The increase in seaborne cargoes has made our coastal traffic congested, and future coastal traffic is also expected to increase considerably as result of our economic development and high dependence on foreign trade. This increased traffic may be a cause of serious sea pollution as well as greater number of sea accidents. In view of this problem the introduction of VTMS along on our coast is required, following careful study of a large number of foreign systems. This paper analyzes the actual condition of 132 VTMSs in the world from the view point of management method authority of VTMS, coverage and characteristics of system. And this results provide helpful information for the development of VTMS in the future and for the implementation of VTMS in our coastal waterway.

Groundwater has been a very precious resource for human life and economic development in the world. With increasing population and food demand, the groundwater use especially for agriculture is largely elevated worldwide. The very much large groundwater use results in depletion of major aquifers, land subsidences in many large cities, anthropogenic groundwater contamination, seawater intrusion in coastal areas and accompanying severe conflicts for water security. Furthermore, with the advent of changing climate, securing freshwater supply including groundwater becomes a pressing and critical issue for sustainable societal development in every country because prediction of precipitation is more difficult, its uneven distribution is aggravating, weather extremes are more frequent, and rising sea level is also threatening the freshwater resource. Under these difficulties, can groundwater be sustaining its role as essential element for human and society in the near future? We have to focus our efforts and wisdom on answering the question. Korean government should increase its investment in securing groundwater resources for changing climate.

This paper gives a brief outline of STiLL related research and its practical applications in Europe, U.S.A, and Japan with a view to encouraging Korean speech scientists and developers as well as linguists and pedagogues to cooperate further for more active participation in this field. The state-of-the-art technologies, academic groups, conferences as well as major STiLL softwares are introduced followed by considerations on the current states, problems of STiLL in Korea, and some suggestions for future development.?⨀

At Present, high-quality paper finishes are obtained by the exclusive un of supercalenders and softcalenders. Experience has shown that both calendering processes will not always k able to meet future requirements of increased efficiency combined with improved paper finish. The answer to these challenges is the development of a new technology, a synergy of supercalender and soft-calender called the “Janus concept”. This paper outlines the rationale behind this new development as well in the technical characteristics providing for the successful online integration irrespective of production speed. Laboratory results are included ta demonstrate that the Janus Concept enables a high-quality SC finish even at PM or CM speeds.

As many architects and visionaries have shown over a period spanning more than a century, the re-creation of the urban realm in the sky through connections between buildings at height has a vast potential for the enrichment of our cities. To many it seems nonsensical that, although the $20^{th}$ and now $21^{st}$ century, have clearly seen a push towards greater height and urban density in our major urban centers, the ground-pavement level remains almost exclusively the sole physical plane of connection. As the world rapidly urbanizes, greater thought needs to be expended on how horizontal space can be developed at height. This paper briefly describes the history, present classifications and uses, and potential future development potential of skybridges between tall buildings.

Purpose - This describes a comparative study about the Online banking system between developing country (Bangladesh) and developed country (South Korea). Research design, data, and Methodology - Use comparison as the descriptive situation, secondary data were used to determine the differences between both countries with respect to Online banking. And also show the representative cases of online banking, kakao bank and bKash. Result - The results showed that the data indicate that both nations are dissimilar in providing basic and additional services offered by their traditional commercial banks. And different cultures and traditions in financial industry will play a major role in the adaption and development of online banking industry among different nations. Belief on lack of effort on educating the consumers toward online banking further affected the usability of online banking in both countries. Conclusions - this comparative study provides insightful guidelines for the future development of online banking industry in developing nations and worldwide. Also, managerial and empirical implications are discussed with suggestions for future research.

In order to support biomimicry technology development, it is necessary to develop an omnidirectional service platform which can recommend principles of biomimicry and business ideas, providing experts' networks and carrying out their relevant education and promotion on the ground of baseline data and application research materials related to biomimicry. This study was conducted to establish any probable plans for construction and utilization of the future open-platform which will collect and serve the technology of biomimicry. Accordingly, biological and ecological information databases were examined along with the appreciation of construction and management of major biomimicry DB, and, based on the materials from the interview of related experts, a customer journey map was schematized. Lastly, in order to suggest a mid-to-long-term target-model, the roles of a future biomimicry knowledge service-platform were determined along with the potential plans for its construction and management based on case analysis and customers' needs.

Digital education has emerged all over the world with a new wave of learning innovations and opportunities. Higher education institutions need to develop the digital competence of future specialists and train teachers who are creative individuals, have the skills to use digital technologies, and are able to solve problems, make important decisions, effectively manage their own lives, and realize their potential. In this aspect, the strategy for evaluating the results of the educational achievements of future specialists is important. The purpose of the article is to analyze the use of distance technologies in higher education institutions in the context of the development of a system for assessing the quality of education. Methodology implies the application of theoretical methods of analysis.

The agricultural industry is beset by continuing demands to decrease the use of pest control agents which employ toxic modes of action. Although there are real problems of pesticide resistance, and sometimes overuse or redistribution in the environment, much criticism results from a lack of appreciation of how small is the risk involved. Whatever the background reasons, research and development for pesticide alternatives, particularly within Integrated Pest Management systems, is clearly of high priority. Currently available approaches, including use of natural products and molecular biology, are often regarded with naive optimism and require critical appraisal. For the future, methods of pest control based on chemicals with non-toxic modes of action (e.g. pheromones) continue to offer promise but, for widespread use, will require their integration with biological agents and development by means of plant molecular biology.

Domestic and foreign high-rise buildings are expected to continue to increase in the future. In addition, recently, residents and landlords are demanding maintenance necessary to secure the performance of sustainable buildings, so an effective management plan is needed. Therefore, this study aims to develop customized technologies that can be effectively applied to building structures by comprehensively analyzing existing technology-based research cases. As a result, it is expected that this will serve as a stepping stone to present a s+ample of future technology development along with a reduction in labor dependency on maintenance and quality improvement.
