The proposed Multi-FNN is based on FNN and use simplified and linear inference as fuzzy inference method and error back propagation algorithm as learning rules. We use a HCM clustering and genetic algorithms (GAs) to identify both the structure and the parameters of a Multi-FNN model. Here, HCM clustering method, which is carried out for the process data preprocessing of system modeling, is utilized to determine the structure of Multi-FNN according to the divisions of input-output space using I/O process data. • We introduce a new architecture of TSK-based fuzzy inference system. The proposed model used fuzzy c-means clustering method(FCM) for efficient disposal of data. The premise part of fuzzy rules don't assume any membership function such as triangular, gaussian, ellipsoidal because we construct the premise part of fuzzy rules using FCM. As a result, we can reduce to architecture of model. In this paper, we are able to use four types of polynomials as consequence part of fuzzy rules such as simplified, linear, quadratic, modified quadratic. Weighed Least Square Estimator are used to estimates the coefficients of polynomial. The proposed model is evaluated with the use of Boston housing data called Machine Learning dataset.

  • In this paper, we propose Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) based on Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. The one and the other are considered as the premise part and consequence part of FPNN structure respectively. As the consequence part of FPNN, PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and self-organizing networks that can be generated. FPNN is available effectively for multi-input variables and high-order polynomial according to the combination of FNN with PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get better output performance with superb predictive ability. As the premise part of FPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference as fuzzy inference method and error back-propagation algorithm as learning rule. The parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted using genetic algorithms. And we use two kinds of FNN structure according to the division method of fuzzy space of input variables. One is basic FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by each separated input variable, the other is modified FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by mutually combined input variables. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models, we use the nonlinear function and traffic route choice process. The results show that the proposed FPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than any other method presented previously. And also performance index related to the approximation and prediction capabilities of model is evaluated and discussed.

  • In this paper, we analyze the input-output characteristics of fuzzy inference systems according to the division of entire input spaces and the fuzzy reasoning methods to identify the fuzzy model for nonlinear process. And fuzzy model is expressed by identifying the structure and parameters of the system by means of input variables, fuzzy partition of input spaces, and consequence polynomial functions. In the premise part of the rules Min-Max method using the minimum and maximum values of input data set and C-Means clustering algorithm forming input data into the hard clusters are used for identification of fuzzy model and membership function is used as a series of triangular membership function. In the consequence part of the rules fuzzy reasoning is conducted by two types of inferences. The identification of the consequence parameters, namely polynomial coefficients, of the rules are carried out by the standard least square method. And lastly, we use gas furnace process which is widely used in nonlinear process and we evaluate the performance for this nonlinear process.

  • In this paper, the optimal digital redesign is studied within the framework of fuzzy systems and dual-rate sampling control theory. An equivalent fast-rate discrete-time state-space model of the continuous-time system is constructed by using fuzzy inference systems. To obtain the optimal feedback gains developed in the continuous-time system, the constructed fuzzy system is converted into a continuous-time system. The developed continuous-time control law is converted into an equivalent slow-rate digital control law using the proposed digital redesign method. The digital redesign technique using a fuzzy model is employed to simulate the inverted pendulum dynamics.

FNNs was fused of Fuzzy Inference which has linguistic property and Neural Network which has learning ability and high tolerence level. This paper, We used FNNs which was proposed by Yamakawa. The FNNs was composed Simple Inference and Error Back Propagation Algorithm. To obtain optimal model, parameter of membership function, learning rate and momentum coefficient of FNNs are tuned using genetic algorithm. And we used simplex algorithm additionaly to overcome limit of genetic algorithm. For the purpose of evaluation of proposed method, we applied proposed method to traffic choice process and waste water treatment process, and then obtained more precise model than other previous optimization methods and objective model.

  • Fuzzy modelling has the approximation property far the given input-output relationship. Especially, Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models are widely used because they show very good performance in the nonlinear function approximation problem. But generally there is not the systematic method incorporating the human expert's knowledge or experience in fuzzy rules and it is not easy to End the membership function of fuzzy rule to minimize the output error as well. The ANFIS (Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference Systems) is one of the neural network based fuzzy modelling methods that can be used with various type of fuzzy rules. But in this model, it is the problem to End the optimum number of fuzzy rules in fuzzy model. In this paper, a new fuzzy modelling method based on the ANFIS and pruning techniques with the measure named impact factor is proposed and the performance of proposed method is evaluated with several simulation results.

  • In this paper, we propose a neuro-fuzzy modeling to improve the performance using the hierarchical clustering and Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM). The hierarchical clustering algorithm has a property of producing unique parameters for the given data because it does not use the object function to perform the clustering. After optimizing the obtained parameters using the GMM, we apply them as initial parameters for Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System. Here, the number of fuzzy rules becomes to the cluster numbers. From this, we can improve the performance index and reduce the number of rules simultaneously. The proposed method is verified by applying to a neuro-fuzzy modeling for Box-Jenkins s gas furnace data and Sugeno's nonlinear system, which yields better results than previous oiles.
