In this brief report, alternative time-varying diversification rate models were fitted onto the phylogeny of global amphibians by considering one-constant-rate (OCR), one-continuous-shift (OCS) and multiple-discrete- shifts (MDS) situations. The OCS diversification model was rejected by ${\gamma}$ statistic (${\gamma}=-5.556$, p<0.001), implying the existence of shifting diversification rates for global amphibian phylogeny. Through model selection, MDS diversification model outperformed OCS and OCR models using "laser" package under R environment. Moreover, MDS models, implemented using another R package "MEDUSA", indicated that there were sixteen shifts over the internal nodes for amphibian phylogeny. Conclusively, both OCS and MDS models are recommended to compare so as to better quantify rate-shifting trends of species diversification. MDS diversification models should be preferential for large phylogenies using "MEDUSA" package in which any arbitrary numbers of shifts are allowed to model.

In this article, a control chart based on multiple dependent (or deferred) state sampling for the gamma distributed quality characteristic is proposed using the gamma to normal transformation. The proposed control chart has two pairs of control limits, which can be determined by considering the in-control average run length (ARL). The shift in the scale parameter of a gamma distribution is considered and the out-of-control ARL is evaluated. The performance of the proposed chart has been shown for different levels of the parameters of the proposed control chart. It is also shown that the proposed chart is better than the Shewhart chart in terms of ARLs. A case study with a real data has been included for the practical usage of the proposed scheme.

In order to produce ${\gamma}-linolenic$ acid by Mucor sp. KCTC 8405P. the fungus was cultivated in fed-batch culture with two phases. i.e., growth in yeast-like form and induction to hyphal growth by pH shift of the culture medium during cultivation. The synchronous growth of the fungus into the appropriate sizes was important for the high density cell culture of this dimorphic fungus. Dissolved oxygen concentration in the medium did not affect degree of unsaturation of fatty acids and ${\gamma}-linolenic$ acid content. Under the culture conditions applied in this experiment. the fungus was found to produce 100 g/l dry mycelia containing 40% of the lipids, where ${\gamma}-linolenic$ acid comprised about 9% of the total extractable fatty acids.

CTA 102, one of gamma-ray bright active galactic nuclei (AGN) has been observed with Korean very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) network (KVN) during the period of 2012 December-2018 May as part of interferometric Monitoring Of Gamma-ray Bright AGN (iMOGABA). Multi-frequency VLBI observations enable us to compare the milliarcsecond(mas)-scale iMOGABA images of relativistic jets with those from the Monitoring Of Jets in AGN with Very long baseline array (VLBA) Experiments (MOJAVE) and the VLBA-Boston University(BU)-BLAZAR programs which use VLBA with its angular resolutions of 0.2-1.3 mas. In spite of the relative larger beam sizes of KVN (1-10 mas), we are able to identify jet components of CTA 102 using the KVN multi-frequency VLBI observations with those resolved with VLBA. Considering an instrumental beam blending effect on the jet component identification, we were able to obtain a blending shift of the core position based on a convolution analysis using the VLBA data. When we apply the core position shift to the KVN images of CTA 102, we find that the identified jet components of CTA 102 from the KVN observations are well matched with those from the VLBA observations. Based on the results of the analysis, we may be able to study the jet kinematics and its correlation with gamma-ray flare activity.

${\gamma}-linolenic$ acid를 함유한 유지를 생산하기 위해 포도당을 주기적으로 첨가하면서 Mucor sp. KCTC 8405P를 유가배양하였다. 배양 시작 후 2일까지 효모 모양으로 배양한 후 배지의 pH를 높여 균사체 모양으로 유도하여 배양하면, 지방질은 포도당이 고갈되는 배양 7일째까지 축적되었다. 본 배양조건에 의하여 건조 균체량 99.3 g/l, 총지방질 38.0 g/l와 3.5 g/l의 ${\gamma}-linolenic$ acid를 얻을 수가 있었다.

Temporal dual gamma drive technology employing the 120Hz refresh rate was developed to enhance the off-axis viewing quality in patterned vertical alignment mode. The color shift ${\Delta}u'v'$ from on-axis to off-axis (60 deg.) for pale orange color, (R,G,B) = (196,124,96), was below 0.01, and the power exponent of gamma curve for off-axis viewing angle (60 deg.) was about 1.8, when the gamma curve for on-axis was set with power exponent of 2.4. The off-axis image distortion index was below 0.180 in contrast to the normal case ${\sim}0.23$. To elevate the response speed of liquid crystal in the intra-frame, the voltage below threshold voltage of liquid crystals was used.

본 논문에서는 광민감 광섬유와 일반 단일모드 광섬유로 제작된 광섬유 브래그 격자 센서의 감마방사선 영향을 분석하였다. 제작된 광섬유 브래그 격자는 $Co^{60}$ 감마선원을 이용하여 300 Gy/min의 선량률로 총선량 17.8 kGy 감마선을 조사하였다. 실험결과를 통하여 수소로딩을 하지 않은 광민감 광섬유로 제작된 브래그 격자가 가장 낮은 약 18 pm의 브래그 파장 이동을 보였다. 또한 방사선 조사에 의한 브래그 파장변화는 광섬유 코어의 $GeO_2$ 함량보다는 수소로딩 공정에 훨씬 큰 영향을 받는다는 것을 확인하였다.

PS(Phase Shift) 방식을 이용하여 3차원 이미지 형상복원 시스템을 구현하였다. PS 방식은 위상을 이동시켜서 얻어진 강도를 arctan 시킴으로써 $-{\pi}{\sim}{\pi}$ 범위의 접혀진(wrapped) 위상을 얻을 수 있으며, 이러한 wrapped 위상을 위상 펼침(unwrapping) 알고리즘을 이용하여 불연속을 제거할 수 있다. 얻어진 위상 정보는 물체의 높이 정보에 비례하기 때문에 위상 분포로써 3차원 형상을 복원할 수 있다. Unwrapping 알고리즘에는 다양한 방식이 있지만 본 연구에서는 LabVIEW 프로그램을 이용하여 Goldstein 알고리즘을 구현하였으며, 감마(Gamma) 효과에 의한 노이즈를 줄이기 위하여 프로젝트와 카메라의 보정(calibration) 프로그램을 개발 및 적용하였다. 이와 같은 실험을 통하여 효과적으로 3차원 형상 정보를 얻을 수 있었다.

In the previous paper, we gave a characterization of backward shift invariant subspaces of the Hardy space over the bidisk on which [${S_z}^n$, $S_w^*$] = 0 for a positive integer n ${\geq}$ 2. In this case, it holds that ${S_z}^n=cI$ for some $c{\in}\mathbb{C}$. In this paper, it is proved that if [$S_{\varphi}$, $S_w^*$] = 0 and ${\varphi}{\in}H^{\infty}({\Gamma}_z)$, then $S_{\varphi}=cI$ for some $c{\in}\mathbb{C}$.

The photochemistry of 1-Methyl-2-cyclohexenyl aryl ketones (phenyl ketone 7a, p-toluyl ketone 7b, biphenyl ketone 7c and -naphthyl ketone 7d) is reported. The aryl ketone 7a, 7b and 7c undergo photo-racemization with efficiencies of 0.75, 0.79 and 0.76 respectively on direct irradiation. Direct irradiation of the ketone 7d, however, undergoes 1,3-shift with an efficiency of 0.02. Triplet states are responsible for the racemizations and singlet state is responsible for 1,3-shift as in general. The ketone 7a, 7b and 7c are good example of a few ${\beta},{\gamma}$-unsaturated ketones which undergo efficient intersystem crossing on direct irradiation.
