This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between body image and BMI with satisfaction of own body image, snack intake practices, food intake practices and weight control practices of 226 female college students in Jeonbuk province using questionnaire. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The average height, weight and BMI was 162.08cm, 52.02kg and 19.78, respectively. The average ideal body weight of the subjects was 48.92kg. Ninety percent of the subjects was dissatisfied with their body image. The degree of dissatisfaction was higher in the group who recognized themselves as fat. Most of subjects wanted to lose weight, but as the group having a recognition of thin body image significantly wanted to gain weight (p<0.001). 2. The subjects preferred fruits and juices for snack. The more subjects recognized themselves as fat, the more they restricted snack intake (p<0.05). 3. The rate of skipping meal tends to increase. The subjects did not intake balanced meals and skipped breakfast most (20.7%). The number of food groups taken at breakfast, lunch and dinner was 1.84, 2.25 and 2.55, respectively and the most variable food groups were taken at dinner(p<0.001). Dairy food group intake was low. The duration of meal time was longer in the underweight group by BMI regardless of body image recognition (p<0.05). 4. The weight controlling method was concentrated mostly on decreasing food intake. The more subjects recognized themselves as fat, the more they tried to control weight (p<0.001). Even though 59.5% of the subjects with no weight control experience had no future weight control plans, 50% of the group who recognized themselves as normal or fat did not want to control weight in the future (p<0.01). These results suggest that nutrition education programs and correction programs of food behaviors and weight control should start from focusing on the accurate recognition of body image for college female students.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bone cement augmentation of pedicular screwing in severe osteoporotic spondylolisthetic patients. Methods : Twenty patients with spondylolisthesis (8 : spondylolytic spondylolisthesis 12 : degenerative spondylolisthesis) who had undergone pedicular screwing and interbody fusion for osteoporotic lumbar spine (T-score on bone mineral density<-3.0) from 2002 to 2005 were reviewed. Mean age was 62.3 years with 3 male and 17 female patients. Average follow-up period was 14 months. Average T-score on bone mineral density (BMD) was -3.62. After decompression of neural elements, about 6cc of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) was injected into the each vertebral body through transpedicular route. All patients underwent one level interbody fusion and pedicular screw fixation. Clinical outcome was assessed using Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) on the last clinical follow-up. In addition, a modified MacNab's grading criteria was used to objectively assess patient's outcome postoperatively. Radiographic analysis of sagittal contour was assessed preoperatively, immediately postoperatively, and at final follow-up including fusion rate. Results : Eighteen of 20 patients were graded as excellent or good according to the modified MacNab's criteria. An significant improvement of ODI was achieved in both groups. Mean sagittal angle at the preoperative state, postoperative state and at the last follow-up state was $11.0^{\circ},\;20.1^{\circ}$ and $18.3^{\circ}$, respectively, with mean sagittal angle correction gain $7.3^{\circ}$. Firm fusion was achieved in all patients. There were one compression fracture above the fused segment after 6 months follow-up and one case of seroma. But there were no postoperative complications related to bone cement leakage and pedicular screwings such as screw pullout or screw cut-up. Conclusion : Bone cement augmentation of pedicular screwing can be an effective procedure for osteoporotic lumbar spine in spondylolisthetic patients.
In this paper, the design of a 10-bit 40-MS/s pipelined A/D converter is implemented to achieve low static power dissipation of 70 mW at the ${\pm}2.5\;V$ or +5 V power supply environment for high speed applications. A 1.5 b/stage pipeline architecture in the proposed ADC is used to allow large correction range for comparator offset and perform the fast interstage signal processing. According to necessity of high-performance op amps for design of the ADC, the new op amp with gain boosting based on a typical folded-cascode architecture is designed by using SAPICE that is an automatic design tool of op amps based on circuit simulation. A dynamic comparator with a capacitive reference voltage divider that consumes nearly no static power for this low power ADC was adopted. The ADC implemented using a $1.0{\mu}m$ n-well CMOS technology exhibits a DNL of ${\pm}0.6$ LSB, INL of +1/-0.75 LSB and SNDR of 56.3 dB for 9.97 MHz input while sampling at 40 MHz.

Wireless data transmission is vulnerable to attackers and hackers. Recently, the fast development of wireless communication systems seamlessly increase the demand for security in this area. Moreover, error correction is especially important because various kinds of interferences among wireless devices. In order to solve two above problems, we propose to apply MCC (M-sequence Convolutional Code) in the system which is able to protect information and correct errors. The proposed system can obtain higher secure property by randomly changing the output connections by the proposed M-sequence. Performance of the system is analyzed according to BER (Bit Error Rate) and secure levels. The simulation results revealed that we can get the coding gain of 0.1 dB over conventional convolution coding technique. The proposed algorithm is installed in physical layer and easily implemented. Another advantage of our proposed (M-sequence and convolutional code) is that it can be applied to CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) communication system.

A forward error correction (FEC) coding techniques is one of time diversity techniques with which the effect of channel impairments due to noise and fading are spreaded over independently, and thus the performance could be improved. Therefore, the performance of the FEC scheme can be maximized if we minimize the correlation of channel information across over a codeword. In this paper, we propose a block turbo code with the maximized time diversity effect which may be reduced due to utilization of high order modulation schemes and due to transmission over a comparatively fast fading environment. Especially, we propose a very simple formula to calculate the address of coded bit allocation, and thus we do not need any additional outer interleavers, i.e., inter-codeword interleavers. The simulation resuts investigated in this paper reveal that the proposed scheme can provide the performance gain of more than a few decibels compared to the conventional schemes.
CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is promising medium access control schemes for underwater acoustic sensor networks because of its robustness against frequency-selective fading and high frequency-reuse efficiency. In this paper, we design diversity schemes of underwater CDMA transceiver for the forward and reverse links. User data are multiplexed by Walsh code and a pseudo random noise code acquisition process is added for phase error correction before decoding the user data at the receiver. Then, the diversity reception using equal gain combining and maximal ratio combining is performed in order to minimize performance degradation caused by rich multipath fading of underwater acoustic channel. We evaluated the performance of diversity transceiver through lake experiment, which was performed at Lake Kyungcheon, Mungyeong city using two transmitters and two receivers placed 460 m apart at an average depth of 40 m. The lake experiment results show that user data are recovered with error-free in both of the forward and reverse links.
Highly non-linear electro-optical transfer function of the Perceptual Quantizer was approximated by a truncated Taylor series, resulting in a closed form solution for luma adjustment. This previous solution is fast and quite suitable for the hardware implementation of luma adjustment, but the approximation error becomes relatively large in the range of 600~3,900 cd/m2 linear light. In order to reduce such approximation error, we propose a new linear model, for which a correction is performed on the position and the slope of line based on the scope of approximation. In order to verify the approximation capability of the proposed linear model, a comparative study on the luma adjustment schemes was conducted using various high dynamic range test video sequences. Via the comparative study, we identified a significant performance enhancement over the previous fast luma adjustment scheme, where a 4.65dB of adjusted luma t-PSNR gain was obtained for a test sequence having a large portion of saturated color pixels.

Purpose: Rigid external distraction(RED) is a highly effective technique for correction of maxillary hypoplasia in patients with cleft or syndromic craniosynostosis. Despite many advantages of RED, it also has the problem of relapse as the conventional advancement surgery. Bicoronal approach, that is the common approach to gain access to the craniofacial skeleton, had some morbidity, such as hair loss, sensory loss, wide scar and temporal hollowing. We present our clinical experience of RED distraction with minimal invasive approach and early rigid fixation to overcome these disadvantages. Methods: A 27-year-old female patient with Crouzon's disease underwent Le Fort III osteotomy and RED device application through the minimal invasive direct skin incisions. After the latent period of 5 days, distraction was undertaken until proper convexity and advancement were obtained. During the rigid retention period, inflammation occurred on the right cheek, and proper conservative managements were done including continuous irrigation. To maintain the stability of distraction, early rigid fixation was undertaken on the osteotomy sites through another skin incisions. Preoperative and postoperative orthodontic treatments were performed. Serial photographs and cephalometric radiographs were obtained preoperatively, after distraction and 6 months after distraction. Results: The cephalometric analysis demonstrated postoperatively significant advancement of the maxilla and improvement of facial convexity. After 6-month follow-up period, the maxilla was stable in the sagittal plane and no relapse was found. Facial scars were not noticeable and other deformity and morbidity did not occur. Conclusion: This effective and stable technique will be a good alternative for the patients who need large amount of distraction and for adult patients with severe maxillary hypoplasia or syndromic craniosynostosis.

A PET-MR system is particularly useful in diagnosing brain diseases. We have developed a prototype positron emission tomography (PET) system which can be inserted into the bore of a whole-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system that enables us to obtain PET and MRI images simultaneously with a reduced cost. Silicon photomultipliers (SiPM) are appropriated as a PET detector at PET/MR system because detectors have a high gain and are insensitive to magnetic fields. Despite of its improved performance compared to that of PMT-based detectors, there is a problem of the photo-peak channel shift which is due to the increase of the temperature inside the ring detector. This problem will occur decreasing sensitivity of the PET and image distortion. In this paper, I quantitative analyze parameters of the KAIST SiPM depending on temperature by experiments. And I designed cooling methods in consideration of the degradation of sensors for correction of the temperature in the PET gantry. According to this research, we expect that distortive images and degradation of the sensitivity will not be occurred with using the above idea to reduce heat even if the PET system operates for a long time.
Experiments for validation of surface reflectance produced by Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite (KOMPSAT-3A) were conducted using Chinese Baotou (BTCN) data among four sites of the Radical Calibration Network (RadCalNet), a portal that provides spectrophotometric reflectance measurements. The atmosphere reflectance and surface reflectance products were generated using an extension program of an open-source Orfeo ToolBox (OTB), which was redesigned and implemented to extract those reflectance products in batches. Three image data sets of 2016, 2017, and 2018 were taken into account of the two sensor model variability, ver. 1.4 released in 2017 and ver. 1.5 in 2019, such as gain and offset applied to the absolute atmospheric correction. The results of applying these sensor model variables showed that the reflectance products by ver. 1.4 were relatively well-matched with RadCalNet BTCN data, compared to ones by ver. 1.5. On the other hand, the reflectance products obtained from the Landsat-8 by the USGS LaSRC algorithm and Sentinel-2B images using the SNAP Sen2Cor program were used to quantitatively verify the differences in those of KOMPSAT-3A. Based on the RadCalNet BTCN data, the differences between the surface reflectance of KOMPSAT-3A image were shown to be highly consistent with B band as -0.031 to 0.034, G band as -0.001 to 0.055, R band as -0.072 to 0.037, and NIR band as -0.060 to 0.022. The surface reflectance of KOMPSAT-3A also indicated the accuracy level for further applications, compared to those of Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2B images. The results of this study are meaningful in confirming the applicability of Analysis Ready Data (ARD) to the surface reflectance on high-resolution satellites.
