  • In this paper, we propose an efficient network virtualization model in cloud computing environments. Virtualization is a key technology for the implementation of service-oriented architecture. It is a standardized framework that can be reused or integrated with changing business priorities through a IT infrastructure. Network virtualization has emerged as an important technical issues of the future virtualization technology in Internet. The concept of network virtualization and related technologies stay in ambiguous status since network virtualization is in its early stage. Thus, we propose a network virtualization model for cloud environment by analyzing the existing network virtualization technologies.

  • Similar to other species of Gigartinaceae Chondrus crispus has an alternation of perennial, isomorphic gametophytic and sporophytic generations. As these two generations co-exist independently within populations and obtain their resources in a similar manner, intraspecific competition is expected. In populations within the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence, fronds of both generations of C. crispus occur in similar numbers. This equivalency can be related to substratum instability, where the population is dynamic with a high turn-over rate of genets. These observations support a stochastic hypothesis to account for distribution of gametophytes and sporophytes in this area. Along the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, where the substratum is stable, gametophytes are overwhelmingly predominant. Gametophytic predominance is greatest in the lower littoral zone where C. crispus is abundant and space is limited. Under the fucoid canopy where "free-space" exists, the gametophyte to sporophyte ratio is lower. Gametophytic and sporophytic fronds are distributed equally among different size-classes and size-distribution is not considered a competitive factor. Previous studies have shown that sporophytic fronds of C. crispus are more susceptible to infections by endophytic algae and other pathogens, and are more heavily grazed by herbivores than are gametophytic fronds. Thus, mechanistic factors are strongly implied in the selection of gametophytes in the Atlantic population.

  • Until now some countries including South Korea have made big progress and many efforts in the development of high temperature superconductor (HTS) power equipments. Especially, HTS Cable and superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) are the strongest candidates among them from the viewpoint of applying to real grid. In South Korea, HTS cable and SFCL have been installed in test fields and tested successfully at Gochang PT Center of KEPCO. In order to meet practical requirements and be feasible in real grid, a demonstration project for HTS cable and SFCL systems, called GENI(green superconducting electric power network at Icheon substation) project, has been initiated to install 23kV HTS cable and SFCL systems in a utility network in South Korea since 2008. Namely, it says the first demonstration project for the application HTS system to real smart grid in South Korea. This paper presents the design and the application plan of the 22.9kV HTS cable and SFCL in 154kV Icheon substation in South Korea with the viewpoint of applying in Smat Grid.

  • Atomic layer deposition(ALD) of amorphous TiN films on $SiO_2$ between 17$0^{\circ}C$ and 21O$^{\circ}C$ has been investigated by alternate supply of reactant sources, Ti[N($C_2,H_5,CH_3)_2]_4$ [tetrakis(ethylmethylamminoltitanium: TEMAT] and $NH_3$. Reactant sources were injected into the reactor in the order of TEMAT vapor pulse, Ar gas pulse, $NH_3$. gas pulse and Ar gas pulse. Film thickness per cycle was saturated at around 1.6 monolayer(MU per cycle with sufficient pulse times of reactant sources at 20$0^{\circ}C$. The results suggest that film thickness per cycle could be beyond 1 MLicycie in ALD, which were explained by rechemisorption mechanisms of reactant sources. The ideal linear relationship be¬tween number of cycles and film thickness is confirmed. As a results of surface limited reactions of ALD, step cover¬age was excellent. Particles caused by the gas phase reactions between TEMAT and NH3 were almost free because TEMAT was seperated from $NH_3$ by the Ar pulse. In spite of relatively low substrate temperature, carbon impurity was incorporated below 4 at%.

  • Soybean (Glycine max L.) is an increasingly important food source and functional food. Platelet aggregation plays an important role in thrombogenesis and atherosclerosis. Here, we studied the anti-platelet aggregating effects of solvent extracts from Korean soybean varieties and isoflauone derivatives. Nine Korean soybean varieties were extracted by solvents (methanol and buthanol and their extracts was investigated for the inhibition against tile aggregation of washed rabbit platelets induced by collagen or thrombin. Maximal inhibition of buthanol extracts against platelet aggregation induced by collagen was $95\%$ in Black-kong and Jinpum - kong. The potency of their inhibition was in the following order : Black > Jinpum > Bokwang > Hwangkum > Pureun > Malli > Danbaek > Danyeob > Jangsu - kong. The Black - kong only seemed to produce the maximal inhibition against platelet aggregation induced by thrombin. Total isoflavone content measured was Jinpum-kong ($1347.8{\mu}g/g$) and Black-kong ($918.7{\mu}g/g$). Maximal inhibition of isoflavone derivatives against platelet aggregation induced by collagen was $97\%$ in genistein. The potency of their inhibition was in the following order: genistein>daidzein>genistin. The isoflavone derivatives did not affect the platelet aggregation induced by thrombin. However, Black-kong cortex seemed to Produce the optimal inhibition against platelet aggregation induced by collagen. These results suggest that Black-kong and Jinpum-kong may be a good source for antiplatelet agents, and their antiplatelet effect be related to tile content and the chemical structure with the number of -OH group and the attached glycoside in the isoflavone derivative.
