PID 이득 동조를 위한 퍼지 스케줄링 (Fuzzy Scheduling for the PID Gain Tuning)

  • 본 논문에서는 PID 제어기의 이득 동조를 위한 퍼지 제어기를 제안한다. 제안한 제어기는 PID 제어기의 크리스퍼 출력 오차를 그대로 사용하지 않는 전단 퍼지화기에서 추론단계는 갖지만 Rule Table은 갖지 않는 특징이 있으며, 출력 소속 함수에 두 변수의 관계와 범위를 이용 도식화된 영역에서 비퍼지화 시킨 비선형 출력값을 PID 계수에 부가하는 새로운 Fuzzy PID 제어기를 제안한다. 여기서 Kp, Kd 계수의 최대, 최소 범위를 설정하여 퍼지추론에 의해 새로운 Kp, Kd 계수론 구한다. Ki 계수는 Ziegler-Nichols 동조 규칙을 사용하여 구하였고, 제안한 제어기는 유압서보모터 제어시스템에 의해 실험하였으며 실험결과 양호한 제어특성을 통해 원하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents the implementation of fuzzy PI gain scheduling controller (FPICGS) for controlling flexible joint robot arms with uncertainties from time-varying load. The term FPICGS is called based on a combination of fuzzy PI control scheme with a set of rule bases. Principle of design for a FPICGS is given along with the implementation of the designed computer aided control system.   • This paper deals with the problem of autolanding for aircraft under windshear environment for which the landing trajectory is given. It is well known that the landing maneuver in windshear turbulence is very dangerous and hard for the pilot to control because windshear is unpredictable in when and where it happens and its aerodynamic characteristics are complicated. In order to accomplish satisfactory autolanding maneuver in this environment, we propose a gain-scheduled controller. The proposed controller consists of three parts: PID controller, called baseline controller, which is designed to satisfy requirements of stability and performance without considering windshear, gain scheduler based on fuzzy logic, and safety decision logic, which decides if the current autolanding maneuver needs to be aborted or not. The controller is applied to a 6-DOF simulation model of the associated airplane in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. It is noted that a cross wind in the lateral direction is included to the simulation model. From the simulation results it is observed that the proposed gain scheduled controller shows superior performance than the case of controller without gain scheduling even in severe downburst and tailwind region of windshear. In addition, touchdown along centerline of the runway is more precise for the proposed controller than for the controller without gain scheduling in the cross wind and the tailwind.

  • The problem of motion control for AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) is addressed. The utilization of such robotic vehicles has gained an increasing importance in many marine activities. In this paper the objective is to describe how to design and apply FGS (Fuzzy Gain Scheduling) PD (Proportional Derivative) controller for an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) to control the yaw and depth of the vehicle by keeping the path of the navigation to a desired point, and/or changing the path according to a set point.

  • In this paper, a robust speed control is proposed for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor system. PMSM without reduction gear has been widely used in high performance application such as robots and machine tools. It is well known that the control performance of the PMSM is very sensitive to load disturbance and system parameter variation. The idea of the proposed speed controller based on combination of sliding mode control with fuzzy gain scheduling. The sliding mode controller leads to fast system dynamics of slight sensitivity to the load disturbance and system parameter variations, the fuzzy gain scheduling mechanism reduces the chattering phenomenon. The simulation results have proved that the proposed control scheme provides a robust control performance under load disturbance and system parameter variation.

  • A CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) is a highly nonlinear process with varying parameters during operation. Therefore, tuning of the controller and determining the transition policy of controller parameters are required to guarantee the best performance of the CSTR for overall operating regions. In this paper, a methodology employing the 2DOF (Two-Degree-of-Freedom) PID controller, the anti-windup technique and a fuzzy gain scheduler is presented for the temperature control of the CSTR. First, both a local model and an EA (Evolutionary Algorithm) are used to tune the optimal controller parameters at each operating region by minimizing the IAE (Integral of Absolute Error). Then, a set of controller parameters are expressed as functions of the gain scheduling variable. Those functions are implemented using a set of "if-then" fuzzy rules, which is of Sugeno's form. Simulation works for reference tracking, disturbance rejecting and noise rejecting performances show the feasibility of using the proposed method.

  • This paper describes an approach for synthesizing a modularized gain scheduled PD type fuzzy logic controller(FLC) for a high maneuverable aircraft system, where the gains of FLC are on-line adapted according to the flight condition. Specially, the systematic procedure via root locus technique is carried out for the sellection of the gains of FLC. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed gain scheduled fuzzy logic controller yields better control performance than the normal (without gain scheduling) fuzzy controller.

  • This paper proposes a practical gain-scheduling control law considering robust stability and performance of Linear Parameter Varying(LPV) systems in the presence of nonlinearities and uncertainties. The proposed method introduces LMI-based pole placement synthesis and also associates with a recently developed fuzzy control system based on Takagei-Sugenos fuzzy model. The sufficient conditions for robust controller design of linearized local dynamics and robust stabilization of fuzzy control systems are reduced to a finite set of Linear Matrix inequalities(LMIs) and solved by using co-evolutionary algorithms. The proposed method is applied to the longitudinal acceleration control of high performance aircraft with linear and nonlinear simulations.

  • The increased disk rotational velocity to improve the data transfer rate has raised up many serious problems in its servo control system which should control the position and velocity of a spot relative to a rotating disk. This paper proposes gain-scheduling-based track-seek control for single stage actuator of hard disk drives. Gain scheduling is a technique that can extend the validity of the linearization approach to a range of operating points and one of the most popular approaches to nonlinear control design. The proposed method schedules controller gains to improve the transient response and minimize overshoot during the functions of the read/write head positioning servomechanism for the seek control. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated through stability analysis and simulation results.

  • Many studies on dynamic positioning control algorithms using fixed feedback gains have been carried out to improve station keeping performance of dynamically positioned vessels. However, the control algorithms have disadvantages in that it can not cope with changes in environmental disturbances and response characteristics of vessels motion in real time. In this paper, the Fuzzy Gain Scheduling - PID(FGS - PID) control algorithm that can tune PID gains in real time was proposed. The FGS - PID controller that consists of fuzzy system and a PID controller uses weighted values of PID gains from fuzzy system and fixed PID gains from Ziegler - Nichols method to tune final PID gains in real time. Firstly, FGS - PID controller, control allocation algorithm, FPSO and environmental disturbances were modeled using Matlab/Simulink to evaluate station keeping performance of the proposed control algorithm. In addition, simulations that keep positions and a heading angle of vessel with wind, wave, current disturbances were carried out. From simulation results, the FGS - PID controller was confirmed to have better performances of keeping positions and a heading angle and consuming power than those of the PID controller. As a consequence, the proposed FGS - PID controller in this paper was validated to have more effectiveness to keep position and heading angle than that of PID controller.
