  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, games played an important role in people's lives. Numerous online users flocked to the game platform, and brand companies started using online games to promote their products. Medical institutions have also implemented policies for healthy physical activity through online games. In order to attract more global game users, research on immersion in games is also very important to prevent users from leaving the platform. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the common immersion elements of popular games by country and study them from the perspective of changing devices. In this paper, representative popular games of Korea, China, and Japan, which are recently called the dark horse of the game industry, are classified by devices of mobile, online PCs, and VR games and analyzed using immersion analysis tools proposed by researcher. Next, the representative metaverse games of the Web 3.0 era were analyzed, and their characteristics were compared with the results of the immersion analysis between Korea, China, and Japan, and proposed as game immersion elements suitable for metabus games.

  • In order to improve safety consciousness due to the increase in disasters and safety accidents, safety education is necessary to prepare for disasters with interest in safety. This study is a board game design for disaster safety education for elementary school students based on Keller's learning motivation theory. By considering the school safety curriculum and the safety education contents of the School Safety Mutual Aid Association and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the content and goals of learning were derived and the order of learning was determined. When designing game content, the fun elements of the game were applied to Keller's learning motivation inducing factors such as attention concentration (A), relevance (R), confidence (C), satisfaction (S), and educational game design elements to induce the achievement of learning goals at the game planning stage. It is expected that the existing safety education focusing on lecture-style and audiovisual will be supplemented and used in the educational field.

  • In order to improve players' satisfaction with the game NPC (Non Plyer Character), a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was made, and NPC design elements were analyzed. First, extract the design elements (entertainment, artistry, interaction, and presence) that affect player satisfaction. And it is assumed that these factors will affect the satisfaction of players, and empirical research is carried out through quantitative research ideas. The results of the analysis of the questionnaire survey data show that four elements have a meaningful impact on player satisfaction, and artistry has the greatest impact on player satisfaction. Finally, according to the analysis results, a proposal for NPC design is proposed. It is expected that this research will provide a reference frame for the design direction of NPC in the future.

This game method was used to evaluate their preference, reliability of preference degree, satisfaction degree, requirement elements such as improvement, sacrifice, maintenance of present condition, and payment possibility for improving and maintaining present condition, in addition to their preference and payment possibility of differentiation of outdoor space in the apartment complex in the future. From the statical analysis, we found the following results: 1. Reliability of preference degree was valid, inasmuch as the first elements they preferred were the almost same as the last things. 2. Elements of preference were pedestrian ways, pedestrian security facilities, various athletic facilities, and variety and high-class facilities in a play ground. 3. Satisfaction degree of differentiation elements of outdoor space was low not only in total complexes but also in each complex. As a result of analysis, these elements were not satisfied with residents. 4. Most of the differentiation elements of outdoor space in three apartment complexes, except planting traditional trees, were required to improve and maintain present condition. The cost to improve and maintain these elements able to pay by them was about 2.18 million won. Through this result, these elements were not options but prerequisites for planning outdoor space in apartment complexes. 5. In the future preference elements of differentiation of outdoor space in apartment complexes were pedestrian and jogging ways, places with water, various athletic places and facilities, multi-function resting places, green spaces in experiences, pedestrian security facilities, various athletic facilities, variety and high-class facilities in a play ground, and payment possibility for these elements was about 3.20 million won.

  • As game players have been more diverse and new features of digital games have been emerged in recent days, it is important to find out and understand how recent game players recognize and classify digital games. Thirty game players conducted Q-analysis of twenty-nine Q-statements extracted from previous studies on game typology. By using a QUANL program, three different types were revealed. For game classification, 'Physical Environment Centric Players' type highly values external game elements from the outside perspectives. 'Contents Centric Players' type considers internal game elements as the most important criterion. 'Emotional Experience Centric Players' type values his/her subjective feeling and thoughts. Based on this study, it is expected to make a contribution in developing a framework of game players with their perspectives on game classification.

  • The multimedia data of game affects the immersion of the game depending on its quality. It is difficult to design the evaluation criteria of artistic quality of the data. But, in a technical point of view, it is possible to evaluate its quality. Thus, the design of evaluation standard can ensure the reliability and objectivity of quality. However, multimedia data quality evaluation metrics had not yet been designed. Therefore, in this study, we extracted quality evaluation elements of Game Multimedia Data, and verified the reliability of the elements. And we defined detailed evaluation items of each element, developed Multimedia Data Quality Evaluation Metrics. We expect that the results of this study will serve as a guide in the development of high-quality games, have a positive impact on the growth of the game industry.

  • The purpose of this study is to help preschool children in the interface design of educational game APP at the psychological level. The conceptual model is constructed through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use when children are playing educational game APP. The empirical study was conducted in the form of questionnaires collected after children used game. The research subjects were 3-6 years old children, and the research tool was the game app. Data collection under the guidance of their parents. The research shows that children educational game experience elements can effectively increase preschool children's psychological perception of educational games. Perceived ease of use also increases trust in educational games for children. The results were as follows: 1. Cronbach's Alpha and KMO were 0.969 and 0.955, and the P value was significant, which passed the reliability and validity test. 2. Through confirmatory factor analysis (Model fit index, Composite reliability, discriminant validity), we found that user experience is closely related to perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. 3. The path analysis of the relationship proves that perceived ease of use play a key role in trusting preschool children educational game APP.
