Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Bee Venom and Melittin acupuncture solution on the lipopolysaccharide and sodium nitroprusside- induced expression of cytosolic phospholipase $A_2$, tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ and calcium concentration in RAW 264.7 cells, a murine macrophage cell line. Methods : The expression of cytosolic phospholipase $A_2$ and tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ was determined by western blotting with corresponding antibodies, and the generation of intracellular calcium concentration was investigated by delta scan system in RAW 264.7 cells. Results : 1. Compared with control, expressions of lipopolysaccharide-induced cytosolic phospholipase $A_2$ were decreased significantly by $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and 5, $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution and decreased by 0.5, $1{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom. 2. Compared with control, expressions of sodium nitroprusside-induced phospholipase $A_2$ were decreased significantly by 0.5, 1, $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and by 5, $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution. 3. Compared with control, expressions of lipopolysaccharide-induced tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ were decreased significantly by $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution and were not changed significantly by 0.5, 1, $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and $5{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution. 4. Compared with control, expressions of sodium nitroprusside-induced tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ were decreased significantly by 1, $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and 5, $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution and decreased by $0.5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom 5. Compared with control, lipopolysaccharide-induced intracellular calcium concentrations were decreased by 0.5, 1, $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution and increased by $5{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution. 6. Compared with control, sodium nitroprusside-induced intracellular calcium concentrations were decreased by 0.5, 1, $5{\mu}g/mL$ of bee venom and 5, $10{\mu}g/mL$ of melittin acupuncture solution.

Background : Mucin synthesis in airways has been reported to be regulated by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) system. Epidermal growth factor receptor transactivation was identified as a critical element in G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs)-induced mitogenic signaling. EGF receptor transactivation by G-protein-coupled receptors requires metalloproteinase cleavage of proHB-EGF. This study was hypothesized that lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mucin production associates with epidermal growth factor receptor transactivation, and MUC5AC production associates with epidermal growth factor receptor transactivation by G-protein-coupled receptors that regulates by metalloproteinase. Method : MUC5AC mucin production was examined in NCI-H292 cells and MUC5AC protein synthesis was assessed using ELISA. For the evaluation of mechanism of LPS-induced MUC5AC production, $TNF{\alpha}$ was measured using ELISA with or without pretreatment of heterotrimeric G-protein inhibitor, mastoparan. MUC5AC protein was measure with pretreatment of polyclonal $TNF{\alpha}$ antibody or mastoparan on LPS-induced MUC5AC production. For the evaluation of relation of G-protein and MUC5AC production, G-protein stimulant, mastopara-7, or matrix metalloproteinase, ADAM10, was added to NCI-H292 cells. MUC5AC protein was measure with pretreatment of polyclonal EGF antibody on mastoparan-7-induced MUC5AC production. Results : LPS alone did not increase significantly MUC5AC production. LPS with $TNF{\alpha}$ induced dose-dependently MUC5AC production in NCI-H292 cells. LPS increased dose-dependently $TNF{\alpha}$ secretion, which was inhibited by mastoparan. LPS with $TNF{\alpha}$-induced MUC5AC production was inhibited by neutralizing polyclonal $TNF{\alpha}$ antibody, mastoparan or AG 1472. Mastoparan-7 or ADAM10 increased dose-dependently MUC5AC production, which was inhibited by polyclonal neutralizing EGF antibody. Conclusion : In LPS-induced MUC5AC synthesis, LPS causes $TNF{\alpha}$ secretion, which induces EGFR expression. EGFR tyrosine kinase phosphorylation result in MUC5AC production. EGF-R transactivation by G-protein-coupled receptors requires matrix metalloproteinase cleavage of proHB-EGF.

It was shown in the previous study that the numerically derived elastic work factor for CLS specimen was independent of fiber direction for a unidirectional case. Also, it was proposed the elastic work factor could be used to determine energy release rate from a single test record. In the present study, elastic work factor was derived from a simple beam theory to investigate its dependence on material property and geometric condition. Also, the elastic work factor of CLS specimen was applied experimentally to determine critical energy release rate in order to prove its validity determining critical energy release rate from a single specimen. For this purpose, critical energy release rate determined using the elastic work factor was compared with that determined by the compliance method. The results showed that while elastic work factor is affected by $t_2/t_1$ and $L_2/L_1$ it is independent of fiber angle for a unidirectional case. It was also found that critical energy release rates determined by both methods are comparable each other, thus elastic work factor approach can be used to determine energy release rate from a single test specimen.

This study aims to extract the factors which constitute use tendency on digital product, and to devide korean generation. We surveyed to digital product users who are 15 through 49 years old, executed factor analysis, cluster analysis, and so on, The results of factor analysis, we selected 11 factors, named as interest, entertainment, simplicity, anxiety of mal-operation, practicality, personality, consistency, multi-functionality, learning style of how-to-use, responsibility of disorder, and lending degree. The results of cluster analysis, we classified subjects into following three types: positive acceptor, passive follower, and conservative indifference. And, we executed frequency analysis iteratively. We devide korean digital product users to 4 generations -1727G, 2834G, 3538G, 3949G- by means of synthesizing the results. It can be said that generation is strong factor effect to use tendency, but the other factors like sex, occupation, school career, income become weak factor or not matters. Finally, we considered the reason, 3538G takes a crossing point role through comparison the generation division with cohort research on product use experience.

Background: Ginsenoside Rc (G-Rc) is one of the major protopanaxadiol-type saponins isolated from Panax ginseng, a well-known medicinal herb with many beneficial properties including anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiobesity, and antidiabetic effects. In this study, we investigated the effects of G-Rc on inflammatory responses in vitro and examined the mechanisms of these effects. Methods: The in vitro inflammation system used lipopolysaccharide-treated macrophages, tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}/interferon-{\gamma}-treated$ synovial cells, and HEK293 cells transfected with various inducers of inflammation. Results: G-Rc significantly inhibited the expression of macrophage-derived cytokines, such as tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ and $interleukin-1{\beta}$. G-Rc also markedly suppressed the activation of TANK-binding kinase $1/I{\kappa}B$ kinase ${\varepsilon}/interferon$ regulatory factor-3 and p38/ATF-2 signaling in activated RAW264.7 macrophages, human synovial cells, and HEK293 cells. Conclusion: G-Rc exerts its anti-inflammatory actions by suppressing TANK-binding kinase $1/I{\kappa}B$ kinase ${\varepsilon}/interferon$ regulatory factor-3 and p38/ATF-2 signaling.

Individual phenotype is mostly influenced by genetic factors as well as the effects of environmental factors. Therefore, adjustment of environmental factors are needed in order to see more clearly the effects of genetic factors that we are interested in gene screening study related to Hanwoo's economic trait. The purpose of this study is to propose new statistical model that was adjusted environmental factor and identify adjustment effect in a superior gene marker screening study for producing high quality Hanwoo. First, statistical model including both genetic factor and environmental factor establishes and adjusted value of economic trait find by removing effect of environmental factor such as age, breeding farm. Finally, we identify superior gene marker combination and compare accuracy by applying MDR to data of before and after adjustment. Economic trait is used C18:1, SFA, MUFA, MS, CWT, BFT and SNP marker is used 6 markers of LPL that were identified as more excellent SNP marker than the others among 49 markers through fatty acid composition and economic trait performance test.

본연구의 목적은 흰쥐의 임신 초기에 있어서 착상의 유발에 PAF의 관련여부를 PAF의 수용체 길항제인 BN-52021d의 작용과 비교하여 결정하기 위함이다. 임신초기 각일에 점증하는 용량의 BN-52021 (체중 200g당 10$\mu$g 내지 1.25mg)이 근육내로 주사되었을때 10$\mu$g내지 250$\mu$g 용량에서는 대조구에 비하여 착상부위의 수 혹은 이것을 가진 흰쥐의 수에 대하여 현저한 영향을 미치지 아니하였으나 1.25mg투여 경우에는 현저히 감소된 효과를 나타내었다.(P<0.05). PAF(1$\mu$g) 경우에는 대조구와 비교하여 현저한 차이는 없었다. 임신 초기 각일에 BN-52021(1.25mg)과 검증하는 용량의 PAF(0.04$\mu$g 내지 1.0$\mu$g)가 동시에 투여된 경우에는 PAF의 농도가 증가함에 따라서 착상 부위의 수도 증가하는 경향이었으나 현저하지는 아니하였다. 본 실험 결과는 PAF는 흰쥐의 임신 초기 반응에 관련된다는 사실을 보여준다.

This study was performed to evaluate the acute toxicity of DA-3030(granulocyte-colony stimulating factor, G-CSF) in mice and rats via intragastrical and intravenous routes. DA-3030(G-CSF) in the acute toxicity study did not induce any toxic signs in the mice and rats in mortalities, clinical findings, body weights and gross findings. It is suggested that LD$_{50}$ values in mice and rats would be >13, 800 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg in the oral route and >6, 900 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg in the intravenous route.e.

A human hepatoma cell line, Hep G2 cells are a reliable for the study of alcohol-induced hepatotoxicity. In this study, the author investigated the effect of an aqueous extract of Asparagus $cochinchinensis_{MERRIL}$ (Liliaceae) roots (ACAE) on ethanol (EtOH)-induced cytotoxicity in Hep G2 cells. ACAE dose-dependently inhibited the EtOH-induced tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}\;(TNF-{\alpha})$ secretion. ACAE also inhibited the EtOH and $TNF-{\alpha}-induced$ cytotoxicity. Furthermore, the author found that ACAE inhibited the $TNF-{\alpha}-induced$ apoptosis of Hep G2 cells. These results suggest that ACAE may prevent the EtOH-induced cytotoxicity through inhibition of the apoptosis of Hep G2 cells.

This study was carried out to investigate vibration shock and dropping shock of refrigerator during physical distribution. The values of vibration shock were measured to be ${\sim}3G$ for up and down direction, ${\sim}0.8G$ for right and left direction and ${\sim}0.5G$ for back and forth direction on the national road. There was no damage during transport. From the results of dropping test by KS A 1026(General Rules of Performance Testing for Packaged Freights), relative equations were gained as follow : y = 0.12x + 7.63(where y is G-factor and x is Dropping height). The maximum values of dropping shock during materials handling were measured to be 11G. This shock value was corresponding to dropping shocks of dropping height 28.3cm by KS A 1026.
