The first purpose of this study is to inquire into the effect of new generation housewives'etiquette awareness on their etiquette implementation. For this purpose, this study will search the levels of new generation housewives'etiquette awareness and etiquette implementation, how the etiquette awareness and etiquette implementation vary according to their background variables, and the effect of new generation housewives'etiquette awareness as well as the background variables on their etiquette implementation. The major findings are as follows . First, the level of etiquette awareness was somewhat higher than that of etiquette implementation. Second, generally, their etiquette awareness didn't show a significant difference by the socio-demographic variables, but showed a significant difference by the psychological variables including communication level and humanism/materialism value orientation. Third, new generation housewives'etiquette implementation showed a significant difference only by monthly income like etiquette awareness. Meanwhile, as the psychological variables, etiquette implementation showed a significant difference by all Psychological variables except sex-role attitude. fourth, according to result of looking into relative influence of socio-demographic variables, psychological variables, and etiquette awareness about etiquette implementation, etiquette awareness was a significant variable which affects etiquette implementation.
Recently, great efforts are concentrated on the autonomous, adaptive protection schemes with advanced artificial intelligence and digital technology. It is highly required for a next generation protective system not only to detect and to clear a fault, but also to fit itself to the changing environment. In this paper it is suggested an evaluation method for the protection ability of a protective system in a distributed system. The suggested method is of bottom-up scheme, in other words, protection ability is estimated from the lowest level of parameters in each protective devices to the highest level of the whole protective system. This feature makes it possible to evaluate the protection ability either for the protective device(or a system), or for a protected system. And, in addition, it is enabled that the protectability concept can be applied in the design stage of a protective system for a distribution network. The proposed method is applied to a simple distributed network to show its effectiveness.

Long-term experiments have been conducted on two important safety issues: long-term durability of a concrete barrier with the steel reinforcements and gas generation from low-and intermediate-level wastes in an underground research tunnel of a radioactive waste disposal facility. The gas generation and microbial communities were monitored from waste packages (200 L and 320 L) containing simulated dry active wastes. In the concrete experiment, corrosion sensors were installed on the steel reinforcements which were embedded 10 cm below the surface of concrete in a concrete mock-up, and groundwater was fed into the mock-up at a pressure of 2.1 bars to accelerate groundwater infiltration. No clear evidence was observed with respect to corrosion initiation of the steel reinforcement for 4 years of operation. This is attributed to the high integrity and low hydraulic conductivity of the concrete. In the gas generation experiment, significant levels of gas generation were not measured for 4 years. These experiments are expected to be conducted for a period of more than 10 years.
In this paper, we have presented a test- ing method for a kind of asynchronous circuits. Tar- get circuit model is the 3D machine that is one of the most successful implementation of extended burst-mode (XBM) machines. We present a high-level test generation method for the 3D machine using the specification of the circuit. We also present a gate-level test pattern generation method using a synchronous test pattern generator. Experimental results show that the combination of the above two methods achieves high fault coverage over 3D machines and saves test generation time.

The electric marketplace is in the midst of major changes designed to promote competition. No longer vertically integrated with guaranteed customers and suppliers, electric generators and distributors will have to compete to sell and buy electricity. Unit commitment (UC) in such a competitive environment is not the same as the traditional one anymore. The objective of UC is not to minimize production cost as before but to find the solution that produces a maximum profit for a generation firm. This paper presents a hi-level formulation that decomposes the UC game into a generation-decision game (first level game) and a state(on/off)-decision game (second level game). Derivation that the first-level game has a pure Cournot Nash equilibrium(NE) helps to solve the second-level game. In case of having a mixed NE in the second-level game, this paper chooses a pure strategy having maximum probability in the mixed strategy in order to obviate the probabilistic on/off state which may be infeasible. Simulation results shows that proposed method gives the adequate UC solutions corresponding to a NE.

This paper introduces the first vital area identification (VAI) process for the physical protection of nuclear power plants (NPPs) during low power and shutdown (LPSD) operation. This LPSD VAI is based on the 3rd generation VAI method which very efficiently utilizes probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) event trees (ETs). This LPSD VAI process was implemented to the virtual NPP during LPSD operation in this study. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) had developed the 2nd generation full power VAI method that utilizes whole internal and external (fire and flooding) PSA results of NPPs during full power operation. In order to minimize the huge burden of the 2nd generation full power VAI method, the 3rd generation full power VAI method was developed, which utilizes ETs and minimal PSA fault trees instead of using the whole PSA fault tree. In the 3rd generation full power VAI method, (1) PSA ETs are analyzed, (2) minimal mitigation systems for avoiding core damage are selected from ETs by calculating system-level target sets and prevention sets, (3) relatively small sabotage fault tree that has the systems in the shortest system-level prevention set is composed, (4) room-level target sets and prevention sets are calculated from this small sabotage fault tree, and (5) the rooms in the shortest prevention set are defined as vital areas that should be protected. Currently, the 3rd generation full power VAI method is being employed for the VAI of Korean NPPs. This study is the first development and application of the 3rd generation VAI method to the LPSD VAI of NPP. For the LPSD VAI, (1) many LPSD ETs are classified into a few representative LPSD ETs based on the functional similarity of accident scenarios, (2) a few representative LPSD ETs are simplified with some VAI rules, and then (3) the 3rd generation VAI is performed as mentioned in the previous paragraph. It is well known that the shortest room-level prevention sets that are calculated by the 2nd and 3rd generation VAI methods are identical.
In this study, we analyzed exhibitions and programs of Daegu National Science Museum in terms of levels of science communication and domains of scientific literacy. Also, we surveyed visitors' perceptions on the exhibitions. As results of analysis on science communication level, 48.3% of exhibitions and programs corresponded to the 1st generation level, 49.0% corresponded to the 2nd generation level, and 2.7% corresponded to the 3rd generation level. In terms of domains of scientific literacy, the contents on 'design world' and 'the nature of technology' got a majority. Also, the results of visitors' perceptions on the exhibitions showed they preferred active exhibitions, that is the 2nd generation. It is recommended to develop more 3rd generation exhibitions and programs based on the paradigm shift about the role of science museums. And it is also recommended to carry out the task to raise consciousness of citizens about scientific literacy and science communication.

Recent development of computing power and theoretical advances in computational fluid dynamics have made possible numerical simulations of water waves with full Navier-Stokes equations. In this study, an internal wave maker using the mass source function approach was combined with the level set finite element method for generation of waves. The model is first applied to the two-dimensional linear wave generation and propagation. Then, it is applied to the three-dimensional simulation of the same problem. To effectively utilize computational resources and enhance the speed of execution, parallel algorithms are developed and applied for the three-dimensional problem. The results of numerical simulations are compared with theoretical values and good agreements are observed.

This paper presents an new algorithm for the economic load dispatch considering the reliability level constraints of composite power system under deregulated electricity market. It is the traditional ELD problem that generation powers have been dispatched In order to minimize total fuel cost subjected to constraints which sum of powers generated must equal the received load and no violating lower and upper limit constraints on generation. Under deregulated electricity market, however, generation powers of a pool have to be reallocated newly in order to satisfy the reliability differentiated level required at a load point because of a reliability differentiated electricity service which is a part of the priority service. In this study, new economic load dispatch algorithm for reallocating the generation powers of a pool in order to satisfy the reliability differentiated level under deregulated competitive electricity market is proposed. The uncertainties of not only generators but also transmission lines are considered fer the reliability evaluation. The characteristics and effectiveness of this methodology are illustrated by the case studies on MRBTS and IEEE-RTS.

Two-level morphology analysis method is one of rule-based morphological analysis method. This approach handles morphological transformation using rules and analyzes words with morpheme connection information in a lexicon. It is independent of language and Korean Two-level system was also developed. But, it was limited in practical use, because of using very small set of lexicon built manually. And it has also a over-generation problem. In this paper, we propose an automatic construction method of Korean Two-level lexicon for PC-KIMMO from morpheme tagged corpus. We also propose a method to solve over-generation problem using lexical information and sub-tags. The experiment showed that the proposed method reduced over-generation by 68% compared with the previous method, and the performance increased from 39% to 65% in f-measure.
