TSK퍼지시스템을 결론부가 singleton인 퍼지시스템으로 표현하는 방법과 그 응용 (Transformation of TSK fuzzy systems into fuzzy systems with singleton consequents and its application)

  • TSK fuzzy system can represent effectively the behavior of a complex nonlinear system with low number of rules with the desired accuracy and guarantee the stability of the closed loop system, while the interpretation of the rules is difficult due to the functional nature of the consequents. On the contrary, fuzzy controller with singleton consequents is understandable intuitively and adjustable the rules easily due to qualitative expression of the rules. Ideally, one would like to combine the positive identification properties of TSK fuzzy system with the advantages of fuzzy controller with singleton consequents. Therefore, this paper suggests a method transforming TSK fuzzy systems into fuzzy systems with singleton consequents, and shows its application designing a fuzzy controller with singleton consequents by using the TSK fuzzy system when the behavior of a nonlinear system is described with a singleton fuzzy model by human esper.

  • This paper presents a fuzzy control scheme for backing up control of Truck-Trailer, which is nonlinear and unstable by using TSK(Takagi-Sugeno-kang) fuzzy system. The nonlinear system of Truck-Trailer was expressed by using TSK fuzzy model, and the TSK fuzzy controller was designed from TSK fuzzy model. The usefulness of the proposed algorithm for backing up truck-trailer is certificated by the computer simulations.

Parallel Fuzzy Inference Method for Large Volumes of Satellite Images

  • In this pattern recognition on the large volumes of remote sensing satellite images, the inference time is much increased. In the case of the remote sensing data [5] having 4 wavebands, the 778 training patterns are learned. Each land cover pattern is classified by using 159, 900 patterns including the trained patterns. For the fuzzy classification, the 778 fuzzy rules are generated. Each fuzzy rule has 4 fuzzy variables in the condition part. Therefore, high performance parallel fuzzy inference system is needed. In this paper, we propose a novel parallel fuzzy inference system on T3E parallel computer. In this, fuzzy rules are distributed and executed simultaneously. The ONE_To_ALL algorithm is used to broadcast the fuzzy input to the all nodes. The results of the MIN/MAX operations are transferred to the output processor by the ALL_TO_ONE algorithm. By parallel processing of the fuzzy rules, the parallel fuzzy inference algorithm extracts match parallelism and achieves a good speed factor. This system can be used in a large expert system that ha many inference variables in the condition and the consequent part.

  • Weld bead shape is an important measure for evaluation of weld quality. Many welding parameters have influence on the weld bead shape. The quantitative relationship between welding parameters and bead shape, however, is not determined yet because of their high complexity and many unknown factors. Fuzzy expert system is an advanced expert system which uses fuzzy rules and approximate reasoning. It is a vert useful tool for welding technology because is can process rationally the uncertain and inexact information such as the welding information. In this paper, the empirical and the qualitative relationship between welding parameters and bead shape are analyzed and represented by fuzzy rules. They are converted to the quantitative relationship by use of approximate reasoning of fuzzy expert system. Weld bead shape is estimated from the welding parameters using fuzzy expert system. The result of comparison between measured values of weld bead by welding experiments and the estimates values by fuzzy expert system shows a good consistancy.

In this paper, a new computational approach to modeling of linguistic fuzzy system is proposed The fuzzy system is modeled as a combination of affine systems, The proposed method can be used in a rigorous stability analysis of fuzzy system including the linguistic fuzzy controller.

BOXES-based Cooperative Fuzzy Control for Cartpole System

  • Two fuzzy controllers defined by 2 input variables cooperate to control a cartpole system in terms of balancing as well as centering. The cooperation is due to the BOXES scheme that selects one of the fuzzy controllers for each time step according to the content of box that is established through the critic of the control action by the fuzzy controllers. It is found that the control scheme is good at controlling the cartpole system so that the system is stabilized fast while the BOXES develops its ability to select proper fuzzy controller through experience.

  • A control system composed of two fuzzy controllers is proposed to balance the pole as well as to move the cart to the center of the track of the cartpole system. The two fuzzy controllers are designed with 2 input variables respectively and their control characters are studied in order to devise a control scheme that alternates the two fuzzy controllers. It is found that the control system using the scheme works well even though there is some residual oscillations of the pole and the cart.

A Fuzzy Model of Systems using a Neuro-fuzzy Network

  • Neuro-fuzzy network that combined advantages of the neural network in learning and fuzzy system in inferencing can be used to establish a system model in the design of a controller. In this paper, we presented the neuro-fuzzy system that can be able to generated a linguistic fuzzy model which results in a similar input/output response to the original system. The network was used to model a system. We tested the performance ot the neuro-fuzzy network through computer simulations.

  • This paper presents the linearized fuzzy modeling technique of nonlinear dynamical system and the stability analysis of fuzzy control system. Firstly, the nonlinear system is partitionized by multiple linear fuzzy subcontrol systems based on fuzzy linguistic variables and fuzzy rules. Secondly, the disturbance adaptaion controllers which guarantee the global asymptotic stability of each fuzzy subsystem by an optimal feedback control law are designed and the stability analysis procedures of the total fuzzy control system using Lyapunov functions and eigenvalues are discussed in detail through a given illustrative example.
