This paper presents a study on the safety assessment of human body for electromagnetic field at unbalanced power system. The 3-phase load flow algorithm uses Newton-Raphson method based on Taylor series expansion of power flow equations in rectangular coordinates. The use of such a method can result in a solution with good convergence characteristics. In the safety assessment of human body, the approach based on fuzzy linguistic variable is employed to overcome the shortcomings resulting from a crisp set concept. The suggested scheme is applied to a 24bus system to validate the usefulness. The results for an unbalanced power system are compared with the results for a balanced power system.

In this paper, systematic and comprehensive approaches are suggested for the application of quantitative PRA techniques especially for those risk events that cannot be easily evaluated quantitatively In addition, dominant risk events are identified based on their occurrence frequency assessed by both actual survey of construction site conditions and the statistical data related with the probable accidents. Practical FTA(Fault Tree Analysis) and ETA(Event Tree Analysis) models are used for the assessment of the identified risks. When the risk events are lack of statistical data, appropriate Bayesian models incorporating engineering judgement and test results are also introduced in this paper. Moreover, a fuzzy probability technique is used for the quantitative risk assessment of those risk components which are difficult to evaluate quantitatively.
Driven by the vague assessment big data, a product service system (PSS) evaluation method is developed based on a hybrid model of multi-weight combination and improved TOPSIS by relative entropy. The index values of PSS alternatives are solved by the integration of the stakeholders' vague assessment comments presented in the form of trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Multi-weight combination method is proposed for index weight solving of PSS evaluation decision-making. An improved TOPSIS by relative entropy (RE) is presented to overcome the shortcomings of traditional TOPSIS and related modified TOPSIS and then PSS alternatives are evaluated. A PSS evaluation case in a printer company is given to test and verify the proposed model. The RE closeness of seven PSS alternatives are 0.3940, 0.5147, 0.7913, 0.3719, 0.2403, 0.4959, and 0.6332 and the one with the highest RE closeness is selected as the best alternative. The results of comparison examples show that the presented model can compensate for the shortcomings of existing traditional methods.
Water inrush and mud outburst always restricts the tunnel constructions in mountain area, which becomes a major geological barrier against the development of underground engineering. In view of the complex disaster-causing mechanism and difficult quantitative predictions of water inrush and mud outburst, several theoretical methods are adopted to realize dynamic assessment of water inrush in the progressive process of tunnel construction. Concerning both the geological condition and construction situation, eleven risk factors are quantitatively described and an assessment system is developed to evaluate the water inrush risk. In the static assessment, the weights of eight risk factors about the geological condition are determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Each factor is scored by experts and the synthesis scores are weighted. The risk level is ultimately determined based on the scoring outcome which is derived from the sum of products of weights and comprehensive scores. In the secondary assessment, the eight risk factors in static assessment and three factors about construction situation are quantitatively analyzed using fuzzy evaluation method. Subordinate levels and weight of factors are prepared and then used to calculate the comprehensive subordinate degree and risk level. In the dynamic assessment, the classical field of the eleven risk factors is normalized by using the extension evaluation method. From the input of the matter-element, weights of risk factors are determined and correlation analysis is carried out to determine the risk level. This system has been applied to the dynamic assessment of water inrush during construction of the Yuanliangshan tunnel of Yuhuai Railway. The assessment results are consistent with the actual excavation, which verifies the rationality and feasibility of the software. The developed system is believed capable to be back-up and applied for risk assessment of water inrush in the underground engineering construction.
A number of research studies focus on the efficacy of using such as scenario based learning. However, desirable methods have not been introduced to assess the scenario based learning. This article is to suggest a fuzzy logic based framework for scenario base learning in which more reasonable learning effects are measured. It can be solved uncertain problems of linguistic variables. Also, we suggest three measures of accuracy, comprehensibility and completeness in order to evaluate accurate effects of scenario based learning. This assessment provides the scenario to the learner in which the scenario is presented in an authentic context, and enable the learner to reach an outcome through an adequate sequence and choices. This approach enables the system to present new scenarios and outcomes based on what a user selects. In particular, the application of fuzzy logic in scenario based learning can be easily pursued certain successful path or wrong path all the way through to reach major outcome in real situation.
This study is realized using fuzzy evaluation and AHP(the analytic hierarchy process) for the optimum search of traffic route and estimated by the quantitative analysis in the vague subjective judgement. It is different from classical route search and noticed thinking method of human. Appraisal element, weight, appraisal value of route is extracted from basic of the opinion gathering fur the driving expert and example of route model was used for the finding of practice utility. Model assessment was performed attribute membership function making of estimate element, estimate value setting, weight define by the AHP, non additive presentation of weight according to $\lambda$-fuzzy measure, Choquet fuzzy integral.
Accidental oil and gas leak is a critical concern for the offshore industry because it can lead to severe consequences and as a result, it is imperative to evaluate the probabilities of occurrence of the consequences of the leakage in order to assess the risk. Event Tree Analysis (ETA) is a technique to identify the consequences that can result from the occurrence of a hazardous event. The probability of occurrence of the consequences is evaluated by the ETA, based on the failure probabilities of the sequential events. Conventional ETA deals with events with crisp failure probabilities. In offshore applications, it is often difficult to arrive at a single probability measure due to lack of data or imprecision in data. In such a scenario, fuzzy set theory can be applied to handle imprecision and data uncertainty. This paper presents fuzzy ETA (FETA) methodology to compute the probability of the outcomes initiated due to oil/gas leak in an actual offshore-onshore installation. Post FETA, sensitivity analysis by Fuzzy Weighted Index (FWI) method is performed to find the event that has the maximum contribution to the severe sequences. It is found that events of 'ignition', spreading of fire to 'equipment' and 'other areas' are the highest contributors to the severe consequences, followed by failure of 'leak detection' and 'fire detection' and 'fire water not being effective'. It is also found that the frequency of severe consequences that are catastrophic in nature obtained by ETA is one order less than that obtained by FETA, thereby implying that in ETA, the uncertainty does not propagate through the event tree. The ranking of severe sequences based on their probability, however, are identical in both ETA and FETA.
An eigenspace projection clustering method is proposed for structural damage detection by combining projection algorithm and fuzzy clustering technique. The integrated procedure includes data selection, data normalization, projection, damage feature extraction, and clustering algorithm to structural damage assessment. The frequency response functions (FRFs) of the healthy and the damaged structure are used as initial data, median values of the projections are considered as damage features, and the fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm are used to categorize these features. The performance of the proposed method has been validated using a three-story frame structure built and tested by Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA. Two projection algorithms, namely principal component analysis (PCA) and kernel principal component analysis (KPCA), are compared for better extraction of damage features, further six kinds of distances adopted in FCM process are studied and discussed. The illustrated results reveal that the distance selection depends on the distribution of features. For the optimal choice of projections, it is recommended that the Cosine distance is used for the PCA while the Seuclidean distance and the Cityblock distance suitably used for the KPCA. The PCA method is recommended when a large amount of data need to be processed due to its higher correct decisions and less computational costs.
Intrusion tolerant system enables essential services to maintain for a period of time under system failure, malicious attacks and is gaining more importance in national defense, communication infrastructure, and financial sector. However, few objective evaluation criteria for companies and agencies to introduce an appropriate system are available. This paper proposes a suitability evaluation method, using Analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy integral, for intrusion tolerant system, along with evaluation criteria which considers the characteristics and costs of systems in addition to other factors.

Continuous increasing of impervious area due to urbanization and rainfall quantity due to environmental changes aggravate flooding risk in low land area. Therefore. Seoul municipal authorities go on securing an ample budget for reinforcement and establishment of inner water and inland drainage pumping facilities. But. there is no investment for developing optimal operation rules for appropriate application of existing facilities. In this study. fuzzy control techniques are developed. and applied to 57 stations of inner water and inland drainage pump for model assessment. In these results. fuzzy models have more efficiency in the inland flooding protection than the existing pump operation rule by water level in the same conditions.
