This paper presents a systematic approach to the input-output data-based fuzzy modeling for the complex and uncertain nonlinear systems, in which the conventional mathematical models may fail to give the satisfying results. To do this, we propose a new method that can yield a successful fuzzy model using a mGA hybrid schemes with a fine-tuning method. We also propose a new coding method fo chromosome for applying the mGA to the structure and parameter identifications of fuzzy model simultaneously. During mGA search, multi-purpose fitness function with a penalty process is proposed and adapted to guarantee the accurate and valid fuzzy modes. This coding scheme can effectively represent the zero-order Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The proposed mGA hybrid schemes can coarsely optimize the structure and the parameters of the fuzzy inference system, and then fine tune the identified fuzzy model by using the gradient descent method. In order to demonstrate the superiority and efficiency of the proposed scheme, we finally show its applications to two nonlinear systems.

In this paper, we suggested a neuro-fuzzy learning algorithm for tuning fuzzy rules, in which a fuzzy system model is of additive-type. Using the method, it is possible to reduce the computation size, since performing the fuzzy inference and tuning the fuzzy rules of each fuzzy subsystem model are independent. Moreover, the efficiency of suggested method is shown by means of a numerical example.
In this paper, in order to control uncertain missile autopilot, an adaptive fuzzy control(AEC) scheme via parallel distributed compensation(PDC) is developed for the multi-input/multi-output plants represented by the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. Moreover adaptive law is designed so that the plant output tracks the stable reference model(SRM), From the simulations results, we can conclude that the suggested scheme can effectively solve the control problems of uncertain missile systems based on T-S fuzzy model.
In this paper, a mathematical model of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is derived, and the steady-state characteristics of this system, when subject to constant input voltages and constant external torque, are formulated. It is shown that the PMSM model can exhibit a variety of chaotic phenomena, under some choices of system parameters and external inputs. Based on TS fuzzy modeling methodology, the TS fuzzy model of the PMSM chaotic system is presented, so the interaction between fuzzy system and chaos can be explored, and then fuzzy-model-based control methodologies can be used to control chaos in chaotic systems. Computer simulations show that the strange attractors in the derived TS fuzzy system and original chaotic system are topologically equivalent.

In this paper, we proposed an intelligent digital redesign method for a class of fuzzy-model-based controllers, effective fur stabilization of continuous-time nonlinear systems. The TS fuzzy model is used to expend the results of the digital redesign technique to nonlinear systems. The proposed method utilized the recently developed LMI technique to obtain a digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. The intelligent digital redesign problem is converted to equivalent problem, and the LMI method is used to find the digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. The stabilization conditions of TS fuzzy model are derived for stabilization in the sense of Laypunov stability. In order to demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed controller design methodology, we applied this method to the single link flexible-joint robot arm.
In this paper, we propose a robust indirect adaptive fuzzy state feedback regulator based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The proposed adaptive fuzzy regulator is less sensitive to singularity than the conventional one based on the feedback linearization method. Furthermore, the proposed control method is applicable to not only plants with a perfect model but also plants with an imperfect model, which causes uncertainties. We verify the global stability of the proposed method by using Lyapunov method. In order to support the achievement, the application of the proposed adaptive fuzzy regulator to the control of a nonlinear system under the external disturbance is presented and the performance was verified by some simulation result.
As a general model of rule-based systems, we propose a model for a fuzzy production system having chaining rules and an inference engine associated with the model. The concept of so-called 'fuzzy petri nets' is used to model the fuzzy production system and the inference engine is designed to be capable of handling inexact knowledge. The fuzzy logic is adopted to represent vagueness in the rules and the certainty factor is used to express uncertainty of each rules given by a human expert. Parallel, inference schemes are devised by transforming Fuzzy Petri nets to matrix formula. Futher, the inference engine mechanism under the Mamdani's implication method can be desceribed by a simple algebraic formula, which makes real time inference possible.

In this paper, well-known Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used as the nonlinear plant model and uncertainty is assumed to be included in the model structure with known bounds. Based on the fuzzy models, a numerical robust stability analysis for the fuzzy feedback linearization regulator is presented using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) Theory. For these structured uncertainty, the closed system can be cast into Lur'e system by simple transformation. From the LMI stability condition for Lur'e system, we can derive the robust stability condition for the fuzzy feedback linearization regulator based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The effectiveness of the proposed analysis is illustrated by a simple example.
This paper addresses the analysis and design of fuzzy control systems for a class of complex uncertain single-input single-output nonlinear systems. The proposed method represents the nonlinear system using a Takagi-Cugeno fuzzy model and construct a global fuzzy logic controller by blending all local state feedback controllers with a sliding mode controller. Unlike the commonly used parallel distributed compensation technique, we can design a global stable fuzzy controller without finding a common Lyapunov function for all local control systems, and can obtain good tracking performance by using sliding mode control theory. Furthermore, stability analysis is carried out not for the fuzzy model but for the real nonlinear system with uncertainties. Duffing forced oscillation sysmte is used as an example to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
In this paper, we design a Multi-Fuzzy model by means of HCM clustering and genetic algorithms for a nonlinear system. In order to determine structure of the proposed Multi-Fuzzy model, HCM clustering method is used. The parameters of membership function of the Multi-Fuzzy ate identified by genetic algorithms. A aggregate performance index with a weighting factor is used to achieve a sound balance between approximation and generalization abilities of the model. We use simplified inference and linear inference as inference method of the proposed Multi-Fuzzy mode] and the standard least square method for estimating consequence parameters of the Multi-Fuzzy. Finally, we use some of numerical data to evaluate the proposed Multi-Fuzzy model and discuss about the usefulness.
