  • A triggered sparkp gap switch was fabricater and its high-voltage discharge characteristics were studied. The switch is composed of two main electrodes and one trigger electrode which is placed perpendicular to the main one. Spark gap distance was fixed by 25 mm. This device has been operated without self firing at the pulse repetition frequency from 1 to 20 Hz limited by the charging current, and the hold-off voltage from 10 to 30kV. An IGBT switch and igniter coil (originally used in a car) were adopted for a trigger circuit. In this article preliminary switch characteristics of the spark gap switch are reported with the emphasis on the description of the trigger circuit.

  • For advanced database security, various researches and challenges are being done to keep pace with new information technologies. We suggests new extended access control that make it possible to conform security policies even with uncertain context and purpose. There may be a discrepancy between the syntactic phrase in security policies and that in queries, called semantic gap problem. New access control derive semantic implications from context and purpose hierarchy tree and control the exceed privileges using semantic gap factor calculating the degree of the discrepancy. And then, We illustrate prototype system architecture and show performance comparison with existing access control methods.

  • In this paper, the thrust control of PWM Inverter-fed SLIM(Single-sided Linear Induction Motor) is achieved by vector control and PID control with DSP(TMS320C32). SLIM which used as a conveyor has required the quick response and the constant operating without air gap trembling while it conveys load. Thus, SLIM should have the smallest trembling of air gap length. First, voltage equations for SLIM are calculated from the proposed equivalent circuit in this peper, and not only the exciting current but also the thrust component are obtained from them. The thrust current ripple can be reduced by the vector controller using a slip angle frequency, and the PID controller is also use for the position control.
