  • This paper deals with a post-processing of GPS receiver data in order to acquire a reference flight trajectory of an aircraft test. The flight test using an aircraft that is carried out several times since 2007 is the integrated test to verify the performance of the tracking and communications facilities in Naro Space Center and Jeju Tracking Center. In order to analyze performance of the tracking and navigation equipments, true reference data should be used for performance comparisons. Therefore off-the-shelf commercial GPS receiver, DL-V3 made by NovAtel Inc., is operated on the test to collect the GPS navigation data and the collected data is post-processed by GrafNav which is the off-the-shelf post-processing program made by NovAtel Inc. Through the post-processing of the collected data, a reference trajectory is generated with small error range about several decade centimeter level.

  • The tracking antenna must always point to track moving vehicle for data link. In this paper, we determine pointing angle from the geometric relationship of antenna and UAV(Unmaned Aerial Vehicle) to let an antenna be toward a moving vehicle. The pointing angle of antenna is set through GPS measurement data installed in antenna and UAV. We verify the performance of this system from the fixing a camcoder on the antenna.

  • This paper shows simulation results for stability and performance of two INS/GPS integration systems. First, the code tracking error of GPS receiver is analyzed by spectrum analysis and simulated for the tight and loose INS/GPS integrations. Next, stability of the integrated systems are simulated using root locus method. As loop filter in the GPS receiver, passive filter and active filter are used and compared.

  • To overcome the limitation of tracking speed on signal-shaded area and the discontinuity of GPS, we present a system which estimates the speed of moving object using GPS and accelerometer. This system is designed to correct accelerometer's noises which are caused by vibration and impact to the object and errors of itself, from the navigation information of GPS receiver and accelerometer which are installed to moving object. And using this information, it estimates the speed of moving object on GPS signal-shaded area to complement discontinuity of GPS navigation information. We designed Kalman Filter structure using GPS and accelerometer to apply this system, and verify that the system can estimate object's speed on GPS signal-shaded area. Finally, we present the possibilities applying to telematics systems like automatic navigation system.

  • In this paper, results for an installation and operation of a GPS jammer localization system were analyzed. The jammer localization system was developed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute and it consists of 4 Receiver Stations, a Central Tracking Station, and a Monitoring Station. The system was installed at Incheon International Airport in November 2014; each Receiver Stations were installed at rooftop of buildings apart from 4km, and the Central Tracking Station and a Monitoring Station were installed at indoor. Results of the operation can be monitored through web-browser in real-time, Korea Aerospace Research Institute and Incheon International Airport Corporation are continuously monitoring them. So far, there is no jamming signal which affects GPS receivers around the airport, however, some abnormal signals were frequently received at Receiver Stations. Therefore, the characteristics of those signals were also analyzed in this paper.

  • In this paper, we analysis the effect of error of code tracking and frequency tracking according to the chip delay of spoofing signal through the simulation. Firstly, we investigate the type of spoofing signal and defense technical of spoofing attack. For simulation, we generated the intermediate spoofing signal using the software GNSS signal generator simulator(SGGS), the intermediate spoofers synchronize its counterfeit GPS signals with the current broadcast GPS signals. The software GPS receiver simulator(SGRS) received the spoofing signal and normal signal from SGGS, and process the signals. In paper, we can check that the DLL and PLL tracking loop error are generated and pseudo-range is changed non-linear according to chip delay of spoofing signal when the spoofing signal is entered. As a result, we can check that navigation solution is incorrectly effected by spoofing signal.

  • In this paper, we proposed on the azimuth correction method for a line-of-sight data-link tracking antenna system. Tracking antenna system is essential to maintain line-of-sight between moving object and data-link equipment. In order to calculate the azimuth and elevation between the moving object and antenna system, we used GPS data. also to match the each coordinate systems, we used geomagnetic sensor or beacon. However, the geomagnetic disturbance-prone terrain in places difficult to correct calibration. The first step, finds the location of the strongest RF signal, we should remember the difference between the reference point and the detected position of the antenna. The second step, we could communicate each other. And the azimuth angle is calculated by GPS values. Despite the geomagnetic interference, we can correct the azimuth angle quickly and easily.

  • Recently, the missing due to the heinous crimes occurred in succession has been the focus of attention, so measures for these are urgently needed. So, it is necessary that we need to check and take care the weak like children, women, the elderly with dementia and insane person to prevent these social problems. This study is location-based service that suggests the tracking system and way to guard a family and property from the various risk factors which are possible in our life. To acquire the location of the user who is in motion, a communications network technologies were integrated and the system will be able to be monitoring in real time through the website. So, it is convenient and safe because it is possible to use anywhere. Concretely, it was described around location-based service, GPS system, tracking system, process of the service solution and composition for the system. Also, the way to activate the system will be suggested. The final suggested system was verified the possibility through the placement. With this, i will offer effective measures which is more convenient to use and reliable.

  • The water deer (Hydropotes inermis) is one of the most primitive extant deer of the family Cervidae. Unlike Chinese water deer, Korean water deer have rarely been studied, even though they have relatively well remained in Korea. In particular, the home range of the Korean water deer has not yet been studied. Here we estimated the home range of the Korean water deer using two different methods (GPS and radio tracking) and analyzed the home range according to sex, time, and season. The mean home range size of four individuals was 2.77 $km^2$ and 0.34 $km^2$ under the 95% minimum convex polygon (MCP) and the 50% kernel (K) method, respectively. There seemed to be a difference in home range size between males (3.30 $km^2$) and females (2.25 $km^2$) under the 95% MCP method. We also found a difference in home range size between day (1.90 $km^2$) and night (2.43 $km^2$) by 95% MCP method. In addition, a home range size difference was observed between summer (4.65 $km^2$) and spring (0.48 $km^2$) or fall (0.85 $km^2$) using the 95% MCP method. Water deer seemed to have a larger home range in night than in day, and males also have a larger home range. We presumed that the GPS tracking method of the code division multiple access system could be a very useful tool for understanding the ecology of the water deer using the radio tracking method. Using these tracking methods and through future research, we can better understand the habitat use pattern of these water deer.

  • In military operations, an accurate localization system is required to navigate soldiers to their destinations, even in non-GPS environments. The global positioning system is a commonly used localization method, but it is difficult to maintain the robustness of GPS-based localization against jamming of signals. In addition, GPS-based localization cannot provide important terrain information such as obstacles. With the widespread use of embedded sensors, sensor-based pedestrian tracking schemes have become an attractive option. However, because of noisy sensor readings, pedestrian tracking systems using motion sensors have a major drawback in that errors in the estimated displacement accumulate over time. We present a group-based standalone system that creates terrain maps automatically while also locating soldiers in mountainous terrain. The system estimates landmarks using inertial sensors and utilizes split group information to improve the robustness of map construction. The evaluation shows that our system successfully corrected and combined the drift error of the system localization without infrastructure.
