Design of Gain-Scheduled Controllers for Linear Systems with Input Constraints (제한된 입력 특성을 갖는 선형 시스템의 이득 계획 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, we considered the design of gain scheduled controllers for linear systems with input constraints. The gain scheduled control is a method that uses larger control gain when the states are smaller, and smaller gain when it is larger. By doing this, we can use a full actuator capacity. Also we allow the over-saturation in control to improve the performance. First, we derive a control and a reachable set expressed as LMI form, while minimizing the $L_2$ gain from the disturbance to the measured output. Next, the reachable set is divided as nested subsets, and the control gains are obtained by minimizing the $L_2$ gain at each nested subset. Finally, the control gains are scheduled according to the status of states, i.e., the nested-subset in which the states are located. Performance of the proposed technique is illustrated through simulations of a six-story building subject to earthquake ground motion.

  • Tap water should be shown the complexity of measures neccessary to secure water quality, especially with respect to drinking and bathing. Designated reservoirs Paldang and Daechung as the Special Environment Protection Areas to regulate new pollution sources and to facilitate construction of wastewater treatment facilities. In this country, 91% of total drinking water resource, consist of 66% stream water, 25% dam water, 7% dune flitrate, 1% each of spring and ground water, are from the surface water. The total volume of annual mean water resources due to precipitation. Over 8% of the total resources are class III as shown in the table., eapecially the water quality of downstream of Nakdong and Yeongsan river are getting worse due to continued economic and social development.

  • A high embankment is generally constructed by dividing into several sub-embankments. Unlike any soil embankment, a rock embankment is constructed by means of dynamic compaction. Such a sub-embankment and dynamic compaction may induce an increase of pressure at the lower part of embankment and cause a different behavior of ground from initial status. In this study, settlement of a high rock embankment is estimated using a hyperbolic model taking into construction history. The results from prediction are compared with those obtained from field measurements and large plate loading tests.

  • The Mission environment of UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) has a complexity and variety, and the status of system and sensor is dependent on the environment factors such as operation time, the weather and road type. It is necessary for UGV to cope adaptively with the various mission types, operation modes and operation environment as human operators do. To satisfy this necessity, we present an autonomy manager based on the autonomous architecture. In this paper, we design a path planning software architecture and LPP manager by using open autonomous architecture which is previously designed by ADD. Field test is conducted with UGV in order to verify the performance of LPP Manager based on the Autonomous Architecture with scenarios.

  • Through the surge of intelligence-based technology, in which information and communication are the main production means, and the ground-breaking innovation of technology, computing, communication, broadcasting have integrated. And this have led to automated, information-based and communication networked society, and the information age. To cope with this movement toward information-based society, offices of interior design are increasingly taking advantage of the Internet and searching for e-commerce business. Many interior design onces have opened up homepages and interior design-related companies are currently in preparation for new advertisement and marketing through the Internet. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of Internet usage by interior design-related websites and information for maintenance of such websites. This study analyzes these websites by their contents and solutions.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest field-oriented policy of regional innovation support system. To accomplish this purpose, we examined the status quo of technical support, performance satisfaction of consumers and practical issues. The key factors influencing core technical innovation of small and medium firms are development fund, R&D employees, experimental instrument, technical information, protection of intellectual property, subcontracting and so on. To make sure of practical effect, therefore, it would rather necessary to implement policy support linking government and supporting means on the ground of needs of small and medium firms than specific method such as funding.

  • Unmanned Aircraft System(UAS) is a huge and complicated system that is composed of UAV, ground control system, datalink system, and mission equipments. We have applied system engineering to development of UAS. Configuration management is very important activity for efficient developments. The Configuration management process comprises four distinct disciplines (Configuration identification, Configuration control, Configuration status accounting, and Configuration audit). This paper explains the configuration management system of UAS development project which ADD executes and introduces several examples of these four disciplines.

  • Cultural assets are subject to general elements of deterioration due to aging of materials and surrounding conditions over time and these elements do not influence structural safety. However, wood cracking(penetrative), disparity of joints, deformation of structure, damage by insects and ground subsidence as the elements of structural deterioration as well as slanting of building structure caused by composite elements exert serious impact on safety of cultural assets. Therefore, repair must be administered by deciding the appropriate time and investigating the status. However, there are no grounds for making such decisions because investigative data on cultural assets have not been organized analyzed and the results of investigation have not been established as database. There is also lack of objectified bases. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate organize elements of structural deterioration with reference to cultural assets of building structures in Seoul so that to use the results found as the basic data for preservation of cultural assets.

  • LMTT (linear motor-based transfer technology) is horizontal transfer system in the maritime container terminal for the port automation. For LMTT system, shuttle cars are used instead of other types of cars. They are running on the routes which are stable on the terminal ground made of steel. The terminal scheduling complexity increases with the need of improving automation. It is necessary to make a good designed performance for the terminal system. This work presents a dispatching role using fuzzy logic for the shuttle cars. It considers the actual status of terminals and takes decisions on real time. A simulation is done to validate the role and two other dispatching rules to be compared.

  • In this study, we investigate the sources of system malfunctions by measuring and diagnosing various surges and noise signals from grounding systems for electrical and electronic systems and installations in order to ensure the reliability and stability of the system operations. We measured performance or structural problems detected in the grounding systems currently in operation and analyzed the measured data in order to eliminate noise currents and interferences causing the systems to malfunction and be damaged. Based on the analysis results, we proposed improving grounding systems and the wiring arrangements most appropriate for the grounding systems and carried out the installations as per the proposed engineering. We verified that the proposed engineering made the status of system operations improved by measuring the ground noise signals during the system operations and comparing them before and after improvements being carried out.
