  • In competitive electricity markets, maintenance schedule is submitted by generation companies (GENCOs) and transmission companies (TRANSCOs), and coordinated by Independent System Operator (ISO) with the adequacy criterion. This paper presents an alternative coordination procedure by ISO on the maintenance schedule. In this paper, it is focused on modeling a coordination algorithm by ISO for the maintenance schedule based on the Simulated Annealing algorithm. The proposed model employs the minimum information such as generator capacity, forced outage rate and generator maintenance schedules. The objective function of this model represents minimization of adjustment on schedules submitted by GENCOs.

  • The Maintenance scheduling is one of the mid-term scheduling problems systems. There have been many methods for this problem, but there is no effective way to treat all the generators simultaneously. In this paper, we apply a genetic algorithm(GA) to the maintenance scheduling problem. We proposed new crossover operators(BOX type crossover) to improve searching ability of GA. Satisfactory results are obtained by GA with the proposed corssover operators.

  • 본 연구에서는 발전기 보수유지계획 수립을 위하여 퍼지 다목적함수를 이용한 새로은 방법을 제시한다. 보수유지 지연비용의 최소화의 발전기 공급예비력의 최대화를 퍼지 다목적함수로 삼았다. 퍼지론적인 환경을 갖는 보수유지계획의 최적점을 구하기 위하여 퍼지 다목적 정수계획법을 이용하였다. 본 연구의 중요 특성은 기존의 불확실성을 갖는 크리스프적인 제약조건을 퍼지제약으로 처리함으로써 보다 유연한 해를 구할 수 있다는 점이다. 모델계통에 대한 사례연구를 통하여 이번에 개발한 수법의 효용성을 보였다.

  • 발전기의 보수계획은 전력계통의 공급신뢰도를 평가하는데 중요한 영향을 미치는 변수이다. 발전기는 반드시 검사와 보수를 해야 하기 때문에, 운전계획을 세울 때 한해의 발전기 정지계획을 고려하여 정해야 한다. 이러한 보수계획을 수립할 대에는 계절적 부하수요특징, 보수용량, 발전기 용량, 지난번 보수로부터의 경과시간 등의 여러 가지 요인들을 고려해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 발전기 보수계획 프로그램중 실용적인 방법으로 알려져 있는 LOLP(Loss of Load Probability) 평활화법을 이용하여 각 연도별 공급신뢰도를 최대로 하여 고려대상 기간 전체의 공급신뢰도를 향상시키는 보수계획 수립 알고리즘을 제안한다. 즉, 전력계통의 더 좋은 신뢰도를 얻기 위하여 전체 기간에 대한 신뢰도가 평활화되도록 보수시기를 변경하였다. 제안한 알고리즘을 실계통에 적용하여 그 유용성을 검증하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish a new optimum Generator Maintenance Scheduling(GMS) considering renewable energy generator. In this paper, the total renewable energy generation is estimated using hourly capacity factor of renewable energy generator. The GMS was optimized with the objective function of maximizing the minimum reserve rate, minimizing the probabilistic production cost, minimizing the loss of load expectation, and minimizing $CO_2$ emissions. In the case study of this paper, GMS considering renewable energy and GMS not considering renewable energy are shown by each objective function. And it shows scenarios of the reliability, the environmental and economical factors when two nuclear power plants inputted and ten coal thermal power plants shut downed respectively.

  • A new technique using search method based on fuzzy multi-criteria function is proposed fur flexible generator maintenance scheduling. Minimization of probabilistic production cost, maximization of system reliability level and air pollution are considered fur fuzzy multi-criteria function. To obtain an optimal solution for generator maintenance scheduling under fuzzy environment fuzzy multi-criteria relaxation method(fuzzy search method) is used. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by the simulation results of the real size model system of KEPCO-1997 SYSTEM.

  • Genetic Algorithm is a kind of an evolution programming based on natural evolution principle. It applied to probabilistic searching, machine learning and optimization, and many good results were reported. Generator maintenance scheduling is an optimization Problem with constraints. This paper applied a genetic algorithm to generator maintenance scheduling problem and tested on sample systems. The results are compared with heuristic method and branch-and-bound method.

  • This paper proposes establishment of generator maintenance scheduling(GMS) considering minimization of $CO_2$ emissions. The objective function model to minimize $CO_2$ emissions is used in this paper. In this paper, and also, GMS is established due to freedom of GMS of generators owned by a designated generation company. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system model in Korea in 2010.

  • This paper presents development of program for generator maintenance scheduling. The maintenance scheduling of generating units is a dynamic discrete combinatorial optimization problem with constraints to determine the optimal maintenance periods of each generating units for a given planning periods. The developed program is designed so as to provide the maintenance schedule satisfying the operating reserve margin levelization and the procurement of proper reliability. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed program, the numerical study has been performed with the practical data in 2005.
