  • Investigated in this study are the modal characteristics of the eccentric cylindrical shells with fluid-filled annulus. Theoretical method is developed to find the natural frequencies of the shell using the finite Fourier expansion, and their results are compared with those of finite element method to verify the validation of the method developed. The effect of eccentricity on the modal characteristics of the shells is investigated using a finite element modeling.

  • Estimation of deformation capacity of non-flexural reinforced concrete members is proposed using basic concepts of limit analysis and the virtual work method. This new approach starts with construction of admissible stress field as for an equilibrium set. Failure mechanisms compatible with admissible stress fields are postulated as for displacement set. It is assumed that the ultimate deformations as result of failure mechanisms are controlled by ultimate strain of concrete in compression. The derived formula for deformability of deep beams in shear shows reasonable range of ultimate displacement.

  • Increase in use of deck plates is accelerated by a manpower shortage and the high cost of construction. Some of problems including fire resistance, waterproof, and low corrosion can be solved by development of new deck plates. This paper evaluates the structural performance of the LAMO Deck which metal laths instead of galvanized steel sheet is covered by mortar.

  • Deformability of RC members in shear after flexural yielding is limited and controlled by governing failure modes and material strength. Shear strength of members in D-regions has been explained by a direct load path (direct strut or arch action) and indirect load path (fan action or truss action). Indirect load path including truss action and fan action rely on bond along tension ties. Generally, superposition of two actions results in total shear strength when shear failure modes control. The ultimate deformation depends on controlling failure modes and thereby, their force transfer patterns. Proposed models are capable of explaining of limited deformability of RC members in D-regions.

  • In this study, we tried to find the factors that influenced appraisal and reward satisfaction in knowledge management, and to observe whether appraisal and reward satisfaction were related to employees' commitment to knowledge management. Analyzing valid 38 data in the organizational level, we found that only result validity and reward justness affected employee appraisal and reward satisfaction. Also, if was found that appraisal and reward satisfaction were related to employees' commitment to knowledge management. The implications of the findings and future research directions were discussed.

  • The Mt. Peakdu is situated in north of the main peninsula, commanding geographically coordinated between longitude W($127^{\circ}$ 15' - $128^{\circ}$ 00') to E($128^{\circ}$ 15'- $129^{\circ}$ 00'), between latitude from S($41^{\circ}$ 15'- $42^{\circ}$ 00') to N($42^{\circ}$ 10'- $42^{\circ}$ 40'). The Manjyang-Gul in Cheju volcanic island is situated in the south of the main peninsula, commanding the Korean Strait, geographically coordinated longitude N($33^{\circ}$ 32' 26") and E($126^{\circ}$ 46' 48"). The quantitative analysis using XRF of volcanic rock samples for the north of Lu- Ming- Feng in Mt. Peakdu Group and the Manjang-Gul in Cheju island was Performed. The major chemical components by group analysis are as follows; Peakdu-Mt. Cheju Peakdu-Mt. Cheju (1) $Na_2O$(3.29Wt% and 3.27Wt%) (2) MgO (3.95Wt% and 6.l5Wt%) (3) $Al_2O_3$((17.64Wt% and 15.l7Wt%) (4) $SiO_2$((50.62Wt% and 50.99Wt%) (5) $P_2O_5$ (0.36Wt% and 0.30Wt%) (6) $K_2O$ (1.37Wt% and 1.04Wt%) (7) CaO (8.56Wt% and 8.06Wt%) (8) $TiO_2$ (2.37Wt% and 2.l5Wt%) (9) MnO (0.llWt% and 0.l6Wt%) (10) $Fe_2O_3$(9.l2Wt% and 12.56Wt%) The Group analysis data were compared in the relation within the age of formation for $0.16{\pm}0.08Ma$ in Mt. Peakdu Group, and $0.42{\pm}42Ma$ or $0.42{\pm}42Ma$ in Cheju island for K-Ar age. The crystal structure are mixed crystal of monoclinic, hexagonal and triclinic system in Mt. Peakdu Group and mixed structure of triclinic and cubic system in Cheju volcanic island.ic island.

  • Objectives: To compare the efficacy of polyherbal Unani formulations in heavy menstrual bleeding due to endometrial hyperplasia. Methodology: A prospective, randomized comparative trial was conducted at Govt. Nizamia Tibbi College. Group A (n=20) received Itrifal Aftimoon 5g orally BID from menstruation day 3 to day 21 plus suprapubic Marham Dakhilyun application and per vaginally Marham Dakhilyun (5g) and Roghan Gul (10ml) application from menstruation day 5 to day 14. Group B (n=20) received Gulnar Farsi (2g), Phitakri Biryan (0.25g), Dammul Aqwain (0.25g), and Geru (2g), 2.5g powder orally BID, menstruation day 3 for 20 days plus Douche Bargh Sambhalu then Ḥamūl of Safuf Mazu (2g), Kalijiri (2g) and Roghan Gul (10ml) from menstruation day 3 to day 12 for 3 consecutive cycles. The primary outcome was pelvic ultrasound findings of endometrial thickness. The secondary outcome measures were improvement in haemoglobin percentage, change in menstrual flow and menstrual pattern. The level of significance was 5%. Results and conclusion: The intragroup comparison showed that the mean endometrial thickness at baseline and after treatment in groups A and B was extremely significantly different (P<0.0001). The intragroup comparison showed the mean haemoglobin percent at baseline and after treatment in group, A was significantly different (P<0.0001). After treatment, 50% and 60% of participants had normal duration and menstrual blood loss after treatment from baseline in Groups A and B respectively. However, further, phase II and III randomized standard controlled trials in larger samples are recommended to assess the efficacy of these group medicines.
