기존의 데스크톱 컴퓨터가 고정된 공간에서만 사용되는데 반해 개인용 정보단말기(PDA)는 이동하면서 사용이 가능하다는 특징 때문에 소형화면과 작은 부피, 가벼운 용량의 특징을 지닌다. 그러나 이러한 제한된 화면에서는 한 번에 볼 수 있는 정보량이 적어 사용자 중심의 PDA용 GUI 아이콘 설계를 위해서는 우선 PC와 PDA간의 호환을 자유롭게 하는 인터페이스 디자인이 선행되어야 한다. 기존 소형화면에서는 한 번에 볼 수 있는 정보량이 적기 때문에 전체에 대한 개관이 불가능했고, 많은 정보를 담으면, 내용이해가 어려웠는데, 본 논문에서는 효율적인 GUI 아이콘 설계를 통해 정보의 ‘집중’과 ‘선택’ 이 가능한 PDA의 인터페이스 디자인을 알아보고자 한다. 대량 정보를 작은 화면에 종합적으로 담아내어 개관을 가능하게 하고, 정보의 내용과 가치를 아이콘의 크기와 색, 수직 혹은 수평적인 움직임 등의 시각화를 통해 차별화시킴으로써 개별 정보내용의 이해를 가능하게 한다. 앞으로 PDA와 PC의 표준화된 호환 가능한 브라우저가 모든 PDA에 기본 인터페이스로 장착된다면, 다른 매체들 간의 데이터 전송 시스템의 호환을 순조롭게 하여 경제적인 파급 효과 뿐만 아니라 차세대 이동통신의 영역까지 확장하여 산업적인 파급효과도 클 것으로 예상된다.

This paper suggests a implements and a design of class diagram authorization tool based on the MVC pattern. It defines and descries the structure of ClassInformation, ScreenDisplay and ToolManager. ClassInformation is responsible for processing or handling information of a diagram. ScreenDisplay is responsible for GUI to configure the screen of the authorization tool. ToolManager is responsible for event handling to process I/O of the authorization tool. Based on MVC pattern, ClassInformation, ScreenDisplay and ToolManager of the authorization tool are assigned each role independently. It is flexible to new requirement, because of loose coupling.

With the rapid growth of recent smart phone technology, the interests for the design of online game in mobile computing environment are highly focussed on with great attention. Smart phone as a mobile terminal device, however, has many restrictions for implementing online mobile game since the limitation of relatively low performance of a processor, low resolution of GUI, small memory spaces, and short battery power. Therefore, most of games are very restricted on online and multi-play functions. In this paper, we design and implement mobile online game app in component based smart phone environment in order to take over these restrictions in mobile environment. Especially, the implemented mobile game is able to play online game among Wi-Fi based game server and another smart phone.

When testing various images outdoors with an infrared imaging system, it is necessary to save the tested images for comparison. In addition, after the test, it should be possible to easily connect to the PC and download the stored data. With the recent development of the memory system, it is possible to design an infrared image storage board for an outdoor test by using the eMMC memory that can be easily used in the form of an on board. In this paper, we describe the design of a portable image storage board that can easily store and download infrared images, and describe the GUI program that can connect to a PC and download the stored images.

The IPTV which was commercialized and is being serviced to customers at present has a complicated GUI (Graphical User Interface) to provide two-way services and a remote control containing more than 40 buttons unlike the conventional TV. Accordingly, the remote control becomes one of the causes that make the usability of the IPTV worsen. In this paper, we suggest a LED button guide system as a solution to improve a usability of the IPTV, and analyze the effects of the interface obtained from the user evaluation on the user action.

Damage of the road flooding has recently increased because of torrential rains. However, its prevention is in poor situation. In this study, we propose system expressing an information of flood risk for announcing to drivers to prevent damage of flooding or traffic jams. Our system implements on GUI enviroment that users can easily know the danger of road flooding using C# Language and ArcObjects API. If users use this system, they can know how dangerous of flooding.

It has been designed GUI(graphic user interface) to consult the convenience of a input data and the flexibility that can be retrieved dismantling information relation to decommissioning DB of KRR1&2. The GUI can proceed an input materials and a search and output of a saved data in server based on a facility code and also have a function of explorer which can find the lower dismantling objects in each facilities. It has added the structure of the multimedia that could be showed a series of dismantling activities with a Mpeg and pictures into the GUI. In the future work, Decommissioning DB and User Interface are intend to contribute a functions that could be evaluate and analyze for a dismantling activities with a engineering theory.

In this study, a simple, efficient, user-based program called SCAR was developed for evaluating the sliding and collapse of artificial reefs due to hydrodynamic forces in ocean environments. SCAR was developed by applying Delphi code and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based on the Morison formula for evaluating and analyzing the stability of artificial reefs. SCAR can be applied widely for design and stability evaluation of fishery structures (such as artificial reefs or other underwater structures) in undergraduate and graduate courses and by experts in the field.

The present Web surroundings is composed of HTML(Hypertext Mark-up Language) and thereby users obtains web informations mainly in GUI(Graphical User Interface) environment by clicking mouse in order to keep up with hyperlinked informations. However it is very inconvenient to work in this environment comparing with easily accessed one in which human's voice is utilized for obtaining informations. Using VoiceXML, resulted from XML, for supplying the information through telephone on the basis of the contemporary matured technology of voice recognition/synthesis to work out the inconvenience problem, this paper presents the research results about VoiceXML Web Browser designed and implemented for realizing its technology.

The study of Web MGIS(Marine Geographic Information System) based on the SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) is mainly performed on effective methodologies which transform real world data to computing world data. Web GUI system has its own target on reliable data service by acquisition of geometric information using HYCOM(HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model), accurate measurement and graphical visualization. This type of raw data visualization can be built without software tools, yet is incredibly useful for interpreting and communicating data. Even simple visualizations can aid in the interpretation of complex hydrodynamic relationships that are frequently encountered in the marine environment. The Web MGIS provides an easy way for hydrodynamic geoscientists to construct complex visualizations that can be viewed with free software. This study proposes a Web GUI MGIS using FVCOM(Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Model). Finally, we design a Marine Web GUI system of Kosrae Coastal Waters integrating above data models. It must adds more ecological information and the various service item for approach more easily in order to user.
