Carbon Monoxide(CO) poisoning accident is higher than any other gas accident in the rate of deaths/incidents. In the last five years, 36 people died and 104 were wounded because of carbon monoxide poisoning accident. Most of these CO poisoning accidents were caused by defective exhaust tube in the old gas boiler and multi-use facility. In this study, the spread of incomplete combustion gas(CO) released from leakage hole of exhaust tube was analyzed by computational flow modeling and concentration measuring test. CO gas leaked form exhaust tube in a building was highest concentrated near the ceiling and formed the circular currents along the walls. Through these experiments and simulation, the reasonable installation location of carbon monoxide alarm was made certain and suggested.
As a clean fuel, LNG or LPG is widely used in large restaurants or plants instead of coal. These fuels are easy to use and cheap. However, they are inflammable very much and easily exploded at the worst. So there are many laws and regulations legislated for the handling and usage of the gas facilities. Nevertheless, very harsh explosions occurred in several domestic or foreign places. In this paper a gas detection and alarm system was developed for large facilities. A new concept for connecting many gas detectors was proposed and based upon that a system including hardware and software have been developed and tested. Although up to 16 gas detectors apart 1 km from main controller can be connected currently, this system can be easily expanded for more detectors because each gas detector receiver communicates with main controller using industrial standard RS-485 multi drop technique. Furthermore several additive functions was included for the installation and maintenance convenience.

LPG is used in the home would have to depend on the provider, because there is no method for measuring the capacitance. In addition, by measuring the gas capacities can not be known because of the LPG gas replacement time and requires an alarm for replacement. In this study, and that the gas capacities to the trusted user and the supplier, in order to know when it is time to change to LPG gas by applying a Hall effect sensor developed a gas capacities measurement the valve system.

This work is concerned with a plan for preventing accidents of CO gas leak from gas boilers, involving the enforcement of installations of both CO alarm system and condensing boilers, and financial support of government grants. If amongst 1,460,000 beneficiaries of basic livelihood security, one million households in use of gas boilers receive 3-year support of 200,000 won, the difference of prices between common and condensing boilers, the government grants would be 2,000 billion won. If 3 million common householders are in 3-year support of 100,000 won, government grants would be 3,000 billion won. Therefore, 3-year grand total of government grants would be 5,000 billion won. Finance for government grants can be purveyed from energy saving; yearly 2,000 billion won of energy saving by enforcing to replace one million existing boilers with condensing boilers, leading to 2 trillion won of energy saving for 10 years. In this way, 6,000 billion won of 3-year grand total of government grants for CO alarm system and condensing boilers can be purveyed. The rest amount would be fundraised for energy savings. We claim that our proposal can make an achievement of more than 50% reduction of CO leak accidents during 10 years.

In this paper, we propose a monitoring system that can monitor gas leakage concentrations in real time and forecast the amount of gas leaked after one minute. When gas leaks happen, they typically lead to accidents such as poisoning, explosion, and fire, so a monitoring system is needed to reduce such occurrences. Previous research has mainly been focused on analyzing explosion characteristics based on gas types, or on warning systems that sound an alarm when a gas leak occurs in industrial areas. However, there are no studies on creating systems that utilize specific gas explosion characteristic analysis or empirical urban gas data. This research establishes a deep learning model that predicts the gas explosion risk level over time, based on the gas data collected in real time. In order to determine the relative risk level of a gas leak, the gas risk level was divided into five levels based on the lower explosion limit. The monitoring platform displays the current risk level, the predicted risk level, and the amount of gas leaked. It is expected that the development of this system will become a starting point for a monitoring system that can be deployed in urban areas.
The life management technology becomes important as the failure risk of the aged power transformers increases. Asset management technology, therefore, has been developed to evaluate the remaining life and build replacement strategies of power transformers, which enables an optimal investment decisions based on reliability and economic feasibility. The remaining life assessment technology uses data related to such as installation, operation, maintenance, refurbishment, and disposed history of power transformers. The optimal investment decision additionally uses data related to failure and social costs. To develop the asset management technology in power transformers, it is important to find deterioration parameters directly indicating degradation of power transformers. In this study, 110,000 DGA data during the past 35 years have been analyzed in order to find the deterioration parameters related to the degradation of power transformers. The alarm rates of combustible gases ($H_2$, $C_2H_2$, $C_2H_4$, $CH_4$, $C_2H_6$), TCG CO, and $CO_2$ were analyzed as deterioration parameters. The origin of the gas was discussed in connection with discharge, overheating and insulation aging.

We propose that when combustible burn with contain carbon, introduce fire detector with sensor of private-use detectable light energy as infrared and ultraviolet in energy of electromagnetic-wave type radiate from flame, method for correct discrimination to resemble fire produce false alarm of detector such as sun light, hot object radiation, are welding. This research using infrared sensor is pyroelectric infrared sensor based black body radiation theory. Ultraviolet sensor is uv Tron using gas multiplication effect to current discharge and photoelectric effect of metal. To have high sensibility and to gain proper output voltage, it has high responsive performance. This research introduced UV/IR compound type flame detector and proposed method of false alarm reduced to resemble fire. The result propres the prevention and extinction of fire technique degree, certificated operation of detector.
Recently, the air quality of South Korea has deteriorated and public interest has been increasing. Various observation means are used for the monitoring of the atmospheric environment, but it relies on the experience and judgment of the observer in the absence of spatial information on the emission facilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the availability of using drones for monitoring air pollutant emission facilities. A texture transformation method was applied to the drone ortho image to detect the small gas emission facility and the slope data calculated by the digital surface model (DSM) was used to reduce the false alarm ratio. As a result, it shows the possibility of using drones in the detection of small gas emission facilities by showing about 80% of positive detection ratio and 40% of false alarm ratio. In the future, various researches are required to the improve positive detection ratio and the reduction of the false alarm ratio. Based on these results, it is necessary to construct a database including 3D spatial information of air pollutant emission facilities.
Silicon piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor for gas leakage alarm system was developed. This sensor must operate normally in the range of $0{\sim}600\;mmH_{2}O$ pressure, and $0{\sim}100^{\circ}C$ temperature. To make the most of this sensor for gas leakage alarm system, gas must not leak from the sensor itself when the diaphragm of the sensor fractures. Thus, the sealed diaphragm cavity was anodically bonded to pyrex 7740 glass under the condition of $10^{-4}$ torr, at $400^{\circ}C$. The sensitivity of developed sensor was $4.06{\mu}V/VmmH_{2}O$ for $600\;mmH_{2}O$ full-scale pressure range. And temperature compensation method of this sensor is to change bridge-in put-voltage linearly in proportion to the temperature variation by using diode(PXIN4001) or Al thin film resistor. By these methods the temperature effect in the range of $0{\sim}100^{\circ}C$ was compensated over 80 % for offset drift, 95 % for sensitivity.
