저널베어링으로 지지된 유성기어열의 동특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the dynamic characteristics of an epicyclic gear trains supported with journal bearing)

  • In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of a star type epicyclic gear train have been analyzed. Nonlinear stiffness of a gear pair were obtained considering the bending and shear deformation, Hertz contact deformation, as well as tooth fillet deformation. Nonlinear stiffness coefficients and damping coefficients around the static equilibrium position were obtained by perturbation method. The loci of the planet gears and sun gear were estimated. Tooth meshing forces and bearing reaction forces were calculated. The effects of bearing clearance and oil viscosity on the gear behavior were also analyzed.

주익장착방식의 추진기관 장착설계 (Propulsion Installation Design on Wing-Mounted-Nacelle Type)

  • 이 연구에서는 100인승 항공기 급의 저익-주익장착나셀(wing mounted nacelle)의 추진기관 장착설계 방법을 제시하였다. 장착설계 방법을 구체적으로 설명하기 위해 세부적인 설계제한조건(design constraint)과 설계요구조건(design requirement and objectives)을 정의하고, 그러한 기준을 근거로 실례의 항공기(K100)를 사용하여 주익장착방식의 장착설계를 수행하였다. 장착설계는 간섭항력(interference drag), roll clearance, ground clearance, nose gear collapse margin, rotor burst, 연료탱크용량 등의 설계제한사항들을 고려하여 엔진성능을 만족시킬 수 있는 최적의 나셀 장착위치(spanwise, FS, WL)와 장착각도(toe-in, incidence, droop angle), wing dry bay의 위치와 크기를 결정하여 향후에 개발될 주익장착방식의 추진기관 장착설계에 활용될 수 있는 설계절차를 구축하였다.

내접치차의 강도에 관한 연구 (A study on strength of internal gear)

  • Bending strength of an internal gear tooth is discussed as tooth form factor taking into account the actual stress magnitude. Stress analysis was carried out by the finite element method(FEM) for the calculation of tooth form factor of an internal gear. This paper also investigated the influences of number of teeth and addendum modification coefficient of the internal gear and the influences of number of teeth, addendum modification coefficient, pressure angle, radius of rounding of tooth tip, and bottom clearance coefficient of the pinion-shaped cutter on tooth form factor of internal gear. Generalizing the resultant data, a simple formula for the tooth form factor of an internal gear was derived for the calculation of tooth bending strength of an internal gear.

  • 본 연구는 고속 회전형(~10,000 rpm) 기어펌프의 질량유량과 효율을 예측하기 위해서 2 차원 immersed solid method(ISM)를 이용한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 기어펌프와 하우징의 순환유동을 고려하기 위하여 유체 유동을 난류 유동으로 가정하였고, 기어 펌프의 입 출구의 일정 압력 조건하에 기어펌프의 회전 속도를 부가하였다. 기어펌프의 다양한 회전 속도 및 기어 끝 단과 하우징 사의의 서로 다른 간극에 대한 질량유량 및 효율을 검토하였다. 해석 결과로서, 회전 속도가 증가할수록 평균 질량유량 및 효율은 증가하였고, 기어펌프와 하우징의 간격이 증가할수록 평균 질량유량 및 효율은 감소하였다. 간격이 없는 조건하의 6,000 rpm, 8,000 rpm, 10,000 rpm 회전속도에의 효율은 각각 85.11 %, 90.94 %, 93.62 % 를 얻었고, 간격이 0 m, 0.00001 m, 0.00003 m 에 대해서 효율은 각각 93.62 %, 93.29 %, 92.74 % 를 얻었다.

  • Pressure and film thickness of contacting surfaces between teeth of the involute spur gear in lubricated condition were studied by a numerical method. Dynamics of the gear and pinion was considered to gel ail accurate initial clearance between gear teeth. The 3-dimensional non-steady elastohydrodanamic lubrication analysis on the gear teeth showed a slight higher pressure at the inlet region of the contacting face as well as pressure spike at the outlet region and a more thick film thickness than that of steady condition.

인벌류트 기어펌프의 2차원 유동특성 (Characteristics of Two Dimensional Flow in an Involute Gear Pump)

  • Analysis of two-dimensional flow in an involute gear pump has been done by using FLUENT. Analysis extended to the turbulent flow includes the mass flow rate with functions of pressure difference between inlet and outlet, rotational velocities of involute gear, and clearances between tip of gear and housing. In general mass flow rate decreases with decreasing rotational velocity, and with increasing clearance and pressure difference. The flow rate efficiency of gear pump, which is defined with the theoretical flow rate, has been presented in terms of the above parameters.

  • The pitch reducer consists of several planetary gearsets, and they should have good load distribution over gear tooth flank and load sharing among the planets to improve the durability. This work investigates how bearing internal clearances influence both the load distribution over the gear tooth flank and the planet load sharing. A whole system model is developed to analyze a pitch reducer. The model includes non-linear mesh stiffness of gears, non-linear stiffness of bearings. The results indicate that the face load factor and mesh load factor decrease, and the fatigue life of output shaft bearings increase as bearing internal clearances of output shaft decrease. Therefore, the internal clearance of output shaft bearing must be considered when designing the pitch reducer for wind turbines.

  • Dynamic as well as static and geometric design parameters such as inertia, tooth profile, backlash and clearance can be directly considered via multi-body dynamic analysis along with contact analysis. However, it is time consuming to use finite elements for the consideration of the tooth flexibility in the multi-body dynamic analysis of gears. A computationally efficient procedure, so called, Gear Stiffness Module, is suggested to resolve this calculation time issue. The characteristics of gear tooth compliance are discussed and rotational stiffness element concept for the Gear Stiffness Module is presented. Transmission error analyses for a spur gear system are carried out to validate the reliability and efficiency of the module. Compared with the finite element model, the Gear Stiffness Module yields considerably similar results and takes only 3% of calculation time.

Transient EHL Analysis on Spur Gear Teeth with Consideration of Gear Kinematics

  • Transient 3-dimensional elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) analysis is performed on the contacting teeth surfaces of involute spur gears. Kinematics of the gear and the pinion are taken into account to get accurate geometric clearance around the EHL region of the contacting teeth. The surface pressure and film thickness distribution for the whole contact faces in a lubricated condition at several time steps are obtained through the analysis. Besides the pressure spike at the outlet region, a representative phenomenon in EHL regime, the pressure at the inlet region is slightly higher than that of the center region. The film thickness of transient condition is thicker than that of steady condition.
