Immunoregulatory Function of HLA-G in Gastric Cancer

  • Background: Human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-G-positive gastric cancers are associated with poor survival, but links with tumor escape mechanisms remain to be determined. Materials and Methods: We used immunohistochemistry to investigate HLA-G expression, tumor infiltrating CD8+ T lymphocytes, and Treg cells in 52 gastric cancer patients. Results: There were 29 cancer-related deaths during the follow-up period. Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated that patients with HLA-G-positive (n=16) primary tumors had a significantly poorer prognosis than patients with HLA-G-negative tumors (n=36, p=0.008). The median survival time was 14 months and 47 months, respectively. Patients with high numbers of Tregs and low numbers of CD8+T lymphocytes in the primary tumor had a poorer prognosis than those with low numbers of Tregs and high numbers of CD8+T lymphocytes (p=0.034, p=0.043). Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis showed that HLA-G expression (hazard ratio: 2.662; 95% confidence interval: 1.242-5.723; p=0.012) and stage (hazard ratio: 2.012;95% confidence interval: 1.112-3.715; p=0.041) were independent unfavorable factors for patient survival. Conclusions: We found a significant positive correlation between HLA-G expression and the number of tumor infiltrating Tregs (p=0.01) and a negative correlation with the number of CD8+T lymphocytes (p=0.041). HLA-G may protect gastric cancer cells from cytolysis by inducing Foxp3+Treg lymphocytes and suppressing CD8+T lymphocytes.

황화 CoMo/γ-Al2O3 촉매상에서 수첨탈질반응과 수첨탈산소 반응의 상호작용 (Interactions between Hydrodenitrogenation of Pyridine and Hydrodeoxygenation of m-Cresol over sulfided CoMo/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst)

  • 황화 $CoMo/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매를 사용하여 473~723K의 온도와 $10{\sim}15{\times}10^5Pa$의 압력 그리고 접촉시간 0.0125~0.03 g-cat hr/ml-feed 범위에서 pyridin의 수첨탈질반응과 m-cresol의 수첨탈산소 반응의 상호작용 및 그 속도론에 관하여 연구하였다. Pyridin의 수첨탈질반응과 m-cresol의 소첨탈산소 반응의 상호반응을 저지억제하였으며, pyridin에 의한 m-cresol의 수첨탈산소반응의 억제효과는 m-cresol에 의한 pyridin의 수첨탈질반응의 억제효과보다 더 컸으나 반응성은 m-cresol이 더 높았다. Pyridin의 수첨탈질반응 속도식 및 m-cresol의 수첨탈산소반응 속도식을 LHHW 모델을 이용하여 구한 결과 ${\gamma}_{HDN}=k_{HDN}{\cdot}K_pC_p/(1+K_cC_c+K_pC_p)$, ${\gamma}_{HDO}=k_{HDO}{\cdot}K_cC_c/(1+K_cC_c+K_pC_p)$였다. 각 온도에서 반응속도상수 및 흡착평형상수를 구하여 Arrhenius plot 과 Van't Hoff plot을 행하여 구한 활성화 에너지값은 pyridin과 m-cresol이 각각 16.21 Kcal/mole, 13.83 Kcal/mole이었고, 흡착열은 각각 -6.458 Kcal/mole, -5.045 Kcal/mole이었다.

Relative Sensitivity Analysis of the Soil Water Characteristics Curve

  • This study was conducted to develop the SWCC estimation equation using scaling technique, and to investigate relative sensitivity of the SWCC according to the soil water tension, for the four kinds of soil texture such as Sand [S], Sandy Loam [SL], Loam [L] and Clay Loam [CL]. The SWCC estimation equation of scale factor [${\Theta}sc$] (Eq. 1) was developed based on the log function (Eq. 2) and exponential function (Eq. 3). ${\Theta}sc=[({\Theta}-{\Theta}r)/({\Theta}s-{\Theta}r)]$ (Eq. 1) ${\Theta}sc=-0.196ln(H)+0.4888$ (Eq. 2) ${\Theta}sc=0.3804(H)^{(-0.448)}$ (Eq. 3) where, ${\Theta}$: water content (g/g %), ${\Theta}s$: water content at 0.1bar, ${\Theta}r$: water content at 15bar, H: soil water tension (matric potential) (bar) Relative sensitivity of soil water content was decreased as increase soil water tension, those according to soil water tension were 0.952~0.620 compared to 0.1bar case. Relative sensitivity of scale factor was also decreased as increase soil water tension, those according to soil water tension were 0.890~0.577 compared to 0.2bar case.

일상식이를 섭취하는 일부 농촌 성인 남녀의 식이, 혈액 및 뇨중의 납, 철분, 구리 수준 (The Dietary, Blood and Urinary Levels of Lead, Iron and Copper in Self Selected Dietary Rural People)

  • This study was carried out to estimate intake level of Pb, Fe, Cu in rural area of Korea(12 males and 18 females). Analyses for the nutritional status of the record, duplicated diet collections, 24-hour urine collections, and venous blood sampling before measuring of blood pressure. The mean age and blood pressure of the subjects were 45.8$\pm$11.1years and 117.5$\pm$22.2/80.8$\pm$15.6mmHe in males, and 41.9$\pm$11.0years, 110.0$\pm$ 11.9/73.9$\pm$8.5mmHg in females, respectively. In respect to both males and females, mean BMI were 22.0$\pm$2.3, 23.1$\pm$3.0, mean Rohrer index were 131.8$\pm$14.8, 142.4$\pm$20.2 and mean skinfold thickness were 12.4$\pm$5.9mm, 25.3$\pm$7.4mm, respectively. The daily mean intakes of Pb, Fe, and Cu estimated for 3 days were 277.2$\pm$111.2$\mu\textrm{g}$/day, 12.7$\mu\textrm{g}$ 7.6mg/day, and 3.0$\pm$1.4mg/day in males and 192.0$\pm$72.4$\mu\textrm{g}$/day, 13.3$\pm$5.8mg/day, and 3.7 $\pm$1.7mg/day in females, respectively. The mean concentrations of serum Pb, Fe, Cu were 11.0$\pm$2.0$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 131.1$\pm$42.6$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 120.3$\pm$25.7$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl in males and 9.0$\pm$1.2$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 112.2$\pm$ 35.9$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 117.3$\pm$17.9$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl in females, respectively. The mean levels of Hb and Hct were 15.1$\pm$1.1g/dl, 45.2$\pm$3.3% in males and 13.1$\pm$0.8g/dl, 39.8$\pm$2.6% in females, respectively. The 24-hour urinary excretions of Pb, Fe, Cu were 35.5$\pm$10.0$\mu\textrm{g}$/day, 0.16$\pm$0.12mg/day, 60.12$\pm$0.02$\mu\textrm{g}$/day in males, and 25.3$\pm$11.0$\mu\textrm{g}$/day, 0.24$\pm$0.20mg/day, 70.07$\pm$0.03$\mu\textrm{g}$/day in females, respectively. In conclusion, the Pb intake in self selected diet of this subjects was not in the level that antagonized to Fe and Cu metabolism seriously.

가변 윈도우 스펙트럼 분석을 이용한 CELP 부호화기의 음질 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Improvement of the Speech Quality by Spectrum Analysis with Variable Window in CELP Vocoder)

  • There have been proposed two types of low bit rate vocoder upto now : One is MBE type using the spectrum modeling and another is CELP type using the hybrid coding method. CELP type vocoder has mainly studied between them. Specially, much of intensity is concentrated in CELP vocoder due to the emergence of Internet Phone and PCS in a domestic. In order to improve the speech quality in CELP vocoder, in this paper, we proposed a new spectrum analysis algorithm with variable window, In CELP vocoder, the spectrum of the synthesised speech signal is distorted because the fixed size windows is used for spectrum analysis. So we have measured the spectral leakage and in order to minimize the spectral leakage have adjusted the window size. Applying this method G.723.1 ACELP, we can get SD(Spectral Distortion) reduction 0.084(dB), residual energy reduction 6.3% and MOS(Mean Opinion Score) improvement 0.1.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털방송과 인터넷의 융합에 따른 MPEG-2/4/7 방송 및 인터넷 콘텐츠를 비롯한 게임등과 같은 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위한 차세대 지능형 고품질 홈 엔터테인먼트 시스템 Platform 개발에서 사용될 MPEG-4 오디오를 개발한다. 인터넷 상에서의 스트리밍 서비스를 위해서는 저 전송률과 고 품질의 비디오/오디오 알고리즘이 필요하다. 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 MPEG-4 오디오는 음성에서 고품질의 다중 채널의 오디오까지, 그리고 자연음(Natural Sound)에서 합성음에 이르기까지 다양한 알고리즘을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 지능형 고품질 미디어 에이전트 시스템에 적합한 MPEG-4 AAC, MPEG-1 Layer-3인 MP3, G.723.1을 구현하고, 이 시스템에 알맞은 7㎑ 대역폭을 가지는 광대역(Wideband) 음성신호를 16kbps로 압축하는 음성 압축기를 제안 및 개발한다.

  • Using Spark Plasma Sintering process (SPS), consolidation behavior of gas atomized $Mg_{97}Zn_1Y_2$ alloys were investigated via examining the microstructure and evaluating the mechanical properties. In the atomized ahoy powders, fine $Mg_{12}YZn$ particles were homogeneously distributed in the ${\alpha}-Mg$ matrix. The phase distribution was maintained even after SPS at 723 K, although $Mg_{24}Y_5$ particles were newly precipitated by consolidating at 748 K. The density of the consolidated bulk Mg-Zn-Y alloy was $1.86g/cm^3$. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation were varied with the consolidation temperature.

  • 인터넷폰과 화상회의를 위해 개발되어진 G.723.1 음성부호화기는 5.3kbps ACELP와 6.3kbps MP-MLQ 이중 전송률로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 CELP 계열 음성부호화기의 음질 개선을 위해 스펙트럼 누설을 최소화할 수 있는 가변 윈도우를 이용한 새로운 스펙트럼 분석 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘을 ACELP에 적용한 실험결과에서 스펙트럼 왜곡은 약 0.1dB 정도 감소하였고, 잔차 에너지는 7% 정도 감소하였으며 주관적 음질평가 결과는 0.3 정도 개선되었다.

특허 자료 정보 기반 국내 이동통신 사업자 주요 공통 기술 분야 분석 (The Major Common Technology Field Analysis of Domestic Mobile Carriers based on Patent Information Data)

  • 국가 기술표준정책 결정시 국가 정책 활동/시장경제 활동 수단으로 활용하기 위해 현재 자국 기술 수준/집중도/활용도에 대한 분석을 통한 의사결정을 수행해야 한다. 이러한 의사결정의 수단으로 국내 이동통신 사업자 특허 자료 기반 주요 공통 기술 분야 분석을 통해 합리적인 의사결정을 수행할 수 있다. 특허청 특허정보검색서비스를 통해 수집된 국내 이동통신 사업자 전체 특허/국제특허분류 수는 20,294건/152개이며, 이동통신 사업자 특허자료 일반 정보 분석 결과 상대적으로 높은 기술보유 활동을 수행하는 사업자는 KT(9,738건/47.98%)이다. 이어서 사회망 분석결과 연결중심성(0.552)/근접중심성(1.000)/매개중심성(0.290)이 큰 국제특허분류 30개 추출, 주성분 분석 결과 분산 평균 크기 3.2222 이상 넘어가는 국제특허분류 4개(H04W, H04B, G06Q, H04L) 추출을 통해 국내 이동통신 사업자 공통 기술 분야임을 확인했다. 마지막으로, 추출된 국내 이동통신 사업자 공통 기술 분야 4개에 대한 자기회귀 결합 이동평균 모형 분석 결과 H04W, H04B, G06Q, H04L 모두 12개월의 계절성 특성을 가지며, 기존 시계열 자료 평균 대비 예측 평균이 낮아짐을 확인했다.
