Analysis on ACO Algorithm for Searching Shortest Path (최단경로 탐색을 위한 ACO 알고리즘의 비교 분석)

  • 최근 ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems)의 개발과 함께 차량용 내비게이션의 사용이 급증하면서 경로탐색의 중요성이 더욱 가속화되고 있다. 현재 차량용 내비게이션은 멀티미디어 및 정보통신 기술의 결합과 함께 다양한 기능 및 정보를 사용자에게 제공하고 있으며 이러한 기능과 정보를 사용해서 목적지점까지의 최단경로를 탐색하는 것이 내비게이션 시스템의 핵심기능이다. 이러한 경로탐색 알고리즘은 교통시스템, 통신 네트워크, 운송 시스템은 물론 이동 로봇의 경로 설정 등 다양한 분야에 사용되고 있다. 개미 집단 최적화(Ant Colony Optimization, ACO) 알고리즘은 메타 휴리스틱 탐색 방법으로 그리디 탐색(Greedy Search)뿐만 아니라 긍정적 반응의 탐색을 사용한 모집단에 근거한 접근법으로 순환 판매원 문제(Traveling Salesman Problem, TSP)를 풀기 위해 처음으로 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 개미 집단 최적화(ACO) 알고리즘이 기존의 경로 탐색 알고리즘으로 알려진 Dijkstra 보다 최단경로 탐색에 있어서 더 적합한 알고리즘이라는 것을 설명하고자 한다.

Mining Highly Reliable Dense Subgraphs from Uncertain Graphs

  • The uncertainties of the uncertain graph make the traditional definition and algorithms on mining dense graph for certain graph not applicable. The subgraph obtained by maximizing expected density from an uncertain graph always has many low edge-probability data, which makes it low reliable and low expected edge density. Based on the concept of ${\beta}$-subgraph, to overcome the low reliability of the densest subgraph, the concept of optimal ${\beta}$-subgraph is proposed. An efficient greedy algorithm is also developed to find the optimal ${\beta}$-subgraph. Simulation experiments of multiple sets of datasets show that the average edge-possibility of optimal ${\beta}$-subgraph is improved by nearly 40%, and the expected edge density reaches 0.9 on average. The parameter ${\beta}$ is scalable and applicable to multiple scenarios.

A Chinese Restaurant Game for Distributed Cooperative Caching in Small Cell Networks

  • Wireless content caching in small cell networks has recently been considered as a promising way to alleviate the congestion of the backhaul in emerging heterogenous cellular network. However, how to select files which are cached in SBSs and how to make SBSs work together is an important issue for cooperative cache research for the propose of reducing file download time. In this paper, a Cooperative-Greedy strategy (CGS) among cache-enabled small base stations (SBSs) in small cell network is proposed, in order to minimize the download time of files. This problem is formulated as a Chinese restaurant game.Using this game model, we can configure file caching schemes based on file popularity and the spectrum resources allocated to several adjacent SBSs. Both the existence and uniquencess of a Nash equilibrium are proved. In the theoretical analysis section, SBSs cooperate with each other in order to cache popular files as many as possible near UEs. Simulation results show that the CGS scheme outperforms other schemes in terms of the file-download time.

Latency Hiding based Warp Scheduling Policy for High Performance GPUs

  • LRR(Loose Round Robin) warp scheduling policy for GPU architecture results in high warp-level parallelism and balanced loads across multiple warps. However, traditional LRR policy makes multiple warps execute long latency operations at the same time. In cases that no more warps to be issued under long latency, the throughput of GPUs may be degraded significantly. In this paper, we propose a new warp scheduling policy which utilizes latency hiding, leading to more utilized memory resources in high performance GPUs. The proposed warp scheduler prioritizes memory instruction based on GTO(Greedy Then Oldest) policy in order to provide reduced memory stalls. When no warps can execute memory instruction any more, the warp scheduler selects a warp for computation instruction by round robin manner. Furthermore, our proposed technique achieves high performance by using additional information about recently committed warps. According to our experimental results, our proposed technique improves GPU performance by 12.7% and 5.6% over LRR and GTO on average, respectively.

  • 차량 애드 혹 네트워크는 도심 교차로에서 도로의 특성과 차량의 높은 이동성으로 인해 네트워크의 단절이 자주 일어난다. 향상된 지리기반 라우팅 프로토콜인 GBSR(Greedy Border Superiority Routing)은 V2V(Vehicle-to-Vehicle)에 적합하다. 그러나 탐욕모드에서 stale노드가 로컬최대에 직면하는 문제를 가지고 있다. EGBSR(Enhanced GBSR)은 반대 방향의 차량과 같은 방향의 차량에게 보내는 비콘 메시지와 도로 정보를 관리하는 테이블을 이용하여 경로를 탐색하고 설정된 경로를 통해 패킷을 보낸다. 이를 통해 소스노드가 목적지노드에 빠르고 안전하게 패킷을 전달할 수 있는 양방향 라우팅 기법 제안한다.

Bidirectional Link Resource Allocation Strategy in GFDM-based Multiuser SWIPT Systems

  • In order to enhance system energy efficiency, bidirectional link resource allocation strategy in GFDM-based multiuser SWIPT systems is proposed. In the downlink channel, each SWIPT user applies power splitting (PS) receiver structure in information decoding (ID) and non-linear energy harvesting (EH). In the uplink channel, information transmission power is originated from the harvested energy. An optimization problem is constructed to maximize weighted sum ID achievable rates in the downlink and uplink channels via bidirectional link power allocation as well as subcarriers and subsymbols scheduling. To solve this non-convex optimization problem, Lagrange duality method, sub-gradient-based method and greedy algorithm are adopted respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy is superior to the fixed subcarrier scheme regardless of the weighting coefficients. It is superior to the heuristic algorithm in larger weighting coefficients scenario.

  • Density-based outlier detection is one of the hot issues in data mining. A point is determined as outlier on basis of the density of points near them. The existing density-based detection algorithms have high time complexity, in order to reduce the time complexity, a new outlier detection algorithm DODMD (Density-based Outlier Detection in Multidimensional Datasets) is proposed. Firstly, on the basis of ZH-tree, the concept of micro-cluster is introduced. Each leaf node is regarded as a micro-cluster, and the micro-cluster is calculated to achieve the purpose of batch filtering. In order to obtain n sets of approximate outliers quickly, a greedy method is used to calculate the boundary of LOF and mark the minimum value as LOFmin. Secondly, the outliers can filtered out by LOFmin, the real outliers are calculated, and then the result set is updated to make the boundary closer. Finally, the accuracy and efficiency of DODMD algorithm are verified on real dataset and synthetic dataset respectively.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)은 노드를 차량으로 가정하는 개념의 MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network)로서 노드의 빠른 이동으로 인해 급격한 토폴로지의 변화가 일어난다. 하지만 차량 노드의 이동은 도로 상에서 제한되어 있기 때문에 토폴로지에 대한 상대적인 예측 가능성을 가지고 있다. 이는 교통이 혼잡한 도로 환경에서 그리디 기법을 이용하여 다음 홉을 결정할 때 보다 높은 정확성을 제공할 수 있어 경유 노드의 수와 포워딩 실패를 최소화한다. 본 논문은 위기 정보와 운전 시스템 정보를 기반으로 하는 차량 간 통신 라우팅 최적화 기법을 제안하고 기존의 GPSR(Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing) 기법과 SAR(Spatial Aware Routing) 기법과의 비교를 통해 효율성과 신뢰성의 향상을 증명하였다.

  • GPSR은 차량간 ad hoc 네트워크에서 위치기반 라우팅을 위하여 개발된 알고리즘이다. GPSR에서의 라우팅은 Greedy Forwarding을 사용하지만 차량 밀도가 높은 VANET환경에서는 한계가 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 새로운 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 본 논문에 제시된 기법은 밀도가 높은 환경과 밀도가 낮은 환경에서의 가중치를 설정하여 current node, next-hop node 그리고 destination node 간의 관계를 반영한 값들을 구하고 그 중에서 최소치 값을 가지는 next-hop을 선택한다. 특히 가중치를 기반으로 하면 차량이 밀집되거나 희박한 환경하에서 GPSR 보다 더 최적화된 경로를 찾아낸다. 성능평가는 수학적 모델과 네트워크 시뮬레이터인 NS를 이용하여 본 모델에 기반한 고속도로 시뮬레이션을 진행하였다. 결과적으로 볼 때, 본 논문에 제시된 기법은 시간 지연 측면에서 GPSR보다 나은 결과를 보여 주었다.

Energy Aware Landmark Election and Routing Protocol for Grid-based Wireless Sensor Network (그리드 기반 무선센서네트워크에서 에너지 인지형 Landmark 선정 및 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • In practice, it is well known that geographical and/or location based routing is highly effective for wireless sensor network. Here, electing some landmarks on the network and forwarding data based on the landmark is one of the good approaches for a vast sensing field with holes. In the most previous works, landmarks are elected without considering the residual energy on each sensor. In this paper, we propose an Energy aware Landmark Election and Routing (ELER) protocol to establish a stable routing paths and reduce the total power consumption. The proposed protocol makes use of each sensor's energy level on electing the landmarks, which would be utilized to route a packet towards the target region using greedy forwarding method. Our simulation results illustrate that the proposed scheme can significantly reduce the power dissipation and effectively lengthen the lifetime of the network.
