전역근사화 반응표면의 생성을 위한 퍼지모델링 및 퍼지규칙의 생성 (Fuzzy Modeling and Fuzzy Rule Generation in Global Approximate Response Surfaces)

  • 진화퍼지모델링은 퍼지추론시스템과 진화연산의 장점을 결합한 모델링 방법으로써 전역근사최적화를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 진화퍼지모델링의 가장 중요한 과정 중 하나인 퍼지규칙의 생성방법으로써 퍼지클러스터링을 제안한다. 퍼지클러스터링을 실험 혹은 시뮬레이션의 결과에 적용함으로써, 비선형성이 강하고 복잡한 설계문제를 적절하게 묘사할 수 있는 퍼지 규칙을 생성할 수 있다. 퍼지클러스터링의 결과로 얻어지는 클러스터에 대한 실험치의 소속정도를 활용하여 진화퍼지모델링의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 제안된 방법의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 실제 자동차 내장재에 설계문제를 선정하여 전역근사화를 수행하였다. 클러스터 수와 퍼지규칙의 선택과 관련하여 여러 다양한 경우에 대해서 진화퍼지모델링을 수행하여 그 결과를 비교하였고 이를 통하여 제안된 방법이 시스템을 묘사하는 적절한 퍼지규칙을 생성하고 모델링의 오차를 만족할 만한 수준으로 유지하면서 계산시간을 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

User modeling based on fuzzy category and interest for web usage mining

  • Web usage mining is a research field for searching potentially useful and valuable information from web log file. Web log file is a simple list of pages that users refer. Therefore, it is not easy to analyze user's current interest field from web log file. This paper presents web usage mining method for finding users' current interest based on fuzzy categories. We consider not only how many times a user visits pages but also when he visits. We describe a user's current interest with a fuzzy interest degree to categories. Based on fuzzy categories and fuzzy interest degrees, we also propose a method to cluster users according to their interests for user modeling. For user clustering, we define a category vector space. Experiments show that our method properly reflects the time factor of users' web visiting as well as the users' visit number.

  • A design method of rule -based fuzzy modeling is presented for the model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed rule-based fuzzy modeling implements system structure and parameter identification in the efficient form of " IF..., THEN,," statements. using the theories of optimization and linguistic fuzzy implication rules. The improved complex method, which is a powerful auto-tuning algorithm, is used for tuning of parameters of the premise membership functions in consideration of the overall structure of fuzzy rules. The optimized objective function, including the weighting factors, is auto-tuned for better performance of fuzzy model using training data and testing data. According to the adjustment of each weighting factor of training and testing data, we can construct the optimal fuzzy model from the objective function. The least square method is utilized for the identification of optimum consequence parameters. Gas furance and a sewage treatment proce s are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed rule-based fuzzy modeling.

  • Three fuzzy input space partitoining methods, which are grid, tree, and scatter method, are mainly used until now. These partition methods represent good performance in the modeling of the linear system and nonlinear system with independent modeling variables. But in the case of the nonlinear system with the coupled modeling variables, there should be many fuzzy rules for acquiring the exact fuzzy model. In this paper, it shows that the fuzzy model is acquired using transformed modeling vector by linear transformation of the modeling vector.

  • This paper proposes an alternative observation scheme, T-S fuzzy model based indirect adaptive fuzzy observer. Nonlinear systems are represented by fuzzy models since fuzzy logic systems are universal approximators. In order to estimate the unmeasurable states of a given nonlinear system, T-S fuzzy modeling method is applied to get the dynamics of an observation system. T-S fuzzy system uses the linear combination of the input state variables and the modeling applications of them to various kinds of nonlinear systems can be found. The adaptive fuzzy scheme estimates the parameters comprising the fuzzy model representing the observation system. The proposed indirect adaptive fuzzy observer based on T-S fuzzy model can cope with not only unknown states but also unknown parameters. In the process of deriving adaptive law, the Lyapunov theory and Lipchitz condition are used. To show the performance of the proposed observation method, it is applied to an inverted pendulum on a cart.

  • This paper addresses dynamic modeling and task-space trajectory following issues for nonholonomic mobile manipulators moving on a slope. An integrated dynamic modeling method is proposed considering nonholonomic constraints and interactive motions. An adaptive neural-fuzzy controller is presented for end-effector trajectory following, which does not rely on precise apriori knowledge of dynamic parameters and can suppress bounded external disturbances. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulations.

  • A design method of rule-based fuzzy modeling is presented for the model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. Three kinds of method for fuzzy modeling presented in this paper include simplified inference (type 1), linear inference (type 2), and modified linear inference (type 3). The fuzzy c-means clustering and modified complex methods are used in order to identify the preise structure and parameter of fuzzy implication rules, respectively and the least square method is utilized for the identification of optimal consequence parameters. Time series data for gas funace and sewage treatment processes are used to evaluate the performances of the proposed rule-based fuzzy modeling.

  • The dynamic behavior of power systems is affected by the interactions between linear and nonlinear components. To analyze those complicated power systems, the linear approaches have been widely used so far. Especially, a synchronous generator has been designed by using linear models and traditional techniques. However, due to its wide operating range, complex dynamics, transient performances, and its nonlinearities, it cannot be accurately modeled as linear methods based on small-signal analysis. This paper describes an application of the Takaki-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy method to model the synchronous generator in a single-machine infinite bus (SMIB) system. The T-S fuzzy model can provide a highly nonlinear functional relation with a comparatively small number of fuzzy rules. The simulation results show that the proposed T-S fuzzy modeling captures all dynamic characteristics for the synchronous generator, which are exactly same as those by the conventional modeling method.

  • This paper addresses the wavelet fuzzy modeling using Virus-Evolutionary Genetic Algorithm (VEGA). We build a fuzzy system model which is equivalent to the wavelet transform after identifying the coefficients of wavelet transform. We can obtain an accurate system model with a small number of coefficients due to the energy compaction property of the wavelet transform. It thus means that we can construct a fuzzy system model with a small number of rules. In order to identify the wide-ranged coefficients of the wavelet transform, VEGA is adopted, which has prominent ability to avoid premature local convergence that is suitable to complex optimization problems. We demonstrate the superiority of our proposed fuzzy system modeling method over the previous results by modeling nonlinear function.
