hot and cold side of the thermoelectric generator, and the coolant flow rate of the hot side heat exchanger. Performance improvement can be expected by optimizing the heat pipe design.

한국표준형 원전 제어봉구동장치 전원공급계통의 전동발전기 세트 안정성 개선 (Improving Stability of Motor Generator Set of the Power Supply System for CEDM in Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plants)

  • This paper analyzed a root cause of abnormality in the temperature and vibration at generator-side bearing of motor generator set (MG Set), which is a power supply system to control element drive mechanism (CEDM) of nuclear power plants (NPPs), and modified the design of roller-type and sealing method to improve the abnormalities. From the inspection of MG Set and analysis of temperature variation during service, it was found that the abnormal temperature transition was basically associated with original design of generator-side bearing, whose roller was axially restrained by inner race, and that the abnormal vibration level was caused by inserting small chips of cage and V-ring, which were generated due to the abnormal temperature transition at roller bearing. Type of bearing and sealing method were modified based on these analyses. The temperature and vibration level measured at roller bearing showed that the modifications clearly improved the operational stability of MG Set.

분류식 습도 발생 장치 개발 및 라디오존데 습도센서 저온 효과 보정에 활용 연구 (Development of a divided-flow humidity generator and its use for studying low-temperature effects on radiosonde humidity sensors)

  • Humidity is an important physical quantity that is closely related with the quality of everyday life as well as the quality control of products in various industries. Here, we have developed a divided-flow type humidity generator of which humidity generation is faster than the saturator-based humidity generator in ppm level. The operation principle of the divided-flow humidity generator is first introduced. Then, the performance of the divided-flow humidity generator is verified by testing the radiosonde humidity sensor at low temperature. As a result, the humidity generated from the divided-flow humidity generator is consistent with the saturator-based precision humidity generator within 1.6% relative humidity in the range from 10% to 40% at -45 ℃. It is also found that the radiosonde humidity sensor shows measurement errors by 3% - 5% at -45 ℃ when it is only calibrated at room temperature. The response times of radiosonde humidity sensor using the divided-flow humidity generator are between about 2 and 9 minutes, whereas those by the saturator-based humidity generator are about 20 minutes. In this regard, the divided-flow humidity generator has a merit in terms of fast humidity changes for the calibration of radiosonde humidity sensors at low-temperatures.

혼합식 가스발생기의 연료과농 연소특성 (Fuel-Rich Combustion Characteristic of a Combined Gas Generator)

  • 본 논문은 하이브리드 로켓 성능향상을 위하여 가스발생기형과 후방 연소형 개념을 결합한 혼합형 하이브리드 로켓을 제안하고 있다. 특히 고체 추진제를 사용하는 기존의 가스발생기와 달리, 고체연료와 액체/기체 산화제를 적용한 혼합식 가스발생기를 제안하였으며 혼합식 가스발생기의 연료과농 연소특성을 확인하기 위하여 연료 길이, 산화제 유량, 연료 내경 그리고 연료 종류를 변화하며 연소가스 온도 변화를 측정하였다. 그러나 이들 인자 변화에 의한 온도변화가 매우 제한적이므로 또 다른 인자로 $O_2$$N_2$를 혼합한 혼합산화제를 사용하였다. 이때 가스발생기의 연소가스 온도의 요구조건은 1600 K이하로 설정하였으며 연소 시험에서 혼합식 가스발생기는 온도조건을 만족하는 연료과농 연소가스가 생성되었음을 확인하였다. 그러나 온도에 따른 검댕의 발생특성과 다른 이전 연구들에서 제시하는 가스발생기 연소가스 온도 요구조건이 1200 K이하임을 고려할 때, 최종적으로 이 조건을 만족하는 연료과농 연소가스를 생성할 계획이다.

Two-dimensional Numerical Simulation of a Pulsed Heat Source High Temperature Inert Gas Plasma MHD Electrical Power Generator

  • Performance of a pulsed heat source high temperature inert gas plasma MHD electrical power generator, which can be one of the candidates of space-based laser-to-electrical power converter, is examined by a time dependent two dimensional numerical simulation. In the present MHD generator, the inert gas is assumed to be ideally heated to about $10^4K$ pulsed-likely within short time(${\sim}1{\mu}s$) in a stagnant energy input volume, and the energy of high temperature inert gas is converted to the electricity with the medium of pure inert gas plasma without seeding. The numerical simulation results show that an enthalpy extraction ratio(=electrical output energy/pulsed heat energy) of several tens of % can be achieved, which is the same level as the conventional seeded non-equilibrium plasma MHD generator. Although there still exist many phenomena to be clarified and many problems to be overcome in order to realize the system, the pulsed heat source high temperature inert gas MHD generator is surely worth examining in more detail.

  • A generator-GAX combined rectification system of an ammonia absorption heat pump was investigated to get the optimum design values. The mass and heat transfer phenomena of the rectification system were analysed. The number of column plates, equilibrium temperature of solution on each plate and flow rates of solution and vapor generated were predicted. The characteristics of mass and heat transfer of the generator-GAX combined rectification system, i.e. concentration difference of leaving solution and vapor on each column plate, were found to be mainly governed by the pressure of generator, reflex ratio and temperature difference of analyser coolant. The number of rectification column plates for each different pressure in generator was obtained. The optimum locations for installing the feeder from solution-cooled absorber and GAX desorber in generator were predicted. The improvement of COP was followed by the increase of the rectifier efficiency and the number of column plate, and the decrease of reflex ratio.

X-밴드 고조파 발생기의 구현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Realization of X-Band Harmonic Generator)

  • In order to realize an efficient and stable X-band harmonic generator, a 100 MHz frequency multiplier, an impulse generator using SRD(Step Recovery Diode) module, and a narrow-band bandpass waveguide filter have been designed and tested. By properly combining these devices an X-band harmonic generator has been realized. The output power of the harmonic generator was measured to be -1.5 dBm at 9 GHz which is the 90th harmonic of the 100MHz input. The power fluctuation of the harmonic generator due to temperature variation was observed to the about 0.15 dB during 24 hours of 4\ulcorner temperature variation.

저압 SCR을 위한 디젤발전기 배기가스 온도 변화 (Temperature Variation of Exhaust Gas in Diesel Generator for Low Pressure SCR)

  • L.P SCR의 촉매 반응을 위해 선박의 발전기용 4행정 디젤엔진의 배기가스 온도를 높게 설계 할 수밖에 없었다. 본 연구의 목적은 밸브개폐시기와 연료분사시기를 조정을 통한 배기가스의 온도 감소가 L.P SCR의 운전조건을 만족시키고 고온으로 인한 발전기 엔진의 사고를 예방하기 위함이었다. 배기가스 온도를 하강시키기 위해 캠샤프트의 각도를 조정하고 연료분사펌프의 Shim을 추가하였다. 그 결과 최대폭발압력은 12.8 bar 증가하였고 터보차저 출구온도 평균값은 13.3 ℃ 하강하였다. 터보차저 출구에서 SCR 입구까지의 열손실을 감안하더라도 L.P SCR 운전조건인 SCR 챔버 입구 온도인 290 ℃를 만족하였다. 배기가스 온도 하강을 통해 디젤발전기의 안전운전이 가능하게 한 연구였다.
