It is necessary to develope a high frequency diode laser sensor system based on the absorption spectroscopy for the measurement of temperature of the spray flame. DFB diode laser operating near $2.0{\mu}m$ was used to scan over selected $H_2O$ transitions near $1.9{\mu}m\;and\;2.2{\mu}m$, respectively. The measurement sensitivity at wide range of sweep frequency was evaluated using multi-pass cell containing $CO_2$ gas. This diode laser absorption sensor with high temporal resolution up to 10kHz was applied to measure the gas temperature in the spray flame region of liquid-gas 2-phase counter flow flame. The successful demonstration of time series temperature measurement in the spray flame gives us motivation of trying to establish non-intrusive temperature measurement method in the practical spray flame.
Ammonia gas was blown into the solution of zirconium ion to induce precipitation of supersaturated zirconium ion at gas-liquid interface with increase in pH. The influence of pH on the phase and particle size of precipitate and calcined powders has been investigated. At pH 4.5 of zirconium solution, maximum yield of 98.7% was obtained. Above pH 4.5, there was no more increase of yield. Above pH 5.5, large aggregates consisting of primary particles were observed in precipitate and calcined powders. At pH 4.5, almost aggregate-free fine spherical zirconia powders were obtained.
Characteristics of flow rate control has been studied for a cavitating venturi adopted in a liquid rocket propellant feed system. Numerical simulation has been peformed to give about $10\%$ discrepancy of mass flow rate to the experimental data for cavitating flow regime. Mass flow rate is confirmed to be saturated for pressure difference higher than $3\times10^5$pa when the upstream pressure is fixed to $22.8\times10^5$pa and the downstream pressure is varied. The evaporation amount depends substantially to non-condensable gas concentration. However the mass flow rate characteristic is relatively insensitive to the mass fraction of non-condensable gas. So it is reduced by only $2\%$ when the non- condensable gas concentration is increased from 1.5PPM to 150PPM. From the previous comparison the expansions of the non-condensable gas and the evaporation of liquid are verified to have same effect to pressure recovery.
The sealed, tuned liquid column gas damper (TLCGD) with gas-spring effect extends the frequency range of application up to about 5 Hz and efficiently increases the modal structural damping. In this paper the influence of several TLCGDs to reduce coupled translational and rotational vibrations of plan-asymmetric buildings under wind or seismic loads is investigated. The locations of the modal centers of velocity of rigidly assumed floors are crucial to select the design and the optimal position of the liquid absorbers. TLCGD's dynamics can be derived in detail using the extended non-stationary Bernoulli's equation for moving reference systems. Modal tuning of the TLCGD renders the optimal parameters by means of a geometrical transformation and in analogy to the classical tuned mass damper (TMD). Subsequently, fine-tuning is conveniently performed in the state space domain. Numerical simulations illustrate a significant reduction of the vibrations of plan-asymmetric buildings by the proposed TLCGDs.

Small drops in gas cause some problems for downstream equipments such as turbine, compressor and etc. In some cases, we are obliged to remove hazardous liquid mist from gas. In order to remove water or other liquids from the gas, there are some equipments like mesh mist eliminator and vane-plate mist eliminator. oil mist filter is a kind of liquid eliminator equipments used to remove the liquid with 1-10um droplet diameter from the gas. In this paper is determine the factors affecting the oil mist filter efficiency using CFD. length and angle of the filter were considered and the results and compare the results of the efficiency tests, showed error of less than 3%. optimum filter can remove more than 87.3% between 1 and 10um of oil mist.
The hydrothermal carbonization method has received great attention because of the conversion process from biomass. The reaction produces various products in hydrochar, bio-liquid, and gas. Even though its yield cannot be ignored in amount, it is difficult to find research papers on bio-liquid generated from the hydrothermal carbonization reaction of biomass. In particular, the heterogeneity of feedstock composition may make the characterization of bio-liquid different and difficult. In this study, bio-liquid from the hydrothermal carbonization reaction of food wastes at $230^{\circ}C$ for 4 h was investigated. Among various products, fatty acid methyl esters were analyzed using two different extraction methods: liquid-liquid extraction and column chromatography. Different elutions with various solvents enabled us to categorize the various components. The eluents and fractions obtained from two different extraction methods were analyzed by gas chromatography with a mass spectrometer (GC/MS). The composition of the bio-liquid in each fraction was characterized, and seven fatty acid methyl esters were identified using the library installed in GC/MS device.
The present study has numerically and experimentally investigated the spray behavior of liquid jet injected in subsonic cross-flow. The corresponding spray characteristics are correlated with jet operating parameters. The spray dynamics are known to be distinctly different in the three regimes: the column, the ligament and the droplet regimes. The behaviors of column, penetration and breakup of liquid jet have been studied. Numerical and physical models are base on a modified KIVA code. The primary atomization is represented by a wave model base on the KH(Kelvin-Helmholtz) instability that is generated by a high interface relative velocity between the liquid and gas flows. In odor to capture the spray trajectory, CCD camera has been utilized. Numerical and experimental results indicate that the breakup point is delayed by increasing gas momentum ratio and the penetration decreases by increasing Weber number.
The mechanism of the hydrogen gas pore formation was investigated in Lost Foam Casting of Al-alloy by reduced pressure test and real casting. The hydrogen gas pick-up was affected by the formed gas during the decomposition of polystyrene in addition to the liquid product. It depended on pouring temperature and a proper temperature of metal front gave the minimum hydrogen pick-up. At a low pouring temperature, the hydrogen went into the melt mainly from entrapped liquid product of polystyrene but pores were formed from the gas as well as the liquid product at a high pouring temperature. The mold flask evacuation down to 710torr decreased the gas porosity down by around 0.4% vol%. The entrapped decomposition product of polystyrene in the melt was observed through the visualization of filling behavior of Al alloy-melt with the high speed camera.

An experimental research program is being undertaken to develop a regeneratively-cooled experimental thrust chamber of liquid rocket engine using liquefied natural gas and liquid oxygen as propellants. Prior to firing test using a regenerative cooling with liquefied natural gas in this program, several firing tests were conducted with water as a coolant. Experimental thrust chambers with a thrust of about 10tf were developed and their firing test facility was built up. Injector used in the thrust chamber was of shear-coaxial type appropriate for propellants of gas and liquid phase and cooling channels are of milled rectangular configuration. Periodical variation of the soot deposition and discoloration was observed through an eyes' inspection on the inner wall of a combustion chamber and a nozzle after each firing test, and an intuitive concept of the periodical variation of mixture ratio near the inner wall of a combustion chamber and a nozzle at once was brought about and analyzed quantitatively. Thermal heat flux to the coolant was calculated and modified with the periodical variation model of mixture ratio, and the increment of coolant temperature at cooling channels was compared with measured one.
This paper chose the methods of methylesterification of the use of methoxide, the mixture solution of methanol-benzen-sulfuric acid in transesterification of the fat in cow's milk and modified powder milk and separated by gas liquid chromatography with F.F.A.P., D.E.G.A. as liquid phase. Quantitative analysis of the fatty acid of milk fat in cow's milk and modified powder milk was determined by gas liquid chromatography using the method of temperature programming which should be used to obtain satisfactory separation of short chain fatty acid on the chromatogram. It was found that the fatty acid composition of cow's milk and modified powder milk are all the major fatty acid of milk fat obtained by GLC analysis. Main components was found to be from butyric acid to arachidonic acid showing Fig. 3, 4, 5 and Table 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
