The purpose of this study is the development of the simple and precise sampling and analysis method of methyl isocyanate(MIC) in the work place as their secondary aliphatic amine derivatives by gas chromatography with flame ionization detector. The urea derivatives are quantitatively and simultaneously derived from MIC with secondary aliphatic amines such as dipropylamine(DPA), dibutylamine(DBA), and dipentylamine (DAA) in methylene chloride. The method is based on sampling glass tube in XAD-2 resin which is coated with secondary aliphatic amines. The samples are desorbed by $2m{\ell}$ methylene chloride and analysed using gas chromatography with flame ionization detector(GC/FID). In the results, the detection limit of the overall procedure and reliable quantity are $0.020-0.027{\mu}g$($1.347-1.740{\mu}g/m^3$(0.529-0.684 ppb) based on a 15 L air volume) MIC per sample. The average desorption efficiencies are 97.96 - 101.23 %. The results of versus storage time are high and stable recovery rates.
As public interest in air quality and environment problem is increasing, many researches are being carried out the gas measurement system. Especially, Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) measurements using Beer-Lambert gas sensing principle with very high selectivity and long life time are noted for reliable method. It is possible to detect various gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), but many researches are mostly concentrated on CO2 sensor. The multi-gas measuring instrument is high price and unwieldy, therefore it is not suitable for wide area required numerous instrument. So we study the NDIR multi-gas measurement system for air quality based on wireless sensor network, and experiment the realized measurement system.
In order to prevent major and chemical accidents, some of the plants which would like to install and operate hazard chemicals handling facilities must submit Off-site Consequence Analysis due to recent arisen leak accidents since 2015. A lot of chemical industrials choose gas detectors as mitigation equipment to early detect gas vapor. The way of placement of gas detectors has two methods; Code-based Design(CBD) and Performance-based Design. The CBD has principles for gas detectors to be installed with consideration for the place that is expected to accumulate gas, and the leak locations according to legal standards and technical guidelines, and has a possibility to be unable to detect by these rules to locate gas detectors by vapor density information. The PBD has two methods; a Geographic Method and Scenario based Method. The Scenario-based Method has been suggested to make up for the Geographic Coverage Method. This Scenario-based Method draw the best optimum placement of gas detectors by considering leak locations, leak speed information, leak directions and etc. However, the domestic placement guidelines just refers to the CBD. Therefore, this study is to compare existing placement location of gas detectors by the domestic CBD with placement locations, coverages and the number of gas detectors in accordance with the Scenario-based Method. Also this study has measures for early detecting interest of Vapor Cloud and suitable placement of gas detectors to prevent chemical accidents. The Phast software was selected to simulate vapor cloud dispersion to predict the consequence. There are two cases; an accident hole size of leak(8 mm) from API which is the highst accident hole size less than 24.5 mm, and a normal leak hole size from KOSHA Guide (1.8 mm). Detect3D was also selected to locate gas detectors efficiently and compare CBD results and PBD results. Currently, domestic methods of gas detectors do not consider any risk, but just depend on domestic code methods which lead to placement of gas detectors not to make personnels recognize tolerable or intolerable risks. The results of the Scenario-based Method, however, analyze the leak estimated range by simulating leak dispersion, and then it is able to tell tolerable risks. Thus it is considered that individuals will be able to place gas detectors reasonably by making objectives and roles flexibly according to situations in a specific plant.
To found out the degradation characteristic of transformer insulation, insulation materials and electrodes are deposited into transformer oil. They used to heated and make flashover. Due to the thermal and electrical stress added to insulation materials, the density of carbon dioxide and hydrogen included in transformer oil was increased. The gas density can measured by using the gas density detection equipment of gas sensor and air circulation method.
In oil-filled equipment such as transformers, partial discharge or local overheating will make insulating material(oil, kraft paper, proclain and wood) be stressed and generate many sort of gases($CO,\;CO_2,\;H_2,\;C_2H_4$) which are dissolved in transformer oil. The ratio of this gas can make diagnostic tecchniques of the lifetime of transfomer so, it is important to monitoring $H_2$ gas continuously. This paper developes a system of detecting about $H_2$ gas by using $H_2$ gas sensor, and we describe operation and performance of this system
The steady cooling characteristics of a cryochamber for infrared (IR) detector have been investigated analytically, considering radiation shields. The thermal modeling considers the conduction heat transfer through cold finger, the gaseous conduction due to out-gassing, and the radiation heat transfer. The cooling load of the cryochamber is obtained by using a fin equation. The results obtained indicate that the gaseous conduction plays an important role in determining the steady cooling load. The steady cooling load is increased as the gas pressure is increased. It is also found that the cooling load is substantially decreased with a radiation shield. The most thermal load of a cryochamber occurs through the cold finger.
We propose driving method of Ultraviolet sensor for fire alarms using pulse width modulation that used to fire detector with sensor of private-use detectable light energy as ultraviolet in energy of electromagnetic-wave type radiate from flame, when combustible burn with contain carbon,. Ultraviolet sensor is UV Tron using gas multiplication effect to current discharge and photoelectric effect of metal. To have high sensibility and to gain proper output voltage, it has high responsive performance. This research designed driving circuit with UV sensors and proposed method of false alarm reduced to resemble fire. the result propers the prevention and extinction of fire technique degree, certificated operation of detector.
Combinatorial homoserine lactone mixtures and individual products were obtained from the methionine-functionalized resin in solid-phase synthesis. The four-step process consisting of a coupling step of an N-Fmoc-L-methionine, deprotection of N-Fmoc group, N-coupling with a carboxylic acid, and cleavage reaction through a polymer supported strategy is described. Gas chromatography-mass selective detector (GC-MSD) techniques provide the most powerful methods for identifying both the combinatorial mixtures and individual products.
