본 연구에서는 GIS 기반의 환지설계방식을 도입하여 환지업무에 사용되는 도형과 속성자료를 GIS데이터로 구축하고 공간데이터 결합 및 속성을 연계(Link)하여 환지설계업무를 수행하였다.

This paper reviews the topic of GIS, the academic setting of GIS, GIS model curricula and the possibility GIS education in Korea. The topics which might be included in a science of geographic information consist of data collection and measurement, data capture, spatial statistics, data modeling and theories of spatial data, data structures, algorithms and processes, display, analytical tools, institutional, managerial and ethical issues. The problems in teaching a course on GIS in higher education are reviewed. Because of their technological, integrative, and rapidly changing nature, GIS pose major challenges to their education system which it is ill equipped to meet. In higher education a number of initiatives have been taken to provide education about and training with, GIS. The possible GIS curricula are suggested. These curricula are divided into 3 major sections, relating GIS context, technical issues and application issues. The prospects of GIS appears lo depend largely upon the future cooperation of academia, government, and industry

Using geospatial information in the early design phase is crucial because it requires considerable time, money, and effort. We use VWorld, part of the National Spatial Information Distribution system provided by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, for providing geospatial information to building designers. We provide methods to adopt VWorld geospatial information to building design and develop plugins for a BIM authoring tool to transform and construct necessary BIM data in a user-friendly format. BIM users are benefitted from extra design information supplied from sibling disciplines such as urban design. GIS users are benefited by feedback building information continuously supplied from building projects based upon standard GIS coordinates. It is clear that an architectural designer with BIM tool can save time and efforts to obtain the geospatial information related a project using the developed system as result of this research.

The purpose of this study is to search GIS education in High School in Korea. Firstly, Expanded Content of GIS in the 7th National Curriculum call upon increased demand of GIS education. Secondly, It is urgent to development of GIS Education Program, There is insufficient practical instruction of GIS in High School because of ill-equipped environment. For that reason we proposed GIS program. Thirdly, It is necessary to integrate between 'Instruction about GIS' and 'GIS Assisted Instruction' in School. Finally, It is necessary to systematically prepare and study of GIS Education for the future National Curriculum.

최근 인터넷의 급속한 발달로 인하여 GIS는 특정 전문가들의 도구에서 일반인들이 일상생활에서 활용할 수 있는 도구로 변모해 가고 있다. 21세기 인터넷의 사용은 우리 생활의 일부가 될 것이며, 인터넷 GIS의 도입은 우리의 삶을 보다 풍요롭게 하리라 예견된다. 본 글에서는 GIS의 발달과정을 살펴보고, 21세기를 맞이하여 인터넷 GIS의 도입으로 아니하여 행정분야, 교통분야, 문화분야, 주거분야등에 미칠 영향을 예견해 보고, 이미 인터넷 GIS서비스를 제공하고 있는 사이트를 살펴보았다.

국내외 인터넷 포탈을 중심으로 지도와 멀티카메라자료가 서비스되고 있다. 이러한 서비스는 GIS자료를 영상위에 표현하기에는 위치와 자세 정보가 부정확하다. 이에 GPS/INS를 이용하여 보다 정밀한 위치 자세 정보를 취득하고 이를 이용하여 GIS자료를 영상에 투영하였다. 이는 GIS자료의 활용도를 높이는 계기가 될 것이다.

Three-dimensional GIS, which provides spatial information through expression techniques of virtual reality close to the real world and the web, is one of the fields that attract a new attention. In particular, Open GIS Consortium(OGC) announced a topological relationship specification of spatial object which supports interoperability while interest in interoperability of spatial data is increasing. However, this specification is limited to two-dimensional spatial object. So this research established a topological relationship of three-dimensional spatial object in order to improve urban landscape and provide a foundation to use GIS. Based on this, this study proposes ways to visualize landscape information which is appropriate for new town's circumstances. It can be concluded that this research has a bigger meaning since it established a base of sharing information about realistic urban landscape that can be accessed regardless of place and time.

The purpose of this study is to verify the technical possibilities and advantages of web GIS system, and its practical implementation for space management and information service accessible from anywhere. at anytime using ArcIMS on behalf of university facility management. It is found that the integration of GIS and web technology, in terms of its administrative and public service capabilities, carries many advantages in the aspects of time, cost, and effort saving. Finally, practical system architecture is proposed with its database structuring method for space management of university facility.

이 연구는 고등학교에서 GIS 교육의 현재와 발전 방향에 대하여 살펴보았다. 첫째, 최근 개편된 고등학교 교육과정에서는 GIS에 대한 내용과 비중이 늘어났으며, 이에 따라 GIS 교육에 대한 관심과 수요가 커지고 있다. 둘째, GIS 교육을 위한 GIS 교육 프로그램 개발이 시급한 상황이다. 교과 과정 설정에 부합되는 교육 프로그램과 제반 환경이 부족하여 교수-학습 현장에서의 GIS 교육이 활발히 진행되지 못하였다. 이에 본 연구는 기본적인 GIS 교육 프로그램을 제안하였다. 셋째, 향후 학교 교육에서 GIS 교육은 ‘GIS를 활용한 교육’과 ‘GIS에 대한 교육’의 통합이 바람직한 것으로 분석되었다. 정보화가 진행될수록 GIS 교육의 중요성이 높아지게 될 것이다. 현재 GIS 교육을 담당하고 있는 ‘지리’ 과목을 중심으로 이에 대한 체계적 준비와 연구가 필요하다.

제1차와 제2차 ‘국가지리정보체계(NGIS)구축기본계획’ 을 시행하면서 체계적인 GIS기반이 마련되어 중앙정부와 지방자치단체 등 공공부문을 중심으로 다양한 부문에서 GIS구축사업이 추진되었다. 그러나 GIS사업은 초기 막대한 구축비용과 사업완료이후에도 유지관리비용이 지속적으로 소요되기 때문에 그 타당성이 가시적으로 나타나지 않으면 사업의 추진이 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 체계적이고 과학적인 효과분석을 위한 GIS사업의 평가모형을 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 웹 기반의 GIS 효과분석시스템을 구현하였다. 본 연구의 GIS 효과분석시스템은 최신의 정확한 정보와 검증된 분석방법을 실시간 제공하기 위해 웹 기반으로 설 계 하였다. 왱 기반의 분석시스템은 GIS사업의 효과분석에 있어 시ㆍ공간의 제약을 받지 않고 GIS사업의 효과평가를 가능하게 한다. 또한 GIS사업의 효과측정에 있어서 타당성을 부여하여 과학적인 기준을 제시하며, 분석결과는 사업의 추진을 위한 재원마련과 정책결정자 설득의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
