  • In this paper, we intend to relive game addiction by educating game programming for students that suffer from game addiction. We had analyzed popular games at the present day and extracted factors related to information education from game programming tool. In addition, we had designed the practical lesson plan based on the instructional design model. We had applied the game programming project to students for a year and the results were as follows. First, we verified the drop of addiction propensity by performing the examination of game addiction scale with before and after T-test. Second, according to the results of analysis based on grounded theory, it saved game time and relieved game addiction. In conclusion, this study shows that the game programming project relieved game addiction.

  • Among culture industry that greet digital generation and is observed 21th century the most representative game industry latest is caught what and more interest degree is rising. 2D and 3D animation accomplish continuous growth and development depending action expression along with development of computer technology, and 2D and 3D animation practical use extent are trend that is widening the area in TV, movie, GAME industry etc. through computer hardware and fast change of software technology. The trend of latest game graphic is trend that the weight is changing from 2D to 3D by 3D game and activation of 3D game character that raise player's immersion stuff and Control in 2D's simplicity manufacturing game balance for one side. This treatise that is reality of 3D game character to classify kind of (Motion Capture) and 3D character animation, form model the sense put. Recognize that is overview and reality of 3D game character first for this about example, and is considered to efficiency is high game industry and digital contents industry hereafter by proposing kind model classification of 3D game character animation, form model classification data and character animation manufacture process that application is possible at fast time and effect in 3D character animation application are big.

  • This study was conducted to develop and apply a computer-based multimedia nutrition education program for preschoolers based on the Dick and Carey model of instructional design. The Dick and Carey model included 4 phases: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The program's instructional goals, objectives, assessment instruments, content, examples, and practice questions with feedback were written in the design phase. To be familiar with the 5 food groups, 'Nutrition exploration' were programmed using Hyperstudio. 'Nutrition exploration' was designed as a five-session, interactive multimedia game, with each session taking about 5 minutes to complete. Nineteen preschoolers, aged 6, volunteered to participate formative evaluation. The effectiveness of the program was examined using a pre-post test design. Participants were recruited by personal contact at the individual preschool education center. The application was carried out during 4 weeks. The results showed that intervention participants significantly increased knowledge between pre-test and post-test. The results support using IMM (interactive multimedia) to disseminate nutrition education to the target population. This research provides the basis for continuing development of computer-based nutrition education materials.

  • This study has an objective to analyze economic impact of building game industrial complex in Incheon. There are few studies about economic impact of game industry, despites of the high expectations for game industry development as important cultural content in the regional economy. Therefore, this study gives value as an intuitive analysis in terms of understanding the game industry. Regional input-output analysis was conducted based on construction sector, game related manufacturing and game related service sector in case of fulfilling establishment of game industrial complex in the Incheon Free Economic Zone. From results of this study, we find out the importance of game industry's effects on both regional and national level and it is expected a big impact on the future direction of related studies.

  • This study aimed to investigate the influence of the various factors ICT Convergence of Sports Game device on user satisfaction and intention to reuse. For this goal, based on the review of literature and the Extended Technology Acceptance Model, a research model was constructed that consists of playfulness, usefulness, convenience. The proposed model is analyzed to target 271 customers in Daegu National Science Museum experienced ICT Convergence Sports Game Device using Smart Partial Least Square(PLS) 2.0. The result of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, Playfulness, Usefulness, Convenience showed positively significant impact on Game satisfaction. Second, Game satisfaction positively influenced Reuse Intention. Thus, based on the results of the study, ICT Convergence of Sports Game Device seems to help in the development of a contents.

  • This study aims to diagnose and analyze the business model of domestic e-sports industry and draw its implications. In-depth interviews with business executives of the e-sports teams, the e-sports media, the e-sports stadium and the game companies was had to identify the cost and revenue of each e-sports industry. The results was that the revenue of the e-sports team, stadium and game company mainly consisted of the sponsorship of the parent company. And main revenue of e-sports media was advertising, subscription fees and copyright income, whereas their expenses was the production costs. Especially the purpose of sponsorship of the game companies was not the profit of e-sports, but the promotion of the parent company game. Result implies the necessity of the development of revenue sources, executing the admission ticket charge in stadium and the development of new sponsorship. This study is expected to contribute to opening the new area of the business model of the e-sports industry that was not nearly so far treated, and consequently the development of the e-sports industry in Korea.

  • Programming education generally includes problem analysis process, automation through algorithms and programming, and generalization process. It is a good software education method for students in improving computing thinking. However, it was found that beginners had difficulties in understanding instruction usage, writing algorithms, and implementing programming. In this study, we developed a game programming education model and curriculum for programming education of pre-service teachers. The 4E model consisted of empathy, exploration, engagement and evaluation. In addition, it is configured to learn game core elements and core command blocks by each stage. To help the pre-service teachers understand the use of various programming blocks, a three-step teaching and learning method was presented, consisting of example learning, self-game creation, and team-based projects. As a result of applying and verifying the curriculum for 15 weeks, it showed significant results in the 4E model and pre-service teachers' perception of block programming competence and the level of computational thinking on the submitted game project results was also high.

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Discrete Event Simulation (DES) are tools widely used in the context of the construction industry. While BIM is used to represent the physical and functional characteristics of a facility, DES models are used to represent its construction process. Integrating both is beneficial to those interested in the field of construction management since it has many potential applications. Game engines provide a human navigable 3D virtual environment in which the integrated BIM and DES models can be visualised and interacted with. This paper reports the experience obtained while developing a simulator prototype which integrates a BIM and a DES model of a single construction activity within a commercial game engine. The simulator prototype allows the user to visualise how the duration of the construction activity is affected by different input parameters interactively. It provides an environment to conduct DES studies using the user's own BIM models. This approach could increase the use of DES technologies in the context of construction management and engineering outside the research community. The presented work is the first step towards the development of a serious game for construction management education and was carried out to determine the suitable IT tools for its development.

  • The problem of strategic R & D investment is formulate as a differential game model and solved explicity for a special case. It is shown that, at equilibrium, an increase in the intensity of market competition or a decrease in the role of technology transfer results in an increase in the initial rate of investment by competing tfirms. The increased initial investment rate may enhance the rate of technology development. This dynamic model can be used to propose non cooperative R & D investment policies in technologically competitive situation.
