A parallel communicating automata system is an accepting device based on the communications between more automata working in parallel. It consists of several automata corking independently but communicating with each other by request. We survey several variants of parallel communicating automata systems with respect to their computational power. Other aspects like decidability and complexity matters are also briefly discussed. Some open problem sand directions for future research are finally pointed out.

Because of the limited fossil resources and the need to avoid emissions and toxic waste the future energy supply will be based on a large portion of renewable energies: wind-, solar-, biomass- and geothermal energy. Focus is on the utilization of wind energy coming from onshore- and offshore-sites. Generating electricity from wind is state of the art and feeding large amounts of wind power into the electrical grid will create some additional problems. Suggestions concerning energy storage will be made and the problem of power quality is discussed.

In a linear regression model the idependent variables are frequently subject to measurement errors. For this case, the problem of estimating unknown parameters has been extensively discussed in the literature while very few has been concerned with the effect of measurement errors on prediction. This paper investigates the behavior of the predicted values of the dependent variable in terms of the average mean square error of prediction (AMSEP). AMSEP may be used as a criterion for selecting an appropriate estimation method, for designing an estimation experiment, and for developing cost-effective future sampling schemes.

If the implant is planted in the wrong position or direction, it is disadvantageous for stress distribution, and it is easy to cause complications such as screw loosening, abutment fracture, and implant fracture. If the position or orientation of the implant is not good, efforts should be made to minimize the problem through proper implant prosthetic treatment. In this article, the prosthetic method for facilitating future maintenance in cases with poor implant placement or orientation will be presented.

Estimation of the edge of a distribution has many important applications. It is related to classification, cluster analysis, neural network, and statistical image recovering. The problem also arises in measuring production efficiency in economic systems. Three most promising nonparametric estimators in the existing literature are introduced. Their statistical properties are provided, some of which are new. Themes of future study are also discussed.

This paper presents a linear programming formulation of the aggregate production planning problem for an optical instrument manufacturing company. Taking into account of the various requirements of the company, an L.P model is developed whose objective is to minimize the total cost of production during the planning horizon. The application results and its implications are well understood by the management and expected to be used as a guide line for future production planning.

A simple force-finding process based on an optimization technique is proposed for tensegrity structures. For this purpose, the inverse problem of form-finding process is formulated. Therefore, the position vector of nodes and element connectivity information are provided as priori. Several benchmark tests are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the present force-finding process. In particular, the force density distributions of simplex tensegrity are thoroughly investigated with the important parameters such as the radius, height and twisting angle of simplex tensegrity. Finally, the force density distribution of arch tensegrity is produced by using the present force-finding process for a future reference solution.

China has a big population(22% of the world) and small cultivated land( only 7% of the world). Agriculture is very important and it has solved the problem of people's eating and wearing, and now it is creating favourable conditions for the state modernization and people's comparatively well-off. Farm mechanization plays an role in agriculture and has primarily developed. But the development is complicated since the big rural labour force and the small per capita cultivated land. The development and features of farm mechanization in China was summarized and the future task and its countermeasure was discussed in this paper.

We obtain similar types of conclusions as that of $Br{\ddot{u}}ck$ [1] for two differential polynomials which in turn radically improve and generalize several existing results. Moreover a number of examples have been exhibited to justify the necessity or sharpness of some conditions used in the paper. At last we pose an open problem for future research.
