Lode Location Management Using RSSI Regression Analysis in Wireless Sensor Network (RSSI의 회귀 분석을 이용한 무선센서노드의 위치관리)

  • One of the key technical challenges of wireless sensor network (WSN) is location management of sensor nodes. Typical node location management methods use GPS, ultrasonic sensors or RSSI. In this paper we propose a new location management method which adopts regression analysis of RSSI measurement to improve the accuracy of sensor node position estimation. We also evaluated the performance of proposed method by comparing the experimental results with existing scheme. According to the results, our proposed method, LM-RAR, shows better accuracy than existing location management scheme using RSSI and Friis' equation.

  • Development of new information and traffic technology causes fast-growing in the field of information-based system. At recent, development of LBS(Location Based Service) makes a remarkable growth of industry as GPS(Global Positioning System) becomes wide-spread and location information becomes more important. However, there is a problem like infringement of privacy when location information is used improperly[1]. In this paper, LBS platform is proposed in order to prevent infringement of privacy. To implement, we classify user path as pattern in a zone of user life. Thereupon, location information is provided according to user' specific situation.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a bus information notification application based on the GPS sensor of a smartphone. This application provides the ability to check bus stops within a radius of 200m based on the current user's location using the smartphone's GPS sensor, Google Map, and open API. In addition, if you click the marker of the desired stop, you can see the name of the stop, and click the view arrival information button to check the detailed bus arrival information of the stop. In addition, it provides a function to check the location information of pharmacies, nonghyups, and post offices that sell public masks, the names of public mask stores, and mask inventory through the public mask store button. Each icon was used differently to make visual differences in order to easily indicate the difference between the times of public mask sales and bus stops. In addition, if you want to know the information of other bus stops and the route of the desired bus, not around the user's location, click the bus stop search button. Finally, after storing the destination stop or location, it implements a function that provides an alarm when it approaches the location.

Outdoor Localization for a Quad-rotor using Extended Kalman Filter and Path Planning (확장 칼만 필터와 경로계획을 이용한 쿼드로터 실외 위치 추정)

  • This paper proposes a new technique that produces improved local information using a low-cost GPS/INS system combined with Extended Kalman Filter and Path Planning when a Quad-rotor flies. In the research, a low-cost GPS is combined with INS by Extended Kalman Filter to improve local information. However, this system has disadvantages in that estimation accuracy is getting worsens when the Quad-rotor flies through the air in a curve and precision of location information is influenced by performance of the used GPS. An algorithm based on Path Planning is adopted to deal with these weaknesses. When the Quad-rotor flies outdoors, a short moving path can be predicted because all short moving paths of quad-rotor can be assumed to be straight. Path planning is used to make the short moving path and determine the closest local information of data of the GPS/INS system to location determined by path planning. Through the foregoing process, improved local data is obtained when the quad-rotor flies, and the performance of the proposed system is verified from various outdoor experiments.

  • In this paper, in order to encourage the user's exercise, we presented an exercise goal that considers the user's weight and exercise state, and dealt with a study on an app that gives a goal using GPS information. Unlike the vague numbers and times suggested in the existing app, it is presented specifically with the surrounding buildings or structures using GPS information. In addition, to use competitive psychology to exercise encouragement, it shows the movement information of people connected to the app and allows users to use the competitive psychology to get the effect of exercising many people. The app creates coordinates of major buildings and sets markings using the Naver Map SDK location information to present specific targets. It is easy for users to get bored if they give a goal every time, and the boredom that the user feels decreases the interest in the exercise. In order to not to lose interest in athletic interest. the app switches to game mode and give a light goal that doesn't matter user's weight or exercise status, and rewards user for achieving the suggested goals. Game mode is added to app that connects a person's will to practice. It adds fun elements to create interest, and uses competitiveness to help you live a healthy life with a steady workout. Technically, to improve the accuracy of smart-phone map display using GPS and the tilt processing was to be able to display the exact location.

  • As the amount of the wireless mobile products like a 'Smart phone' used increases, the studies about the Location Based Service (LBS) is highly increasing. Outdoor location determination can use the GPS which is built-in in the wireless mobile products. However, it is not possible to use GPS inside the huge cruise bigger than a normal building, it is regarded to consider Indoor location determination which is appropriate at the inside environment. Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) does not need an extra installation process because it is already installed here and there inside the building. In this respect, Wi-Fi has low price competitiveness compared to other wireless sensor products. In this paper, I will introduce 'Bayesian Algorithm' which can recognize useful space with Wi-Fi signal.

  • Smart care surveillance system provides the services to track users automatically by using the nearest CCTV cameras which are capable of monitoring them after the system searches for CCTV cameras around them by using the GPS location information received from them. Because users send their GPS location information with using their smart device when they are in emergency situation or want to be cared for, they may expect quick response of helper in this system. However, in the previous system, the selection time of camera which is capable of monitoring is increased rapidly as the management area is expended because the area management server selects the camera by sorting the distance between all of CCTV cameras and users, and then monitors them whenever they send the location information. In this paper, we propose the method to reduce the selection time of the CCTV cameras for tracking the users by searching only the cameras near to the CCTV cameras used to track them.

An Indirect Localization Scheme for Low- Density Sensor Nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 저밀도 센서 노드에 대한 간접 위치 추정 알고리즘)

  • Each sensor node can know its location in several ways, if the node process the information based on its geographical position in sensor networks. In the localization scheme using GPS, there could be nodes that don't know their locations because the scheme requires line of sight to radio wave. Moreover, this scheme is high costly and consumes a lot of power. The localization scheme without GPS uses a sophisticated mathematical algorithm estimating location of sensor nodes that may be inaccurate. AHLoS(Ad Hoc Localization System) is a hybrid scheme using both GPS and location estimation algorithm. In AHLoS, the GPS node, which can receive its location from GPS, broadcasts its location to adjacent normal nodes which are not GPS devices. Normal nodes can estimate their location by using iterative triangulation algorithms if they receive at least three beacons which contain the position informations of neighbor nodes. But, there are some cases that a normal node receives less than two beacons by geographical conditions, network density, movements of nodes in sensor networks. We propose an indirect localization scheme for low-density sensor nodes which are difficult to receive directly at least three beacons from GPS nodes in wireless network.

  • In this paper, we implement the signboard voice guidance service for visually impaired person using virtual beacon. The new location to provide a location-based service can be added easily by using virtual beacons, which are locating by Wi-fi, GPS, and so on, instead of physical beacons, which are locating by physical devices. We provide the voice service for guiding information of the captured signboard for the visually impaired when he arrived at the location registered through the virtual beacon.

  • 본 논문에서는 플루터, 파이어베이스와 구글맵을 기반으로 라즈베리파이에 GPS 모듈을 장착하여 위치 정보를 실시간으로 받아 대형견, 소형견 위치를 파악하여 경고 알림을 송신하고 자신의 애완동물과 거리가 멀어지게 된다면 경고 알림을 송신하여 대형견에 의한 피해 사례를 감소시키고 유실 및 실종 동물 사례를 감소시킨다. 또한 게시판을 통해서 산책 친구와 산책 아르바이트를 구할 수 있는 기능을 추가하고 산책 시 유의 사항, 오픈웨더를 통해 날씨 등 산책에 필요한 정보들을 추가하여 산책 시 위험한 요소를 해결할 수 있고 필요한 요소를 통합한 애플리케이션을 개발한다.
